  1. Hi All Looking for a bit of advice here with Evernote, I have some checklists created that I want to share with people but in a limited capacity in that they can open a read-only copy of the sheet but are able to tick the checkboxes on that session.
  2. I would like for Evernote to be able to sort a checklist within a note. The user should have the choice of sorting alphabetically or sorting into checked and unchecked.
Estoy a vuestra disposición si necesitáis alguna explicación. Un saludo, Sergio Soriano.
  4. I'd love to see Evernote add the ability to automatically generate a todo list based on all your unchecked checkboxes. There is currently the ability to search for unchecked checkboxes, and to save that search, and then to add that search as a Shortcut - this is all pretty awesome. The result of this is that I get a list of notebooks that include unchecked checkboxes - exactly what I'd expect from a search. What I'd like to see is Evernote automatically generate a "note" that contains, in one stream, all of the unchecked checkboxes in my notes in one view. Context would be critical - both the note the checkbox was in, but also content around the checkbox, so this isn't a slam dunk.
  5. It would be good if Evernote had the ability to pull all to do or checkboxes from all my notes and compile them into a aggregated noted. Same thing for any checkboxes that have been check marked. That way all to do or checkboxes from various notes (i.e., projects) would be compiled into one single aggregated note. Russ
  6. I love using Evernote, however the checkbox feature is currently unusable as there is no way to clear the checked items. If I want to use evernote as a checklist (groceries, packing list, TODOs, etc.) I really need a way to clear all the checked items from the list. This is a must-have feature for me in order to use the checkbox functionality - otherwise using the checkboxes is extremely tedious work. I think this simple feature will make the checkbox functionality extremely useful and make Evernote so much better.
  7. Dear community, I'm using evernote since many years now, and for many of my notes I have a set of checklists. What would be super cool is to know the percentage of completion, e.g. on the title of the note, or somewhere on the top to show the % of completion or the number of checked items over total items. That would be super cool and useful as I could see immediately with no effort how we are progressing on the project, or the tasks. Thanks Best regards, Juan Cruz
  8. Apologies if this is blatantly obvious, or if there is another question on this, but I couldn't find it. I am often getting a list of items from another source and want to put into Evernote as a checklist. It took me forever to figure out how to do this. Clean up your list in your source application. I use Excel for this alot, because I am an accountant, and when I am a hammer, everything looks like a nail to me. So there is little I cannot do with Excel. That's all I'll say about that. The list can have no blank rows, and needs to be in the order you want it in Evernote. Copy the list to a pure TEXT app, like Notepad. Create a new note in Evernote. Create 1 checkbox. Go back to Notepad. CTRL-A, CTRL-C (select all and copy) Go back to Evernote. With your cursor next to the checkbox, just to the right, right-click and select "Paste and Match Style" This should create a massive checklist for you. The trick is Notepad or other text editor. Copying straight from Excel always left me with one checkbox and an unusable grid. You're welcome. I'll try this at home tonight in Evernote for Mac. Not sure if it has the same Paste/Match Style option or not
  9. I want some priority given to To Do checklist. We can have new type of note in a start dedicated only to checklist (like note, audio, photo etc). And when we check one of the items it goes to work completed section. (Either with items scratched or just in different work completed list) (just like google keep, wonderlist or zoho notebook)It will make this app Complete bote taking solution at one stop.
  10. Hi, i think it would be very helpful if a summary of checklist can be displayed at the beginning of one note. Right now when i open a note with several check-boxes located at different position, I often got confused, especially when there are both "to-do" and "completed" boxes. Further more, clicking on one item in this list should bring us to that corresponding paragraph. These may help make evernote even better. Hope you will consider adding these features in the future. Thank you.
  11. I am often taking notes in Evernote on my iphone/ipad and THEN needing to quickly convert a list of whatever into a CHECKLIST of whatever - with checkboxes, like you can do on the Desktop version of Evernote. Please bring this functionality to the iOS version.
  12. If I have a text list using dashes, numbers, or other punctuation, is there a way to automatically convert it to a check list?
