  1. So, Evernote decided to create 118 blank notebook copies of two of my notebooks. Needless to say I now have like 250 notebooks and sometimes experience sync issues, which I suspect could be related to these numerous extra notebooks. It really pains me to delete 240 notebooks one by one. Is there any other way to do this? I'm also really curious as to why this has happened? And only for two notebooks? (Though I guess I should be lucky it wasn't for all my notebooks!)
  2. Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this. I have a basic account and I started some notebooks years ago to share with my colleagues. (a very small organization). I am now leaving this organization and would like to disconnect from those notebooks that are still used by my colleagues, but I am the owner of those notebooks. Can I delete them, or will they disappear for everyone? And how could I make someone else the owner, so they can kick me out of the notebooks? Many thanks!
  3. This is the second time I've tried to use EN. The first was on my Android; I aborted quickly because it wasn't an intuitive system and I had no particular goal, was just exploring. I wrote it off. Today I opened it on my Mac Air with the specific goal of starting a garden journal. So far: very frustrating. Here are the two specific roadblocks I've come up against: 1.) I created a new notebook and named it (surprise!) Garden. All the "Getting Started" info showed up in my workspace. I attempted to delete it. A pop-up appeared in the upper right corner, next to an icon of a locked padlock: "This note was created in another application. To edit this note, open it in the application where it was created." Another application??? I just created the damned thing 60 seconds before trying to edit it. What else could I possibly open it in? 2.) Because I could do nothing with this notebook, I decided to delete it and start fresh. I control-clicked the icon of the Garden notebook from the list (the only other notebook icon on the page has a trash can picture on it). The drop-down menu has a Delete Notebook option on it, but it's greyed out. I attempted to pull the Garden notebook icon over the other notebook icon with the Trash picture on it. No good. So now I have a notebook I can't edit or delete, and a deep curiosity as to why this application is so non-intuitive. Give up again? I figured I'd ask here first. Oh, and I did probe through the Getting Started and Help pages. Nothing seemed applicable; the video shows the act of beginning a new notebook, but no Getting Started text on the fresh page, thus no info on how to remove it - or in fact on how to make the notebook editable. Any help appreciated.
  4. I have Evernote for my PC and my iPhone. I have a shared notebook from someone else that I have copied and re-tagged, and now I would like to take it off. However, I have privaledges to edit the notebook. I'm worried that I will delete the shared notebook instead of remove my sharing privaledges. Is there any way that I can un-share myself without requesting the original sharer to do so? When I click "delete" on the folder I get the following window. "Are you sure you want to delete the notebook stack 'name'? None of your notebooks or notes will be deleted. This operation cannot be undone. Delete Stack/Cancel" Am I deleting there's as well? Or am I just deleting it from my account? Thanks for the advice, JB
  5. Hi, I like your app a lot, but find it very irritating and time consuming, that the note list jumps to the top of the list, when I delete a note, so I have to scroll all the way down again, to resume deleting more notes. I hope it will be possible to eliminate this apparent bug in the next update. Kindly, Kaliya
  6. Hi All, I'm an EN Business Admin and have created and shared a few notebooks to trial. Of the many problems I have encountered (dealt with elsewhere on these forums by many others!) one is particularly irritating. When I right click on a business notebook (that I have created an shared into the library) in the left panel (ie not in the library console) I am given the option to LEAVE the notebook and no option to UNSHARE it from the Library. Anyone else have this? When I click properties the dialogue box says the notebook was shared by *MyBusinessName* and not me! When I go to the admin console online it says that i am the contact person for the notebook (not *MyBusinessName*) and I am allowed to delete the notebook entirely, but not to remove it (I know this has been dealt with elsewhere). In the Business Library Console (inside Evernote desktop) I am listed as the owner of the notebook but right clicking does nothing (no pop up). First I find all this very weird and wondered if I'm alone. Second (and listen up Evernote because a lot of people are really fed up with this) - as an admin I need more control over notebooks that are going into the library, especially if I am the notebook owner! Any help appreciated. Peace out!
  7. I've set up Evernote to be my RSS reader, so I'll often delete a bunch of notes consecutively (read a note, delete it, read another, delete, etc.). When I delete a note in snippet view, the note that is automatically selected when the deletion goes through is the note above the deleted one, not the one below. For instance, if I delete the note third from the top of the list, once that note is deleted, Evernote automatically selects the second note in the list, not the note that had been fourth and is now third. Does that description make sense? Is there any way I can change this? It's both counter to the logic I've become used to with this action in other programs, and it's a hindrance on my use of Evernote, since it means having to click again to select the next note, the one I actually want to see, after every time I delete a note. If there's no way to configure my Evernote to make this change, consider this a feature request. [EDIT: What I'm describing might happen in all views; I don't know. I mention snippet view only because it's the only view I use.]
