  1. It seems that Evernote is supposed to open up links in the default (chosen) browser, but on Mac, that's not the case. At least not on my computer. Is this how it supposed to be on OS X or is it just my computer and, if so, how can I fix it? SOLVED: Firefox made me think it was the default browser, but it wasn't. Now it works.
  2. When I highlight text in Chrome (Android) and share to Evernote, I want the site's URL to be automatically included, eg as the note title. Is there a way I can make this happen? If not, please include this feature in future updates.
  3. It annoys me that in the log-in menu you have to first submit your e-mail address before you can actually enter your password. My browser pre-fills both, but having to press enter twice and having to wait for the animation in between just does not feel like 2018. If there would be a direct log-in, I could access my second brain way quicker!
  4. Hi, It would be great if the evernote web interface could display PDF contents in the browser. maybe you could use something like https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/ to do it? Thanks
  5. Hello: Because my experience of using Evernote Android is that the app is too big and too slow and not practical which I also notice some reports from other Evernote users, I managed to read EV note via Android browser while integrate it with my personal GTD app(MLO, MyLifeOrgainzed in this case), it is fine for me to be able to read a note associated with a MLO task item. However, from time to time, I still need to view the note listing, but I can not figure it out how, so the question as in the thread title becomes important to me, please share some useful information to me, thanks.
  6. When I am clicking link in Evernote, an internal Evernote browser window is opened. I never understood, what the benefits to have it compare to full browser (safari or chrome). But it has disadvantages, because it doesn't support multiple tabs and you need to close it before returning to your note. In most of cases I have to wait until page is opened in Evernote browser window and then open it in Safary - useless waste of time. it also doesn't support search in file. Is it possible to add to IPad Evernote options setting to Bypass Evernote browser window (true/false)? I believe, that most of the users will be happy if by default it will be true(I.e. Open safari directly). I also suggest ( even know that you will disagree with this) to completely remove Evernote Browser window and open real browser directly. Current Browsers( Safary and Chrome) have buttons "Return to caller" and it will be sufficient for users. Do not waste your developers time to maintained the Browser window and allow them to concentrate on other functionality.
  7. I'd like to report some more weird behavior regarding from tables on my Windows 10 desktop. After any change to the number of rows or columns through right-clicking and selecting "insert/delete above/below..." the undo button simply does not work. Instead of undoing the change to the number of rows or columns, Evernote just moves the cursor to a different cell. Very weird. What's going on? Also, regarding the browser version of Evernote tables, there does not seem to be an option for deleting or adding rows or columns or resizing them. Pressing the tab key when the cursor's in the bottom right cell, though, does create a new row. Am I missing something? EDIT: Two more issues. First, Copy/Cut/Paste problems. If I select and cut or copy two cells worth of content, they cannot paste anywhere inside the table. Instead, pasting just seems to move the cursor one space to the right... like the space bar. I do seem able to copy/paste the contents of those two cells into a new, separate table, though. After attempting to paste, not much happens... and I can't undo it. CTRL+Z just does not work. Totally broken. Second, why is it not possible to select the contents of a single column? Lastly: Would it be easier if I just made a video to show all the weirdness?
  8. The search feature is not working in the Classic view in my Chrome browser. I am using a Linux Ubuntu version of Chrome, Version 56.0.2924.28 beta (64-bit). There was an update just today so there might very well be a bug in the browser. When I try to search by tag, the center column only displays a few of the tagged items, say the first ten. When I clear the filter and hit 'Search' again, nothing shows in the center column, which is set to Snippets view. I just tested it in Firefox and it is working fine, so it must be something in the Chrome beta. Any suggestions on how to attack this with Google? I'm not sure how to get them the right data.
  9. Hello evernote team. Could you please add the option to remove a reminder date from a note without removing the reminder from the note? What happens to me is that I use a saved search returning all notes that have a reminder on them. This is my "to do" list. Sometimes while viewing my "to do" list, I need to remove a date from a note but still need that note to have a reminder on it. Currently my only option is to remove the entire reminder, then go search for that note to add a new reminder that does not have a date attached to it. Also, if a date is applied to a reminder, can you please show that next to the reminder when viewing a note automatically, instead of having to click on the reminder and change date options to view the date/time? Thanks evernote! -Steven
  10. I do not use Internet Explorer, I use Chrome. Does Evernote have any settings or registration tweaks I can implement to tell it to use Chrome rather than IE to sync? If this issue has been addressed, it doesn't come up using my search criteria, so apologies if I'm being redundant here. Thanks! -Tracey
  11. Since the most recent Evernote update (both before and after iOS 8 update), sharing from the Dolphin mobile browser to EN no longer functions for me. The progress wheel grinds and grinds and grinds for 90 seconds to a full two minutes, then an error pops up saying the attempt was unsuccessful. Tried tapping the provided "Retry?" option, but same outcome each time. Doesn't matter if Evernote is open in the background or not. Dolphin has suddenly become a doorstop application for me. Safari isn't a viable alternative since it lacks tagging capabilities. Solutions anyone?
  12. I can no longer link between notes on my desktop. When I try, I click on the link and it now takes me to my browser rather than the note in my evernote app. Help! What happened! I need this for work...
  13. Hello! Please add support to popular in CIS (5% of russian users use it in july 2013) for Yandex.Browser, it's Chromium-based. If you do it, you have a huge positive carma and happy people grow! Very thanks! P.S: here is idea from russian support page - http://ru-support.evernote.com/idea/details/id/53541
  14. When does evernote produce the web clipper for the android browser because i need it so much.
  15. Hello, I think it very interesting that 'Skitch' allow screen sharing as other whiteboard applications. The options of 'Skitch' are perfect for use as a whiteboard, but the application does not allow screen sharing online in real time, so I think it would be great so be it.
