  1. Clipping web pages is a great feature, but it's now quite tedious to get back to the original page from within the note. The old interface provided a link to the page at the top of the note (which opened in a new tab), but now it's hidden in the note info. That wouldn't be too bad, but the URL is in a text box, meaning we can't click it to go to the page - it has to be manually copied and pasted into a new tab. Please add a faster way to get from a note to the original page! Steve.
  2. Hi there. One of the things I really want to do with Evernote is save the details of items I buy from EBay or gumtree - the listing reference number ID, listing title, the description, price, seller and all the photos. If I try to export / share from eBay app or gumtree app all I get is the title. Am I missing something obvious or is no one else wanting to capture this kind of thing? I read a post about eBay clippings that have text and thumbnails and ENML but I’m not even sure they were talking about the same thing that I’m trying to figure out. Any help or even a point in the right direction would be awesome.
  3. I use the Evernote Icon to clip articles from WSJ directly into Evernote. Is this feature available with orther Websites?
  4. Hi, Often times I clip articles that I didn't realize I had already clipped. It would be handy to: 1.) Be notified that this URL has already been clipped 2.) Show us a count of how many duplicates of those URLs we have in my Evernote 3.) Allow us to delete them IF there are no additional texts/markups that we added ourselves (e.g. if it's just an unaltered article clip) 4.) Show or allow us to see or compare what if any differences there are between the articles At a macro level, I'd like to be able to run this across all of my notes and help clean out unmodified duplicates. Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions.
  5. PLEASE add the option to prevent the redundant popup window that appears after we have clipped an email. I posted a jpg showing the three steps that must currently be taken to clip an email - it should be shorter/easier and more customizable. For me, the purpose of the email clipper is to clip/save an email into a certain folder for quick and easy action/follow up/review at a later date. At present, there are three steps (which isn't exactly quick or streamlined): Clip the "save to Evernote" button in the top toolbar (I'm using Outlook 2016/Office 365 on Windows 7 Pro for reference). - See Image/Step #1 in gif. Select/approve the notebook to save the clip to, with the option to add tags or remarks. - See image/Step #2 in gif. (THIS IS WHERE THE PROCESS SHOULD END.) Then we get a third/unwanted step when yet another window pops up. To close it, we have to pause our process/flow to close the window. Sounds nit picky, and it is, but I want the option to disable or skip this step altogether. - See image/Step #3 in gif. Please see the attached gif if my request is not clear. Fellow users - PLEASE take a second to VOTE on this. The more votes it gets, the more likely they are to add this feature. Thanks!
  6. Hi there! We are using a html icon on our websites to clip website to evernote. Evernote icon open the following url: https://www.evernote.com/clip.action?url=${url}&t=${title} Unfortunately evernote response with not expressive error, for example: Request to https://www.evernote.com/clip.action?url=https://www.wertesysteme.de&t=title returns following error: Clipping error Sorry, we were unable to capture Clip:https://www.wertesysteme.de at https://www.wertesysteme.de. Some web sites are constructed in a way that prevents us from clipping their content. Can we somehow get the exact error? Are there any debug tools? Thank you very much in advance
  7. I like the evernote clipper tool for websites. But I really want to clip a "print view" or maybe even have a print to evernote option. My use case is when I find a recipe online I want to be able to save to a note a nice clean recipe view which you typically only get in print mode. Otherwise you save the whole page or a sceen shot and get all the ads and other foo I dont need or care about.
  8. When I try to clip from a html page in my hard disk (not from the www) by Evernote Firefox clipper, it does not clip the article - it only asks to clip URL. Is this a bug - or is there any specific reason for this?
9. Hello everyone! I maintain a few sites that use Wordpress. I would like to add a "Clip to Evernote" sharing service to my sharing options. I found one but it hasn't been updated in two years. Does anyone use one that they like or recommend how I can build one? Thanks
  10. In the Chrome Evernote extension, I'm given the option to saved a Youtube video when on a Youtube page. It results in an image such as this: If I click it, it takes me to the Youtube video like any other link. I can't edit or copy it. The Firefox extension does not give me this option. How can I manually add a picture link such as this to a note?
  11. Hi I wish to download the app to my cell. I went to Google shop and the app ask for fee. As premium, can I download it for free? How? Thanks Sharona
  12. I follow the usual steps: Find a web page that I like in Chrome, select Options > Share > Evernote. The green Evernote Clipper starts whirling at the bottom of the screen. The new note appears with what has been clipped, but no URL! Up until recently this new note would have contained just the URL of the page. Now it saves a screen capture and no URL. I have checked that the whirling clipper is set correctly ("Clip full article" is un-ticked). This started happening a few weeks ago. Anybody else experiencing this? Evernote ver. 7.9.3 Android 5.0.1 Samsung S4 GT-I9505
  13. I"m a new user. When saving something while on the web, it would seem natural for there to be a way to add a new notebook. Am I missing something?
  14. I have set default clip action in my chrome extensions to be "Article", however everytime I clicked at the icon, it always auto select "Simplified Article". How do I make this right ? Also, I really would like the option for default clip action to be "Screenshot" as I find it what I needed the most.

  17. Ok, so I recently upgraded to Evernote Premium, downloaded the Chrome Web Clipper plugin, as well as Skitch. I am conducting some research and wanted to embed a clipping from a Google search. I did so, edited it with Skitch, and saved the clipping to Evernote. No big deal... After a quick sync, the new note with the clipping appeared in my notes, and I copied&pasted the clipping to an existing note that I had been working in. It pasted without any issues, BUT! shortly after, (within 5 seconds), it literally DISAPPEARS! Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions/solutions/answers? Thanks ~Fletch
  18. I love the new version that supports full article clipping. One thing I sorely still need is the ability to also include a note with some context so I can recall later why I clipped the page that can be put at the top. Tags are helpful but can't alone give a full picture.
