  1. I downloaded the new WEB ui for Chromium Browser. I use it to manage my information and data through tagging. The old UI gave an easy overview and quick access to different. I have an extensive GTD working zone where I jump from project to project and keep track of my things to do. With the new WEB UI this becomes hugely impossible. Can I restore the old version please. I wrestled with it this whole morning and I am kind of fed up with it. This new UI, based on Tablets and Android.... , is very very bad . The key is "manage" your notes. Not "Enterring data". Managing notes is managing knowledge. I really really want the old thing back. M.
  2. How can I use Evernote *BETA* for iOS(iPad and iPhone) and mac? thanks.
  3. Everything is in the subject, when I edit a note on the new web beta version, the title disappear, really anoying.
  4. Hi Evernote team, I've been an auto-Beta user for some time but had to roll back to stable version due to tables not working at all. Any previously created table in notes shows up very narrow without ability to resize or delete without right-click, delete. Thanks. (Bug seen using latest Evernote Beta on macOS Sierra 10.12.4)
  5. What does it mean to be an Evernote beta tester? As a beta tester, you’ll have early access to Evernote products as they are prepared for public release. The program includes all Evernote products and devices: Evernote - Mac, Windows, Android, iPhone, and Web Evernote Business Skitch - Mac, Windows, and iPhone Penultimate Scannable Third Party Evernote API Integrations Do I have to sign the Beta Agreement? All beta testers must apply and agree to the conditions before they will be considered for participation in our private betas. Get started testing Evernote Beta by filling out our interest form and agreement: What's the difference between a private & public beta? Periodically, we will post public betas. You'll find these announcements available in our Product Feedback areas, usually pinned. Users can look to our 'Product Release' area on the main forum page for updates on public beta release notes. For our private betas, you will be required to agree and sign the Evernote Beta Agreement to gain access to the forum. 6. I am using Evernote beta( Prerelease). And I have a question: between beta and public of Evernote windows, which one has fewer bugs? If it is almost same, then I wanna use beta, since I wanna try new features. Thanks.
  7. First off, we’d like to thank you for being so patient while we did some construction on the Evernote Forum and Evernote Beta Groups. What’s changed? Not much has changed except for the location of our beta groups. We’ve moved the Beta Forum back under each Product's discussion page. For example, you’ll find the iOS Beta Forum directly under iOS Help: These forums will continue to house an area for you to view beta release notes, share feedback on prerelease versions of Evernote, and interact with your community of testers and Evernote employees. Public vs. Private Beta Groups While the Evernote for iOS Beta group does require an approval process, you’ll find most beta groups (Mac, Windows, Web, etc.) to be public forums. If you are having trouble accessing any beta group, make sure that you have filled our Evernote Beta Interest Form and Agreement: Thanks for your continued dedication to making Evernote better for everyone. Happy testing!
  8. Hi everyone, While our development team is actively anticipating any impact to the Evernote application in the macOS Sierra general release, I wanted to create an area where y'all can post any issues you are encountering in Evernote on the macOS Sierra beta version. It's possible our devs may already be aware of some of these issues, however, I think it would be a good idea to have a single thread for information gathering purposes. If you are currently using the macOS Sierra beta and have experienced any unexpected behavior in Evernote while running the beta version of macOS Sierra, please post it here. Thank you and let me know if you have any questions!

  10. Hello, I have Evernote for Android version 7.9.6 on be Galaxy S5, and on a Kindle Fire 7" (not HD). I also use the web client. I noticed that my nested tags appear as they should on the web and on my phone, but they are not nested on my kindle. I have waited, resynced and rebooted, but tags are still not arranged as nested on the kindle. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. Hej to all, in the Web Beta i miss the possibility to move or rearrange a Notebook in it´s structure from "A" to "B".... How can I do this? Or isn´t it implement at this time? Thanks for answering me... Best Rolf
  12. Hi, On the last two beta releases it seems that scanning and saving as a document is broken. The picture is fine but hitting save as a document gives you nothing but a black rectangle. Anyone else having the same issue? (Version 112 beta on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1)
  13. Make it easier to give feedback on new features. I am a beta user and love the latest feature that keeps the note title at the top when the note is scrolled but consider adding a "Like/Dislike" button somewhere to make it easier to give feedback. I am only taking the time to post this because I think it would make Evernote stronger in the market. I don't have time to search for a way to give positive feedback and I imagine others feel the same way. I love Evernote, esp. the Search features, and want it to stick around!
  14. I use Evenote for 4 years and I'm a beta tester too. In the new version (7.9.4. Beta) when I typing with my keybord, I can't type accents with Anysoftkeyboard. I use hungarian keyboard and how this is work: when you double tap "o", it will be "ó", etc. I can use it all apps even Evernote until now. In this new version double tap means "oo", not "ó". This keyboard app work with all apps including Evernote until now. What happend?