  16. Hello. When selecting "Share, Copy & Open" from inside the share menu, the browser opens the landing page in three tabs at once. When selecting "Copy & Open", after the item is already shared, (as expected) one tab is launched.
  17. I am not using Evernote to store all my stuff, site bookmarks, notes, everything. However, I am still having to bookmark stuff too. Im sure this request has come across the table. I organize my notes with a single root folder, example: ministry, school, cooking.. etc.. all get tagged within the root folder Any note related to ministry: Jesus second coming, armor of God Any note related to cooking: deserts, sandwiches Any note related to school: History, syllabus I would love to have a Google Chrome extension (Mac) and a favorites replacement (Windows) to replace the existing with my Evernote notes, as my bookmarking. So my notes as a bookmarking system would like like Ministry - tag 1 - tag 2 - tag 3 and so on. The cool thing about this, a tag can fit in other root folders, so if tag2 related to both Ministry and Cooking, I would find it in both areas, not have to do 2 separate bookmarks. Love the plugin! Thanks for yalls hard work!
  18. Hi, I would really like a quick way to create a new, blank/empty note for general thoughts/ideas. Especially when I am browsing the web I might be thinking of something (or many things!) and I'd like to quickly jot those down. I read in one of these discussion posts on here about right-clicking and then choosing new note. This then loads the evernote web interface. What I would prefer is a simple one hit button in the browser (similar to, for example the Chrome Notetpad extension) where the notes are very quickly synced up to evernote. Is there something like this around? I also spotted Diigo are looking to do something with their Quick Note tool which too is along the right lines... but no dice on the sync to evernote yet cheers Baronne
  19. Hello Evernote! This is my first post, but I have been in love with Evernote since the day I downloaded it on my iPhone 6 months ago. I am a marketing director for a company with 4 locations nationwide, a sales team, telemarketing team, software developers, and designers. Trying to control the front end of the marketing campaigns along with managing the resources creating the tools on the back end was a nightmare prior to Evernote, so I truly thank your team for this awesome product. The reason for my post is I have two suggestions/requests and was wondering if anyone has a workaround. I have found the best way for me to use Evernote is through the browser. The problem is I am jumping between IE8, Safari, and Chrome all day long. My requests are below: 1. Give the user the ability to select their default font and have it tied to their account so no matter what browser is being used the font will always be Arial, Times, or even as simple as sans or sans sarif 2. For some reason IE8 doesn't offer spell check. I would go to IE9 but 70% of our customers use IE8 so I want to make sure I see exactly what they are seeing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for this awesome product, I have been spreading the word!! Thanks Ryan
  20. Hi guys and Evernote Developers, I am a proud user of Evernote for its ease of use and its many practicalities. I have also tried many (and most) other outliner programs on mac, windows and web platforms to see how Evernote matches up and how it could be improved. While Evernote still comes out on top, I find it hard for it to compete with web programs in the area of data collection. I also find it lacking in some areas where it could be drawing new users. This is why I propose that Evernote take the transition into a program which lets users create and own their own personal internets. I say this as some programs like voodoo pad which I admire, let the user create their own personal wikis with automated creation of links as you type to pages with that name. I think this should be implemented into Evernote as a cool way to structure and organise your notes, but it could go further. Evernote could be the first outliner program to fully support the creation and modification of web pages internally. That is, full support of javascript, flash and all the other things that make the web work so that when an article is clipped from the internet, it works exactly the same in Evernote (some features to block the ads would be good though). I have heard users ask this before, so why not go all the way. Evernote should not only be able to run pages natively, but browse the web as well. This would be extremely useful for data collection if you could have the internet and the outliner in the same window! Also, to go with this would have to be a large search bar up the top (of course), bookmarks (of web pages and notes), a startup page (how about the new Evernote pin-up board acting also as a web quick start page) and the ability to assign a note or web page to be your startup page, viewing history and if possible extensions or the ability to use chrome extensions of something. Also, for the developers, some tools to modify the scripts on the page (including note xml) would be useful, like the tools bar and editor at the bottom of the chrome and safari web browsers. All these features can be implemented by using code from the open source Chromium browser. To appeal to the web developers, it would be great also if Evernote was a bit more like Coda - a great and very simple web coding program. Note XML and page HTML could be opened up in a page like this in a new tab if people choose, from a button in the developer tools at the bottom. Adding the variety of different languages which Coda supports could be left to 3rd party developers. I also love the buttons at the top to switch between modes. In Evernote it could be web page, source code, outliner, markup. About the last one - markup. This is something which I think Evernote lacks as a quick note tool. Some of the tools from Skitch should be implemented right into Evernote as well as more ability to manipulate images like resize them. Some simple mind mapping tools would also be very good. A feature which has been asked for by many users before is tabs. This would become a must in a web and wiki program. My suggestion is using Opera style tabs which enable the sorting of tabs into groups which stack on top of each other then expand sideways when clicked. This could be done automatically in groups accordion to the notebooks that notes are sorted in and the web pages just as normal tabs (people can sort these into groups themselves as they browse). This image also demonstrates Opera's quick look feature. I also like that feature in IE which lets you see a layout of all your open tabs in one window (but I won't open that can of worms) One final, final feature which I suggest would be useful (even though i'm sure there are countless others) is the ability to grab a tab or page and drag it to a section on the screen to divide the page into two like your can do on the desktop on a windows computer. This would just make comparing, referring to and collecting data from things a lot simpler even on windows than resizing the whole screen. I know the was a lot to take in, and I congratulate anyone who even read it all, but that is the way I think Evernote should progress in the future. You may have a conflicting vision or an idea to improve this one. If so, I would very much like to hear it.
