  1. Hi all, I've just updated to Mac beta 6.13.1 Beta 1 (455772 Direct) and the app no longer displays any windows. The app launches, the menu bar appears, but there are no windows and most of the menus are greyed out (notably the File and Window menus). I'm kind of stuck. Anyone else seen this, or have any ideas? Thanks, S.

  3. Rod Montrose Jun 20, 08:29 PDT In some notes, when I paste (Control-V or Paste from menu), only the first line is pasted into the document. It seems to happens with notes with Hyperlinks in them. For example, I can open a text edit, enter 3 lines (see screen shots), copy the 3 lines, go to EverNote, click Paste, and only the first line is pasted. I have only seen this since the last update
  4. When I copy some text from an HTML document and click "Paste and Match Style", the style of the copied item is used NOT the format it should in EN. This just started happening after the new release. It occurs whether I use hotkeys or the mouse. It works fine when I copy within EN, just not when I copy from an external HTML doc.
  5. How can I use Evernote *BETA* for iOS(iPad and iPhone) and mac? thanks.
  6. Table bug in Beta

Hi Evernote team, I've been an auto-Beta user for some time but had to roll back to stable version due to tables not working at all. Any previously created table in notes shows up very narrow without ability to resize or delete without right-click, delete. Thanks. (Bug seen using latest Evernote Beta on macOS Sierra 10.12.4)
  7. I am using Evernote beta( Prerelease). And I have a question: between beta and public of Evernote windows, which one has fewer bugs? If it is almost same, then I wanna use beta, since I wanna try new features. Thanks.
  8. disregard - problem solved

Hello, I have Evernote for Android version 7.9.6 on be Galaxy S5, and on a Kindle Fire 7" (not HD). I also use the web client. I noticed that my nested tags appear as they should on the web and on my phone, but they are not nested on my kindle. I have waited, resynced and rebooted, but tags are still not arranged as nested on the kindle. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Hi, On the last two beta releases it seems that scanning and saving as a document is broken. The picture is fine but hitting save as a document gives you nothing but a black rectangle. Anyone else having the same issue? (Version 112 beta on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1)
  10. Make it easier to give feedback on new features. I am a beta user and love the latest feature that keeps the note title at the top when the note is scrolled but consider adding a "Like/Dislike" button somewhere to make it easier to give feedback. I am only taking the time to post this because I think it would make Evernote stronger in the market. I don't have time to search for a way to give positive feedback and I imagine others feel the same way. I love Evernote, esp. the Search features, and want it to stick around!
  11. Hi everyone, While our development team is actively anticipating any impact to the Evernote application in the macOS Sierra general release, I wanted to create an area where y'all can post any issues you are encountering in Evernote on the macOS Sierra beta version. It's possible our devs may already be aware of some of these issues, however, I think it would be a good idea to have a single thread for information gathering purposes. If you are currently using the macOS Sierra beta and have experienced any unexpected behavior in Evernote while running the beta version of macOS Sierra, please post it here. Thank you and let me know if you have any questions!
  12. Typing accents bug in 7.9.4. Beta

I use Evenote for 4 years and I'm a beta tester too. In the new version (7.9.4. Beta) when I typing with my keybord, I can't type accents with Anysoftkeyboard. I use hungarian keyboard and how this is work: when you double tap "o", it will be "ó", etc. I can use it all apps even Evernote until now. In this new version double tap means "oo", not "ó". This keyboard app work with all apps including Evernote until now. What happend?
  13. I once was on the upgrade path for En and it screwed me up badly. Since that time, I've made sure that "Enable beta features and updates" was never selected. En has just asked me to do an update, I did, now "Enable beta features and updates" is selected (not my doing). So, is En not smart enough to know that I don't even want to download betas? Shouldn't it be telling me before I upgrade that it's a beta update?

