[Feature Request] Strikethrough on formatting toolbar

Evernote is awesome! Use it all the time for collecting research, notes, organization, the world, etc. I find myself creating to-do lists for the week all the time and personally love the strikethrough feature. But, to strikethrough text I have to highlight, right-click, hover, and select strikethrough. Why not, highlight and click the strikethrough? Or even better, highlight and cmd + k or some other shortcut to strikethrough. Strikethrough vs. checkbox is the new tabs vs. spaces; strikethrough is very visible and less prone to error; checkboxes can be unchecked with a single click and not as visible. - a grateful 'spaces' fan feature request sent ps - this textbox has strikethrough!- 62 replies

With the latest update of Evernote, I'm having some formatting issues that are really affecting the way I take notes on my MacBook. Every time I try to change my text to be bold or underlined by hitting ctrl+b or ctrl+u etc, I start typing but the program immediately reverts back to its normal setting, so I don't even get a single character typed in bold. They only way I've been able to change my text is to type it out and then go back, highlight it, and change it there, which is incredibly inconvenient when I'm in the middle of class. Has anyone else had this problem? Would anyone be able to suggest a solution? I have tried quitting and re-opening the app to no avail.

I'm using Evernote (6.0.5) on a Mac (10.7.5), and when I want to type italics, bold, or underlined text I have an issue: When I type [command]+I (or B or U), the 'button' is illuminated blue, but as soon as I start typing, it clears and my text is regular. It does the same thing when I click the 'button'. The only way I'm getting it to work is to type some, select that text, click or [command]+B for bold (italics, etc), then keep typing. I can only clear it doing the same thing. i.e. if I'm typing bold text and want to stop, I have to select some text, and click the bold 'button'. Is there something I'm not doing correctly or a setting I have messed up? Thanks -
Hey everyone, I just started using Postach.io recently, and I noticed that whenever I publish notes from the desktop app, bolded items use <b> and italics use <i>. The problem is that if I'm using Bootstrap and Font Icon components, <i> is reserved for font icons. Ideally, I'd like for bolded to be <strong> and italics to be <em>, and I'm just not sure if there's a setting for that.