  19. The problem I love to clip pages to my Evernote - it does a great job of bookmarking (i.e. capturing the url) and storing (capturing the page content, etc). But I often just have a URL, if it's a link that someone sent me, or because I'm on iOS (the mobile clipper's are terrible) The solution I'd like to post a link in the url field in a note, and have Evernote itself grab the article rather than my browser. This would be far more stable and would mean a better experience on iOS - I could just copy and paste the URL into Evernote and not worry about the browser/clipper again.
  20. Is there a config option hidden somewhere that will prevent the "markup" panel from popping each and every time I take a screen capture? One use of Evernote that I use it for is generating screen shots of websites/software when producing user guides / manuals etc. It's a quick method of taking a number of screen shots which I can then either manipulate in an external graphics editor, or simply copy/paste into my user guides/manuals etc etc. After a recent update, each time I perform a screen capture, I now have this "markup" panel loading. There doesn't appear to be an option to change this under "Clipping Preferences". Another slightly weird behaviour is that selecting "Open Clipped note in a new window" doesn't actually open up a new window with the clipped note in it. Also, "Show clipped notifications" doesn't have any effect as a notification is shown regardless of this setting. Am not entirely sure what the "Do not show the "New Clip" dialog option should do either, as setting/clearing that option doesn't appear to have any effect. And one final funny with the "Markup" tool, when viewing images from within Evernote client, if I click "Markup" on any image I have created with the "screen clipper", all is fine. The markup panel is opened with the image displayed and I can make any markup changes to the image. Likewise, if I create a new "Markup Note", the screen clipper is then displayed, I take my clip and the markup panel shows my clipped image and allows me to mark it up. If however, I open up an image that was created using for example, the Chrome "Evernote Web Clipper" --> "Clip Image", when the markup panel is opened, there is no image displayed (just a blank markup panel). If you select "Evernote Web Clipper" --> "Clip Screenshot", then a complete image of the screen is saved which you can annotate/markup fine. This is what I see when I open up an image that was created by Chrome "Evernote Web Clipper" --> "Clip Image" And if I click the resize canvas, you get this slightly weird behaviour. In this instance, it's as if the markup tool doesn't know the note is of type "image".
  21. When I clip a page viewed on my PC in Windows>Firefox the drop down menu that usually allows me to edit, tag, etc is empty and the message: "There are no notes to show" comes up even though the item has actually been clipped and is visable when I sync inside of the application. Really miss this handy feature . . . anyone else have this experience and have a fix? Just Plain Bill
  22. When using "Add to Outlook", the "NewClip" Screen used to allow you to type in the notebook area. When you have a lot of notebooks, as avid Evernote Users often do, then it is now difficult to quickly find the one you want since functionality was recently downgraded for Evernote & Outlook Users. In previous versions, you could use the keyboard to find the notebook by simply typing the first few letters, looking at the autofill populated option, and then hitting tab to select the notebook you want. You didn't have to use the mouse, didn't have to hit any other keys, etc. In the current version, if you select more than one letter then it jumps to the top of an alphabetical list of the most recently hit letter from the keyboard entry. I've been trying to live without it for a long time, but it is simply a productivity draw back and I still get frustrated every time I create a clip now (usually 8 to 10 times per day). Desired functionality that used to exist: I am in outlook I choose "Add to Evernote" The "New Clip" Screen shows I verify title - which has autofilled from the title of my "clipped" content. I hit tab. I added whatever tags I want. I hit tab. I hit tab to place my cursor in the Notebook area to select the correct one: I want to select notebook called "Pricing Committee" which is 8th in the list of all notebooks beginning with letter "P". There are no other notebooks that begin with letters p-r-i. I type letters p-r-i and the autofill in the list shows Pricing Committee. I hit tab and the cursor goes to "Add Note" button When I "add note" then the note is created in the notebook selected & with other parameters defined.Current functionality, which is undesired, less functional & takes a lot more time: I am in outlook I choose "Add to Evernote" The "New Clip" Screen shows I verify title - which has autofilled from the title of my "clipped" content. I type letters p-r-i and the notebooks jump in the list from the 1st notebook that starts with P - Immediately jumps in the list from the 1st notebook that starts with R - Lastly jumps in the list from the 1st notebook that starts with I. So... I type letter P and then I scroll through the list of notebooks that start with P. I have to then use my mouse to click away & scroll to the desired notebook in the list --OR--- I hit the down arrow key 7 times until I get to the desired notebook. I hit tab and the cursor goes to "Add Note" button When I "add note" then the note is created in the notebook selected & with other parameters defined. Would really appreciate it if we could get this back, please.
  23. I just ran into something that I don't understand. I tried to clip a full page with the clipper in Chrome and got the message "Cannot Save Clip." I then tried using Simplified Article and the clip was successful. This happened with three pages on one site. I've never run into this before and was wondering whether this was due to the site or whether it's a problem I'm having with Evernote? I just clipped this page as Full Page and it was successful. Thanks for your help. Martin
  24. http://www.precision-sport.com It is telling me it is unable to clip. Read support forums. Tried logging out of Evernote Desktop and logging back in. Then it clipped it (it was in my Car Shopping notebook), but clipper still said and says failed? Any ideas? 25. I'm new here, so forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this. I have an app in my Yahoo email for Dropbox that allows me to save attachments directly to Dropbox. What I would LOVE is an app like the Web Clipper that will allow me to copy important emails in to Evernote. Is there anything like that out there? (I've been using Web Clipper and selecting "article," but I feel that there should be something better.) Thanks in advance.
