  1. Hey guys ! So, I wanted to know : how can I make most efficient use of my 60 mb upload limit when using web and pc client ? Is there any point in using web client if I have the pc one ? What sync settings would be the most optimal to reduce my upload limit ? Maybe some general tips on how to avoid exceeding upload limit ?
  2. Hi and greetings to all, if there was a wish list I'd like to add the plea for creating and modifying personal keyboard shortcuts for a lot more functionality than those currently few for general operations. I like my keyboard and I have to use this artificial finger limb (aka "mouse") quite more often in Evernote than I like to, e. g. to copy a note link which I use all the time. Or is there a solution already I simply don't know about? Thanks for any clues and hints and have a great time!
  3. The indentation arrows for increase/decrease indent are not in the same order in the Windows Client and the webinterface. If you use both, this causes you to frequently select the wrong one. A very simple request: Could you change these to be consistent. My preference would be decrease indent on the left, increase indent on the right. This is the way they're set up on the Windows client. Cheers, Remco.
  4. Hi, I have a feature request to be able to add an email list to send a note or list to when created. This way when a user creates a note they can add a list of emails to send the note to when they are ready to send the note. You can import/link individual or all contacts into Evernote from Google or Microsoft Live or any of the other services that come to mind that keep contacts in their services. Then a user can choose which emails from the list of contacts to send the note or list too. I believe this will enhance the user experience and will broaden the scope and marketing of Evernote by giving all the recipients of the note or list an option within the email to subscribe to Evernote. It doesn't need to just be a feature for paid users only, either, because Evernote will be improving their marketing because all recipients will have a link to purchase a subscription or sign up to Evernote.
  5. I used to be a premium member for several years but I forgot that my payment solution for renewal had expired. So I accidentally ended up with the free plan and here is why I am staying with it. I realize that my reason for it has been mentioned before (quite often indeed) but I am conceptually puzzled - and not just practically frustrated - by Evernote at this point. What I do understand is that we are encouraged to upgrade to premium so that as opposed to 60MB we could store several GBs of data. That makes perfect sense in an increasingly paperless world. What I do not understand is how we can manage the data effectively without massive hard drive. I am a university professor and use (used) Evernote for research. But with each new work laptop that is thinner, there is less hard drive room. I simply cannot download all of my data on the computer. There is no room for that. But it is not feasible to write my articles and books with the web-interface. It's just not efficient enough and I waste too much time waiting for the response and scrolling. On the desktop app, that works but I can no longer install the desktop app. I don't understand how I would upload nearly 10GB of data monthly if I cannot use it selectively. In a nutshell: the lack of selective sync for devices is not just "oh wouldn't be nicer" type of wish. It is crucial for actual research. I genuinely do not understand the conceptual vision anymore. If I am looking for a receipt, a bookmark, or just an occasional file, the web interface would do. Dealing with several hundred footnotes and over a thousand references in the bibliography, Evernote cannot be my tool of choice. Are we expected to pencil in on the calendar that, on the day we renew our plan, we should also buy a new hard drive to keep up? I'll keep an eye on the changes and the moment Evernote implements selective sync. The moment I am able to download one notebook that I am working on and not the entire account on my laptop, I will pay the highest premium for it on the spot.
  6. Sorry for possibly overlooking the obvious, but how can you verify that you are running an EN client (i.e., desktop version) as opposed to the web version? Thanks.
  7. I want to know how syncing takes place in evernote. I am creating app with that syncs data to evernote account. What are the ways to update my app data when changes on evernote web is performed. Does evernote provide any notification mechanism?
  8. Hye, Before, when using the webversion, when starting a line with a tick box, hitting enter gave me another line with a tick box at the beginning, why this has been removed from the current beta web version?! Thanks
  9. Clever is a third party Evernote client for iPhone and it blows me away how well developed and full featured this app is. It has more features than official Evernote clients on ios, you can copy note links, copy notes, use browsing history, use URL schemes to integrate this app with other app and so on. I'm newbie at making video reviews and English isn't my native language but hopefully it's easy to understand. what do you think about the app? Have you tried it? I find it really awesome, would love to see an iPad version. I really like to see more great stuff like this to come out.
  10. I'm sure this will probably already have been suggested, but I'll post this anyway. For a while now I've been using the feature that allows you to send email direct into Evernote. in fact I've built up an entire stack of these emails. But a thought occurred to me, wouldn't it be great Evernote had a built in email client. This would allow you to send/receive emails directly from within Evernote and would eliminate the need to email specific messages into Evernote. You could simply just hit, add to stack. Just thought I'd put it out there. Gary
