  1. I would love to be able to crop photos I've taken via the camera - there's usually excess content in the image.
  2. First of all, it took me forever to find out how to crop a photo in Evernote. Put "crop photo" into the Search menu and nothing really relevant pops up. Please fix this. You call it "annotating" a photo. I call it crop. Ask any photographer if they annotate or crop. Second, if I have to crop, say, 30 photos, for instance, I have to manually pick each photo from the annotate menu, do my crop, save, go back to annotate menu and repeat. You could cut down on the number of steps required if I could just go to "next" photo (EN automatically saves my previous crop) and do my adjust. Next, adjust, next, adjust, next, adjust, etc. EASY, instead of always forced to return to the little annotate icon to pick another photo. Third, I take a lot of photos sitting in class of whiteboards and TV displays and LED projections. A lot of times they can be hard to read because the color balance is way off, or the contrast is low, or color is washed out. PLEASE add a set of simple tools where I can adjust the quality of the photo. AND be sure to enable me to apply that adjustment to each photo with a simple paste command. I do not want to have to do it manually again for each of those numerous photos in that notebook. Thank you, I hope this will be forwarded to a development team there.
  3. A few months ago, you could long press an image to crop, after cropping there will be popup that will ask whether you want to replace with new image. Just 3 steps: 1) Long press, 2) crop, 3) click yes to replace Now its 9 ***** steps 1) Press to view, 2) menu button, 3) edit, 4) after cropping click back button to go back to evernote, 5) Long press image 6) delete 7) Add attachment button 8) Click photo option 9) Select the new image to add Can you add back the old function?
  4. Normally, I took a picture on a note and cropped the image for adjusting by the crop function on gallery. Before the update, at the last stage Evernote ask me "replace or ......". But update to 7 version, there's no question when I touch the save button and there's no change on the image on the note. Moreover, on my android tablet, asks me "replace....." but it works not. It is same as before even the message was stored. Please help me. Thanks.
  5. Help! I need to get the crop option back in the annotation tool within Evernote. It used to be there, but with an update the cropping function was lost. This is very annoying. I am running Evernote version 6.0.6 on a Mac running OS X version 10.9.5.
  6. The very top line of the Business Notebook pages contains a sort of title (or subject) line and the to-do check-box. It's an elegant design, and it's very useful. But Evernote for iOS (ver. 7.4.2.310718) sporadically auto-crops (cuts off) this top line of the page in images made with the Evernote camera function. It happens fairly often -- maybe one in every 7 or 8 captures -- and I've not been able to determine a cause. I have to delete the page and re-capture it to remedy (to my knowledge, there's no way to re-crop the image once it's in if you use the Evernote capture). I've never had the auto-crop feature encroach on any other boundary of the notebook pages (bottom or sides). Actually, the auto-crop feature performs extraordinarily well for me except for this top-line problem. Since I've started noticing this, I'm extremely careful about the boundaries when I'm capturing Business Notebook pages. I'm certain that I'm not inadvertently cutting off the top line with the camera. And I have a black surface in my office that I use as a background, so the contrast between the background and the page is very high. Sometimes the error will occur with a single-page capture, and sometimes it'll occur in multi-page captures (e.g., page 3 of 4 will be the only one with the top line cut off). Anyone else seeing this? Thanks, -Damon
  7. (I am running Android 4.3 on a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and I have the latest version of Evernote for this OS/device.) Hi All. These are the steps I am taking to edit a picture, followed by the problem and some symptoms that may help people tell me what I am doing wrong: While editing a note (not in the default notebook) that has an image (jpeg), I tap and hold the image and select "edit". A bubble (if that's the right word) pops up at the bottom of the screen and says "Resource not changed". The default Android image editor opens. A further bubble then appears saying "Saving note in [notebook name]...". I edit the image, for example using Crop, and tap the save icon. A bubble appears saying "Saved". I tap the back arrow on the top left of the screen to return to Evernote. The problem: on returning to Evernote the picture remains unchanged. Symptoms: The edited image is saved to an evernote folder called "unsaved_notes".Sometimes (I cannot work out under what conditions this happens, and usually it doesn't) the edited image is saved to a new note in the default notebook. When editing a note, if I tap and hold on an image and select "Mark up" the marked up image is saved in the note as expected. All this leads me to believe there is some problem in the interface between the image editor and Evernote. Maybe it is possible to associate Evernote with a different image editor. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  8. Been trying to clip an image from a webpage for almost an hour now. Clipper sidebar is erratic and keeps popping in and out. When I get the clipper function to start, and select "crop", it takes me to the top of the webpage and gives me a box that doesn't include the image I want. (It's near the bottom of the page) Best I can tell, there's no way to scroll down to the image, and also, I'm looking at the image when I select the clipper tool. Anybody know what's up?
  9. I have 1 picture per note (they're photos of exercises) and I want the full picture to show in the thumbnail. But, each thumbnail is zoomed in and crops out a lot of the image. I have the Windows Desktop version, and the Android version on my tablet and phone. Thanks.
  10. I suppose the problem related to retina display only. When I capture a screenshot by using default Mac functionality, then open it with Skitch, I cannot properly crop the image using Skitch crop. The first image: I selected a region like this with Crop tool. However, when I click Apply, I got this:
  11. Been using Penultimate for a few days now. It's great, but a few functions are either missing, or I can't find. Many have been talked about in other threads, such as syncing, tagging, moving to different Notebook in Evernote, etc. The things I haven't seen before: Can you crop images? I can't find a way. An invisible layer over the current page. There is talk of "highlighting", but I'm thinking of an entire invisible layer you can on which can be easily removed/hidden and will not change the layer(s) below. Think Layers in Photoshop. If these are available: Please let me know how to use them. If these are not available: Please make them available, then see "If these are available:" above.
  12. Greetings -- I am figuring out a workflow to tweet web clips from Skitch for Mac, and the "Snap Safari" option seems to be the best way to automatically capture the source URL. Problem is that the resultant Skitch image is the entire page, and I only want to include a portion, but I can't figure out how to crop! Recommendations welcome; many thanks. Jim
