  1. After browsing I clear cookies and cache of my firefox browser but everytime when I open firefox evernote web clipper ask for login credentials each time. I'm fed up with this. can you solve this issue please?
  2. iOS 11.0.3 - iPhone 6 Evernote 8.5.1 I have logged out and logged back in. I have rebooted the phone. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Nothing works except clearing the cache. Scenario - using Evernote app on iOS: (I have only tested this with a shared note so far) User A shares note with me. I add it to my shortcuts for easy access. Note is up-to-date and synced. Nothing fancy, just a list of items. I update note. Within seconds, User A sees the note updated (also on Evernote app for iOS 11). User A updates the note and makes sure it is synced. However, I do not see the update on my app. I refresh via All Notes list and force a "Sync Now" on My Account - nothing. In fact, both refreshing and syncing show messages that I last synced whenever I last made a change on a note, not when I actually last synced. Warning flag #1. I reinstalled the app and repeated steps 1-4 with same results. Rebooted phone with same results. The only way I can see the changes made to the shared note is if I open My Account > Support and "Clear Cache". Even then, the preview of the note on the All Notes list shows the old, outdated version of the note. We have used this shared note for many months but I've never noticed this problem until recently. We both upgraded to iOS 11 but I cannot say for sure that the problem started at that time. For this specific note, we used to use Google Docs but made the switch to Evernote because of the "checkbox" feature. However, I see no option but to use Google Docs again if Evernote will not properly sync the note. Seems like I've tried everything I can to resolve the issue but I'm open to ideas.
  3. I need to copy certain content from the web that may be volatile, i.e., the content may subsequently change or disappear entirely. When I use Web Clipper to copy a page at time 0, will it save (cache) this content in my Evernote folder, so that when I access it at time 1, it returns a valid copy of the web page as it existed at time 0 rather than as it may exist at time 1? Does it make any difference whether I have Basic or Premium Evernote subscription?
  4. Hi everyone I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if this topic has been covered before ...nothing came up in the search. I'm just doing a bit of a clean up on my iMac – OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 The Evernote cache folder is huge – 500mb. Most of it looks as if it serves a purpose, but there's a Sparkle folder containing copies of the update files – zip files and unzipped copies of the app. Are they necessary? Can I safely delete them? Can I instruct Sparkle where to put the updates in future? The screenshot shows the relevant part of the Caches folder in my user Library. Many thanks for your help. Sue
  5. Any ideas why Evernote would be using 443 MB of storage without any offline storage? That's way more than I want Evernote to be using.
  6. My computer is rapidly creating new files. Evernote is stumped. They are located in my directory: Users / Name / AppData / Local /EvernoteNW / Cache Couple examples: 9fba95c2df9385ba_0 2aa73efe64b33afb_0 Each file is 1 KB in size There are more of them every day. 1,477 files on 5/20 when Support was contacted 1,622 files on 5/23 1,905 files on 5/27 1,917 files on 5/27 after a full restoration 2,143 files on 5/31 Latest communication from Support: "We want to let you know that we are looking into this issue, we will contact you back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding." Version 5.4.0.3698 (271698) Public Does anyone have an idea what is creating these files in the EvernoteNW directory?
  7. Hi. I saved all my accounts information on my evernote, include my passwords. But some of my friend said, it is not safe. Because some of my recent notes are saved in my Phone, so that anyone who took my phone could open my files, no matter it jailbroken or not. than I've read an blog article about this, http://erik.io/blog/2014/01/03/watch-that-cache-dropbox-evernote-insufficiently-protecting-ios-6-data/ and told my friend that, 'Hey this blog said it is safe on IOS7' But he said, "It is just temporary solution, and the problem is still remained. Because the format of evernote data is 'clear data' (Im sorry but im not familiar with computer, so I didnt understand what he meant.) So 'My question is this. Is it safe my accounts information??
  8. I rely on Evernote at work to capture every thought that goes through my head. Some of these thoughts are not related to work, and some are not necessarily compliant material. I believe my cached notes are being saved in my C drive. It is a normal practice at organizations to warn employees that, for example, corporate communications such as e-mail, are not private, and every message is able to be read if necessary. I use my own Evernote account at work, as opposed as a corporate account. (Working in web development, I have some liberties as to what I can install in my work conputer.) The way Evernote is built, is there a possibility that the organization could peek into my notes or otherwise access them? Sincerely G
  9. Is there any way on the Android app to remove an individual note from the cache, as opposed to removing ALL notes from the cache. There are many times when I open a large note in the mobile app that has attached maps, pics, etc. that I may only need for a week while on a trip. I want to keep the note on my desktop and on the server so I don't want to delete it - but I don't want it permanently taking up several MB on the phone either. Clearing the entire cache is NOT an attractive alternative as I don't want to lose offline access to already downloaded notes that I do want on the phone permanently. If this is not possible currently, how does one make a feature request? Rick
