Evernote is a wonderful platform, but I have a concern and I am sure I am not alone. I want to use Evernote for managing all sorts of information related to work projects, but I want to have the ability to export them to a desktop folder to use elsewhere if I want to. As far as I can tell, Evernote supports exports in PDF and HTML, but this is not very useful to me. I would like to be able to export to .doc or .txt so I can use my data outside of Evernote if I ever choose to. Right now it seems that content is basically trapped in Evernote's ecosystem forever. Please tell me I am wrong.
I considered Cloudq but it's kind of pricey. I'm looking to automatically backup my EN Database locally or to a Cloud Solution; preferably DropBox since I already use it. When I tried configuring DropBox to backup my EN Database, I get an error, "The action cannot be completed because the file is open in Evernote. Close the file and try again." Any advice? https://www.cloudhq.net/dropbox
I am trying to sync my entire evernote system to my computer (two way) so that I can look at my evernote "notes" in a folder, the same way a standard file system works on a mac. I have tried using services like socialfolders and cloud HQ and both sorta work, however both create folders that mirror my notebooks but then within those notebook folders they not only creates "note" folders (each corresponding to the individual notes) but they also create other individual documents that lie outside the corresponding folder. These leads to more confusion... I want to sync a notebook to my computer that will create a folder that mirrors the notebook itself and then each of the notes within the notebook would then be mirrored to individual folders nested within the main notebook folder... Is this possible? Does a service exist? Can a script be written? Any help would be appreciated.
