  1. On both desktop and mobile versions, I'd like for there to be an option to freely move around your notes, because sometimes when I make new notes, I'd like to move them to a specific spot in my list of notes. Other notetaking apps like Google Keep has this.
  2. Option to create your own heading styles and add shortcuts to them would be super effective. At least create predefined styles like mac notes app has. This basic feature is needed, the only thing that stops me from completely switching from mac notes app. That and simpler harmonious design, a little better synchronization.
  3. Hi ? It would be more pleasant to read and write notes if we can customize the layout and typography. Like Bear App (http://www.bear-writer.com/). Thanks ?
  4. Hi, Why the setting for resizing font and line-spacing doesn't exist for Evernote Web Clipper (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AyE9eL9nFvvKvevcgYL8qj9pXGniw9n3)? It would be more confortable for the reading. Like Firefox Reading Mode (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1WIWbq88P4qijcmZAtQk8NNAgrDaCj-_i). Thanks, Thierry.
  5. According to some on this forum, the lack of the rather obvious and simple manual-sort feature was a 'design' decision. I doubt it's really that —it probably costs more to add, enact, and maintain a manual-sort algorithm— but if it's related to money/resources, you should consider adding manual-sort to the Premium Services. I'd pay for that in a heartbeat. Anyway, even iTunes —configured for anybody from the most uninitiated to advanced-customizers— has this manual sort option within their playlists. Just as iTunes would lose many users to another app that supplied the clear, obvious, and ultimately easily-satisfiable demand to arrange things as the user wants on the basic level, Evernote surely has and will (me included) lose users and good-reviews to other companies that include this basic option. That's one of the main reasons I will not be renewing my Evernote Premium service this time around. It's disappointing: as seen in the Beta online version, Evernote has gone in the direction of assuming that lessening options in and of itself offers peace of mind of a sort. While minimalism does avoid overwhelm, you should acknowledge the deeper psychological truth: make options bigger WHERE REQUESTED — meaning that you make the environment minimalist, with small buttons that open up options if the user wants. This is the basic design attitude for all mac-inspired folks and I would've expected this from Evernote since they seem to be in that aesthetic camp. This app no longer is useful for anyone who plans to use it for anything related to any sort of fluid and day to day prioritization, project, communication, or even just preferences that all can evolve quickly (the response that you have so-called 'workarounds' to codify every single note is absurd because each time things change as they do in real life we must re-code every time according to the newly-evolved priority levels) Sincerely — Hopefully, V
  6. Currently, there is a "hack" for notes that allows you to arrange them in any order you choose, with a super intuitive drag-and-drop. PLEASE make this a standard feature! The 'hack' allows you to take all notes in a notebook (or as many as you so choose), drop them in a reminder, and BAM, the order you want them is is stickied to the top of the notebook and editable at will. This allows the ultimate flexibility, especially for notebooks, because it sometimes people don't want 'INBOX' above 'PROJECTS' and below 'HOME.' Using renaming hacks is not intuitive, and makes thisng difficulty every time you add a new notebook. Drag and drop is super intuitive AND already available in other programs! (Like OneNote and ToDoIst). Please make it happen!
  7. Hi! New to Evernote. I need to figure out how to do the following in Evernote Web on my PC or Evernote on my iPad. Either one. 1. Import more fonts (7 fonts total?) 2. Increase margin space. Where are my margins? I need to make marginalia. 3. View notebooks as... notebooks. 4. Add custom notebook covers... if you can do #3. 5. Figure out how to write marginalia in the margins.. if you can do #2. By this i do not mean typing.. i mean actually writing on my ipad in the margins. Is there an app affiliated with Evernote to do this? If not, what is another app.
  8. I use penultimate all the time daily. However I do not use the paper rule styles because they are too wide for me (even the narrow). I would like simple option to define your own rule width that would allow me take my notes in the small writing that I use.
  9. I know everybody says not to set up Evernote like a physical file system. However in a tickler system there is a relationship between the notebooks and it is shown by the position in the stack (how it is sorted). I have a stack called "Tickler File" which has 31 Day notebooks and 12 Month notebooks. Currently I have to use the arcane method of prefixing the notebook names with special characters. It took me quite awhile to find a set of characters that worked both on my iPhone 6+ and my Dell laptop running Windows 8. To reset the positions in the stack I am forced to edit ALL the Day notebooks on a monthly basis and the 12 Month notebooks on a yearly basis. All because there is NO CUSTOM SORTING OPTION. When in edit mode (on IOS) you should get the standard 3 bar icon to drag and drop the notebook in its new position in the stack. How hard can that be to implement. I have been programming over 50 years - all you need is an intermediate set of pointers. SURE WOULD MAKE EVERNOTE A MORE VALUABLE APP AND WOULD INCREASE YOUR SALES. I WOULD PAY FOR PREMIUM IF YOU WOULD IMPLEMENT. Custom sorting would be nice for Shortcuts also so the user can control what is displayed in the preview window.
  10. I find myself constantly going in and out of different Notebooks as I reference files from different quarters (in college). My problem is that I can only organize my Notebooks by Name, Count, or last Updated. I would love to be able to manually customize the way my Notebooks are displayed.
  11. Hi there, Windows version: I would like to be able to custom sort my tags, saved searches as well as these complete categories. Personally I want to have the saved searches on top, then my tags. The rest I do not use. iOS version: Would like to see that same nested structure for my tags as I created in the windows version. Now it is one huge, long, unworkable list. thanks Remco.
  12. Reposted with new login, sorry for the redundancy. As a college student using Evernote/MacBook Pro to take notes in class, efficiency is paramount. Specifically, I'm referring to the process of taking audio notes. Currently, the process is as follows: 1.) Click the "Audio Note" button in the toolbar (the toolbar in the actual note). 2.) Wait a second for the "Record" button to show up. 3.) Click "Record" 4.) Once you have recorded what you want click "Save" to end your recording. ...and then the button that was previously "Record/Save" changes to "Play"? Why? My point is...in order to start another recording, you have to go to the other side of the Note Window and either press "Done" or the "Audio Note" button and THEN repeat Steps 3 & 4 again. I realize ^this sounds greedy/nit-picky but I feel it's a valid request seeing as I make several audio recordings per lecture. And I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. In my opinion, the "Play" button feature should be changed to "Record." In doing so, it would make the process of capturing ever detail of what's needed MUCH easier. BOTTOM LINE: Please, either change the "Play" Button to "Record" and/or allow for the Customization of the toolbar in the actual note (not referring to the application toolbar that already allows customization). Thanks for a truly great product (with the exception of my request), Phil