Improved: Tags View visual look and keyboard navigation. Quick Search global context handling. Fixed: Quick Search problems with diacritic characters handling. 17. Thank you all for the great feedback we received on V6 release. The team has made many improvements and fixes based on this feedback and we're excited to release another update! You can download Evernote for Windows 6.1 Beta 1 here. Here are the changes to look out for in this release: New: Quick Search (Beta) Effortlessly switch between notebooks, tags and searches. Just hit Ctrl + Q from anywhere in the app to give it a try. Get notebooks, tags, and search queries suggestions as you type. (Evernote Business) Switch to specific notebooks and tags across your Personal and Business content even faster. Improved: Tag view is back! Use this view to easily filter, edit and organize your tags. Show and edit note dates directly from the note editor. Take snapshots and insert them directly into your notes. Fixed: Some images were only shown as attachments. They are now consistently rendered inline. Audio recordings are now saved when navigating away from the note. Ink note shape recognition is now fixed. We hope you enjoy the update and look forward to your feedback!
  18. Today we’re releasing Evernote for Mac 6.6 Beta 3. Fixes - The note switcher (⌘J) has been updated to be more responsive and to provide more accurate results - Various bug and stability fixes Known issues - Autocompletion of tags in the note editor is not working. A fix for this issue will be available in the final release. Thanks for testing the Mac 6.6 Beta 3 release and please report issues you find in this forum thread. You can download the beta here or update from within the app.
  19. Today we’re releasing Evernote for Mac 6.6 Beta 1. Changes: Updated audio recording user interface. The audio recording ui has a new cleaner look which also fixes some layout issues which were present in languages other than English. Left side navigation area now visually preserves your selections. When you select a tag or a notebook in the sidebar, that item will become highlighted. Contextual menu item for the note tags area. This allows tags to be copied and pasted more easily. New menu items to duplicate a note. The 'Duplicate Note' menu item has been added to the Note menu and the note list context menu. Fixes: Checkboxes should now be visible when you print a note. We've continued to make changes which should improve sync and stability. Known issues: Switching accounts can cause Evernote to present a dialog reporting an internal database error and then exit. This is especially likely if one or both of the accounts has not been fully down-synched. The dialog is a little misleading as the app exits before any database error can occur. Playback of audio recordings on Mavericks (10.9.*) can cause a crash. We already have a fix for this issue and it should be resolved in the next beta release. Thanks for testing the Mac 6.6 Beta 1 release and please report issues you find in this forum thread. You can download the beta here or update from within the app.
  20. Today we're releasing Evernote for Mac 6.5 Release Candidate/Beta 3. There's nothing new specifically in this release but just more good stability fixes and some clean up work around Zoom and Code Bloc - menu items and toolbar button disappear when the features are turned off. You can download it from here or just wait for the upgrade notice. Please reply with any issues you find with Beta 3 in this post.
  21. Today we're releasing Evernote for Mac 6.5 Beta 2 which has a number of improvements over Beta 1. Here's a list of things to try out. This was actually in 6.5 Beta 1 but I forgot to mention it. We fixed the Tag Filter so that it now respects symbols and emoji. In other words if you type ".nb" with a period it should find ".nb". Before this wouldn't work. We fixed an issue where checkboxes weren't printing. We fixed an issue where deleting in a table cell would move the cursor and sometimes text from one cell to the previous one. We fixed the top 2 crashes from Beta 1. As always thanks for trying this out and let us know of any issues you run into. We really appreciate all of your help. Here's a link to download Beta 2. Also, here's a link to the 6.5 Beta 1 forum post so you can also read up on that release.
  22. Today we’re releasing Evernote for Mac 6.5 Beta 1. We’ve been laser focused on quality so 6.5 mostly has a bunch of under the hood stability fixes. Some of these are big changes and could actually cause more instability so please report back if you're seeing weird behavior or increased crashes. Even though we've been mostly working on stability stuff we have a few cool things we’ve added to the Mac client. 