I would really love to be able to go into the options panel and set the default paste to exclude all formatting. Evernote is a good lightweight word processor, but I strongly prefer all of my notes to be uniform in style. I find it makes it a lot easier to navigate my notes across all platforms. Really, the only formatting stuff I use is occasionally bold or italics. Any time I paste stuff from another program it's a pain having to fix the formatting so I can navigate around it easily. As far as I can tell, there's currently no way to accomplish this.

Hi, I selected the whole text of one of my Evernote notes then copied and tried to paste it in my web blog (Wordpress). However, although I have tried several paste options (ie. paste as text, unformatted text, clear formatting, etc.), Evernote margins seem to have transferred along with the document, causing unreasonable hyphenations at the line ends and formatting errors on the document. I have tried to paste my selection to text editor and Word as well, and got exactly the same errors. Does anyone know why is this happening? I will have to quit using Evernote to keep my notes if I can not fix this problem. It was not happening before btw. Thanks. -
It is astounding to me that in order to copy text from Evernote to Powerpoint and maintain the formatting I first have to copy and paste into word, and only then can I copy and paste into powerpoint. Given the new emphasis on Evernote Business, one hopes this failing will quickly be overcome. Anyone have an update on this?

I've been using EN quite a while. Sometimes it drives me crazy, please help resolve the problem. Issue: when I'm copying formatted and colored text from any html page or from Word, Visual Studio to Evernote, sometimes Evernote pasting the text and it has all original colors in it, sometimes I just can't do it. For example: today I've copied some code from Visual Studio to Evernote and I got perfect colors: Then I thought: "Hm... what if I choose red color for text in Evernote (Button "A"), write something and then try to paste THE SAME text from Visual Studio." Since then when pasting there are no colors. I've tried making new note, choose different color in this "A" color button, reopen Evernote. Nothing helps! The text is just plain black after pasting. Doesn't matter what settings, what text Tried CTRL + Space(Simplify Formatting) - won't do. So the question is: I just want the colors when pasting text to Evernote. I know Evernote copies not only text, but its formatting too (from browser for example), but sometimes it just won't work and I can't do anything. What should I do? Please reply. Hi all I'm new to using Evernote and so far, I'm absolutely thrilled about the program It's really helped me organize a lot better. The only thing that rattles my newfound love for the program is that I don't know how to get around the webclipper. Ex. I'm copying a single word from a page with CTRL + C and then when I try to paste it in to Google with CTRL + V, it instead makes a new note in Evernote. We're both using Mozilla and Chrome at home here, and I really can't figure out how I stop it from doing that? Is there anyone who can give me a quick explanation? pref in a VERY simple language Thank you in advance

horizontal rule doesn't get copied when copying&pasting. at least not into firefox.

I'm wondering if there's some way to copy/paste the indexed text from images/pdfs. I can successfully search and find the text in the image, but there's a part I'd like to not have to retype to share with someone. Thanks.