  13. Hi, I have recently started using Evernote at work and find it to be a fantastic tool. The checklist feature works well within notes and notebook but I was wondering if there is an easy way to get all checkboxes from each note/notebook into a single 'to-do' list? The list would be its own note and contain just checklist items. If I need to move them manually that's fine, but wanted to check whether I can do it utilising any tools or functionality within Evernote first. Thanks in advance
  14. I have just converted from Springpad and do miss the function to hide checked list items. Or at least as in Google notes to sort them automatically to the end. Some other functionallity I miss: - Automatic save of all changes without having to use the save button (check) - Offline functionallity on my mobile. - When editing it would be nice to have the cursor on top of my notes instead at the end, where I have to scroll down every time I want to ad something. Or at least the view of my list would jump to the cursor. If somebody knows how to change settings to achieve this behavior I would appriciate if you let me know. Thanks, Sigi
  15. Now with a competition from Google keep and the likes I think Evernote should evolve into a complete productivity Tool with a better checklist/ ToDo type notes so we don't have to use separate ToDo apps and NOTE apps. Some features can be included like : Sorting items in the checklist--MODERATELY Tough implementation Strikeout the items for done checklist---EASY implementation Individual reminders for items in checklist--TOUGH implementationC'mon guys would it be really that hard to implement.??
  16. As treasurer of an organization, I need to ensure certain things are done very month. In EN, I created a table and populated it with checkboxes. (Yes, pasting each one by hand. Tedious, but it worked.) See the attached screenshot. I placed narrow empty columns between each quarter to help me keep my bearings further down, since tables don't have repeating headings. No, there's no advanced "checklist" functionality - it's just a way to keep track of what's been done, to help ensure consistency month-to-month.
  17. I created a checklist in the desktop version of Evernote (Mac). And then I started using it on my Android phone, and for a week or so it worked fine - I could check something, add something, delete something. However, now, on the Android version (Galaxy S4), when I try to edit it, I get this error message, "This note contains some unsupported formatting." "This version of Evernote does not support inline editing of webclips. Tap each individual part to edit the content." On the Android version, I can edit each to-do's text, but not create a new check box, or check the box as done. There was also a synching problem early on, where I was going back-and-forth on the phone and laptop. It create a conflict changes version that I eventually resolved, but this is about the point where the mobile version stopped functioning correctly. Got any advice?
  18. Just a niggling little thing. When you push the down button on the keyboard, the cursor will move down from one line to the next. Its horizontal position is normally retained if the next line is as long as the current line. Otherwise, the cursor will skip to the end of the next line. But when a line has only a check box in it (on the Windows client), this doesn't happen. Instead, the cursor jumps to the beginning fo the line, before the check box. Now, this is only when the line has no text after the check box, but when you're trying to type a list of things, it's quite annoying, because if you go back to edit the previous line, and then jump down and start typing, the text goes before the check box.
  19. I would like to request a feature to assign due dates to each to-do (checklist) item and also to each note, just like in Google Tasks. I would also like these due dates to plugin to google calendar. In my opinion, this is the only feature that I think is lacking in evernote - the ability to assign due dates and have it integrate with my google calendar. Thanks!
  20. I am experimenting with using Evernote for keep a checklist of to-do items. I think I can do with the numbered checklist. Since a list can be indented to be a sublist, I can create a rudimentary list with a sub-tasks list. What I'd like to do is to copy (or rather move) an item from one list to another, so I can rearrange them by date or whatever. However it seems that on Windows, if I cut a few lines, the formatting is not quite preserved. When I copy it to other list, it doesn't quite insert and number itself nicely. Also from where I cut, instead of removing that numbered line completely and renumber everything after, it leaves an empty numbered line, and I don't know how to remove this without having to do some shuffling of the few lines of content after. Anyway, wondering if anyone else has better experience with this. Thanks!
  21. Hi, I own a Sony Xperia Arc S. When I create a checklist in Evernote and then when I hit enter it does not create a new checkbox. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong. Regards, Abhishek
  22. Please consider the following checklist functions for future revisions: When the checkbox is checked as completed, the related text is either strike-through or shaded or both, to dramatically indicate that the task is done. Add a menu button that will delete all completed tasks when it is pressed. Add some type of checklist item separation, such as a line. Increase the space between checklist items and increase the size of the checkbox so it is easier for the user to press the checkbox on smartphones.
  23. hi there. I'm using the 'to do checklist' in notes. How do I set it so when I 'tick off' a task it gets deleted? Thanks a lot.
  24. How do I create a checklist within Evernote on iPhone? My original question applied to the Mac as well, but I just realized that Evernote shows me the relevant toolbar (only) once I title my new note. Possibly not the most newbie-friendly behavior.
  25. I have the last EN version on Lion. If I edit a note and create a checklist, when I hit enter it doesn't create a new checklist. But it does if the note is new.