2 weeks ago Evernote held it’s first ever hackweek where everyone stopped their day-to-day work to spend a week designing, prototyping and building whatever they had a passion to work on as long as it was related to Evernote or could help Evernote customers. There were 54 separate teams and lots of really cool stuff produced. A couple of these cool things are showing up in this release. Here are some highlights of 6.5 Beta 1. Change We’ve changed the increase and decrease font size key command. It used to be CMD + "+" and CMD + “-“. We are now changing this and aligning it with MS Office and Google Docs so the new key command will be CMD+SHIFT+> and CMD+SHIFT+<. This leaves CMD +”+” and CMD + “-“ for another feature . Beta Features (Hackweek) Zoom - One of our hack week features is the ability to zoom in or out of your note content. Unfortunately it’s not quite finished yet but since so many of you have been asking for this for so long we decided to include it as a beta feature that you can turn on with the understanding that there are still a few bugs. I don’t think the issues are that bad. For example, if you Zoom in and your image reaches the width of the note it will start to shrink when you try to zoom in. Also you can’t really resize an image when zoomed in. To try it out go to Preferences -> Software Update -> Enable zoom. Code Block - Another of our hack week features is code block which lots of our software engineers wanted to have in Evernote. This basically takes any selected text and converts it to a monospaced font and creates a grey background around the line of text. This also has a few bugs. I wouldn’t recommend turning this feature on if you are an Android user because editing the note on Android will undo the code block. This works fine if you’re using the Common Editor beta version of Android but will break using the standard Android app. To try it out go to Preferences -> Software Update -> Enable code block. Bug Fixes We improved the performance of downloading a large number of tags on initial sync. We do not have a fix yet for an issue that cropped up in 6.4 where checkboxes don't print. We're still working on it. As always, thanks for testing the Mac 6.5 Beta 1 release and please report issues you find in this forum thread because I'm tracking it closely. Also let us know about your experience with Zoom and Code Block. You can download the beta here or wait for the upgrade notice to appear in the app which should happen in the next few days.
  23. First off, we’d like to thank you for being so patient while we did some construction on the Evernote Forum and Evernote Beta Groups. What’s changed? Not much has changed except for the location of our beta groups. We’ve moved the Beta Forum back under each Product's discussion page. For example, you’ll find the iOS Beta Forum directly under iOS Help: These forums will continue to house an area for you to view beta release notes, share feedback on prerelease versions of Evernote, and interact with your community of testers and Evernote employees. Public vs. Private Beta Groups While the Evernote for iOS Beta group does require an approval process, you’ll find most beta groups (Mac, Windows, Web, etc.) to be public forums. If you are having trouble accessing any beta group, make sure that you have filled our Evernote Beta Interest Form and Agreement: Thanks for your continued dedication to making Evernote better for everyone. Happy testing!
  24. We have release Evernote for Mac 6.4 Beta 1. Added new chat button to the WorkChat view. We'll be removing the new chat button from the default toolbar so this is the beginning of this transition. Changed the behavior when clearing search. We now return you to your previous note or view. Let us know if this subtle new behavior works or not. Improved search highlighting so that it highlights only words that start with the search phrase. Before we would highlight even segments within words resulting in too many things being highlighted. This does not change the behavior in the find within notes feature. Fixed an issue where Evernote didn't remember the last note you were on when restarting the app. Continued to improve stability. You can get the beta release from here. As always let us know if you find any issue in the beta. Thanks for helping the Evernote for Mac community.
  25. If all goes well, tomorrow we'll be releasing Evernote for Mac 6.3 Beta 1. Here's a link if you want to download it early. Here's what's in it. Changed key command for deleting a note from ⌫ to ⌘⌫. This matches Apple's Finder key command for deleting files. Our support team has helped a lot of people find notes that they've accidentally deleted so we hope this small change will reduce the heart attacks that this key command has caused. Added a preference to disable auto-formatting of bulleted lists and emojis. We heard loud and clear that you wanted this feature so we've added it as quickly as we could. Fixed a number of bugs: Fixed an issue where font information was lost when copying from Evernote. Improved tag auto-complete menu performance. Fixed an issue where URLs for web-clipped notes wouldn't appear. Reduced El Capitan visual and stability issues. One of the big pushes we're making over the course of the next few months is improving search. We'll be making small changes in the next few releases. In 6.3 we're testing a new interface that will allow you to change the sort order quickly. We'll first default to sorting by relevance so hopefully our search algorithms will find the note you're looking for right away but if not we'll make it a lot easier and obvious how to change the sort order so you can find the note yourself. Also this sort order won't affect the sort order of your normal notes. It will only be for search results. This is an experiment so this won't appear until next week and only some of you will see it. For those of you who do see it, please let us know what you think. As always, thanks for beta testing Evernote and contributing your findings with the entire Evernote community in this forum post. We appreciate your help and for those of you in the US...Happy Thanksgiving.
