  1. At times, you may be interrupted while reading long notes and will need to earmark the paragraph or line within the note so you can come back and continue reading without wasting much time trying to recall where you stopped. Is it possible to provide a feature to place a bookmark within a note? While on that idea, bookmarking the whole note as something that you were in the middle of is also a good idea. This could perhaps be achieved by providing the user with a small representative icon in the toolbar?
  2. There are some old references in the EN forums to Diigo and Evernote. Are there any recent updates for importing Diigo bookmarks into EN (and keeping them as separate, individual bookmarks)? I have tried importing bookmarks from my Chrome and Safari browsers into EN, but the import doesn't break down the bookmarks individually, as they are listed in the browsers. If they are in a lump in EN, they don't really do much good.
  3. Note Bookmarks

Hi, please enable users to add bookmarks to notes. If the note has a lot of content in it, finding the last read position when reopening the note is tedious. Adding text such as "bookmark 1" and searching for it is a feasible workaround but very clunky. When exporting the note one has to remove these elements etc etc Simple bookmark handling just as in a pdf document would add tremendous value. Thanks for considering. Regards
  4. I'd like to move all my bookmarks form Delicious to Evernote. I've exported my Delicious bookmarks to HTML. I've searched around for guides on how to import this to Evernote, but all the guides seem to be out-of-date and using features that no-longer exist. Is there still some relatively simple way for a normal user to import just under 1000 bookmarks to Evernote?
  5. Hi All, Here is a tool for converting Chrome bookmarks to Evernote. Worked well for me, let me know if any bugs and will try to fix. https://twitter.com/kjakich/status/565879393537781760 Note: for PC users, not sure about MAC. Credit: I forked this work from another chap and updated it. Enjoy! Keir
  6. A New feature request! I generally open more then one tab, sometimes 5, 10 tabs and I want to be able to "bookmark" them all at once in Evernote! Now if there a way to do this already let me know! If not, then please can we get this feature added????
  7. Hi, I wanted to organize my bookmarks with tags, and was not happy with the Chrome bookmark manager, so I decided to create a small tool to help importing bookmarks from Chrome (Netscape Bookmark format). It will parse the bookmark export, create notes with folders as tags. The output xml can be saved as an .enex file and imported to Evernote. I'm posting it here in case anyone else will find it useful. I've used simple javascript+jquery parsing functions. It is not tested much. I was inspired by @gufertum's solution (http://discussion.ev...er-to-evernote/), which however was done in perl, and it did not handle folders and dates update 2012/12/12: fixed version here http://jsfiddle.net/iwqnna/LQ2nQ/
  8. A right click on any webpage will usually bring up Evernote options including an Evernote bookmark option. All I want to do is to be able to create successive, annotated bookmarks connected to specific online pages of long texts. Sometimes (but not very often) Evernote Web Clipper permits me to add an annotation but only one annotation for an entire book. I need to be able to go through a list of bookmarks and choose to go back to a specific page of a specific text after reading my own annotation. Doesn't sound difficult. But I haven't found out how to do it on Evernote. I'm an Evernote beginner, so I may be ignorant. However, any tips and pointers would be very much appreciated.
  9. I'm new here and I know Evernote offers bookmark storage but can I set it up such that I have a parent/child/personal notes hierarchy (or tree structure)? For example: SPORTS (parent folder); Click on SPORTS and I get: ----Baseball (child folder); click on Baseball and I get: -------Atlanta Braves (grandchild folder); click on Atlanta Braves and I get: ----------Atlanta Braves Web site (great-grandchild folder) -------------My account number for tickets is 12345” (personal note) Football (child folder) Hockey (child folder) Tennis (child folder) Also, can I upload favorites from Internet Explorer or Excel or Access tables? Thank you.
  10. Greetings! I was just sending a message to my husband detailing some software I want to purchase as soon as I'm able to finally get Evernote ticked off the top of my Wishlist. (Which was finally supposed to happen...again...last week. But of course the car must have overheard me talking about so decided to spend the money for me. And then some!
  11. 1st, I wonder if Evernote is the right tool of the trade at all. Or what other apps can do this for me for free? Instapaper is almost perfect except it allows only 5 highlights a month(!!!) for free users. That will not cut it for me. I downloaded the Web Clipper and the Clearly add-ons to my browser but frankly, it is not intuitive how I should proceed. The ultimate goal is to read on mobile devices, Android and iOS, but I guess it should work first on the desktop/in the web equally. Finally, hello everyone!
  12. Hola, Tengo una cuenta en Mister-wong.es con mis favoritos que tienen todos etiquetas (tags). Me gustaría importarlos a Evernote Windows. Saludos
  13. chrome Editing a bookmark before save

Hi, I would like to use Evernote as my bookmark manager, as using Chrome has become unwieldy. However, I don't seem to be able to edit the title or notes if I use the Web Clipper to make a bookmark. Is going and editing all my notes after the fact the only way to achieve this? This seems like a fairly key feature, as without clear labels my bookmarks are likely to be as incomprehensible as ever!
  14. is there a way to convert all my notes to just whatever link the note has? so when i'm done, all notes would then be considered "bookmarks" anyone??
  15. I would like to designate a note a "favorite" or a "shortcut" in the new verison. I see the shortcuts on the left panel, but I can't figure out how to add one there. Thanks! Tim
  16. A show of hands if you don't mind. If you are a Delicious user and an Evernote Windows user please chime in. If you're really motivated, please answer the following two questions: 1. Do you have any strategies for integrating your Delicious and Evernote usage? If so, what? 2. Would you like to see an integration between the two services? For those of you out there who are curious, Delicious is a social bookmarking site, some would say the original one, that is still huge although not as much in the limelight as it used to be. Drive-by question. Did they get rid of polls from this forum or am I simply going blind? -- roschler

  18. Hi! I'm switching over to use Evernote as my bookmark manager. I have loads of bookmarks saved in Firefox (and they sync to chrome via xmarks) - but how can I import them all to Evernote, without doing it one at a time with the web clipper? Thanks!
  19. Your tagging and archiving system is crucial and here is how Evernote could greatly improve it: Evernote must implement something like this:http://handytag.elitwork.com/home.htmlhttps://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/handytag Explanation from me (and the Firefox add-on author):It makes bookmark tagging easier, by providing a complete set of most relevant keywords. These keywords are retrieved from many different sources :the tags you already gave to one of your actual bookmarks.the keywords the webmaster gave to his webpage.the tags given by del.icio.us users for the same page.the tags the keyword extractor found using KGen (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4788).and finally synonyms for the above found keywords. You no longer would need to make a brainstorming session each time you want to add a new bookmark. It will do it for you! Please forward this feature request to Evernote. If this becomes part of Evernote I will move my complete bookmarking system from a certain competitor over to Evernote and become a Premium member. I'd be happy about a short reply. Thanks!

  21. I am not using Evernote to store all my stuff, site bookmarks, notes, everything. However, I am still having to bookmark stuff too. Im sure this request has come across the table. I organize my notes with a single root folder, example: ministry, school, cooking.. etc.. all get tagged within the root folder Any note related to ministry: Jesus second coming, armor of God Any note related to cooking: deserts, sandwiches Any note related to school: History, syllabus I would love to have a Google Chrome extension (Mac) and a favorites replacement (Windows) to replace the existing with my Evernote notes, as my bookmarking. So my notes as a bookmarking system would like like Ministry - tag 1 - tag 2 - tag 3 and so on. The cool thing about this, a tag can fit in other root folders, so if tag2 related to both Ministry and Cooking, I would find it in both areas, not have to do 2 separate bookmarks. Love the plugin! Thanks for yalls hard work!