  15. Hi, I've noticed a bug persistent on Chrome in the Web Beta. Basically, just make a bulleted list. On the first line, write any text, "enter" for the second bullet, and then tab to indent that bullet. It intends properly but also tabs into the text field, when really you just want to indent the bullet not the text. It sounds trivial but happens many times per session. I've noticed this seems to not be an issue in Safari, although I've used it significantly less there. Update: actually it occurs in Safari as well. It isn't 100% reproducible there or in Chrome, but so far I've noticed it occurring after some short time typing in any note.
  16. I once was on the upgrade path for En and it screwed me up badly. Since that time, I've made sure that "Enable beta features and updates" was never selected. En has just asked me to do an update, I did, now "Enable beta features and updates" is selected (not my doing). So, is En not smart enough to know that I don't even want to download betas? Shouldn't it be telling me before I upgrade that it's a beta update?
  17. hi! evernote as a beta program or release for windows? where? Thanks!

  21. I saw that there was a new beta of the web client and was genuinely excited. I use the Web client at work everyday and would agree that an update is definitely needed. Modern web apps can do all kinds of cool stuff, and I was excited to see how much "whizzbangness" had been added to the beta. I see what you're trying to do with the focus on writing. That part looks good. Maybe a little minimal for my tastes but I get the gist. But almost everything else is concerning. And this is coming from someone who LOVES Evernote. I realize this is a beta and was totally prepared to make do with some things, but it's like 25% of the app was just completely left out. So I'll start the list of things that I would like to see. Feel free to add to the list RemindersSaved SearchesSaved Searches in Shortcuts are also gone.Nested Tags (Tag hierarchy)Maybe less white spaceMulti-select NotesSearch within the Notebook and Tag lists for fast accessA way to cancel/discard a newly created note without having to save and delete it. Notebook stacks visible from the notebook drop down menu in the note editor. Always present option to get back to the home view. Share icon design. Note list view Night mode / Color contrast options More Keyboard Shortcuts (if possible in a browser) Mouse-over on nav icons Option to toggle formatting bar so that it’s always present Note highlighting and annotation Share notes via email Ability to open multiple notes (open in new window) No resizing Delay Text at the end of the screen during note creation Text formatting requires too many clicks Reminder set ends when you click the date. Done button. While in search mode, search terms take up too much space Page breaks Pasting images from clipboard Information density Update time in Note Info Please keep in mind that this is posted with love from a user who has been here since 2008. Premium since 2009. UPDATE: I will try to keep the list up to date with suggestions and ideas from others.
  22. If you haven’t been following our beta releases, Evernote for Mac 6.2 adds better support for El Capitan by allowing for windows to be shrunk so that one can run split view. This includes shrinking the sidebar into a single column of icons and a new more responsive formatting toolbar. Also in this release, we’ve moved work chat to the bottom of the sidebar for 10.10 and above users and of course fixed a bunch of bugs. What’s new in Beta 3? We’ve made the following fixes. On launch using El Capitan the Evernote window would be hidden for some people. We think we fixed the issue so if you saw this problem in the past, please try Beta 3. Thanks to all the customers who helped us track this down. Fixed a bunch of tag issues like the ellipses don’t jump around and editing tags works better but still haven’t added a scroll bar to the drop down. We heard you loud and clear from the previous forum post and are looking into it.Fixed an issue where one wouldn’t be able to rotate an image when using El Cap. A lot of you mentioned this in the beta 2 forum so give this a try.Fixed one of the top crashing issues in the app. As always, please give us your feedback and issues. You can download the beta from here. Tomorrow morning those of you using Beta 2 should get the upgrade notice.
  23. Today we're releasing Evernote for Mac 6.5 Beta 2 which has a number of improvements over Beta 1. Here's a list of things to try out. This was actually in 6.5 Beta 1 but I forgot to mention it. We fixed the Tag Filter so that it now respects symbols and emoji. In other words if you type ".nb" with a period it should find ".nb". Before this wouldn't work. We fixed an issue where checkboxes weren't printing. We fixed an issue where deleting in a table cell would move the cursor and sometimes text from one cell to the previous one. We fixed the top 2 crashes from Beta 1. As always thanks for trying this out and let us know of any issues you run into. We really appreciate all of your help. Here's a link to download Beta 2. Also, here's a link to the 6.5 Beta 1 forum post so you can also read up on that release.
  24. Today we’re releasing Evernote for Mac 6.6 Beta 1. Changes: Updated audio recording user interface. The audio recording ui has a new cleaner look which also fixes some layout issues which were present in languages other than English. Left side navigation area now visually preserves your selections. When you select a tag or a notebook in the sidebar, that item will become highlighted. Contextual menu item for the note tags area. This allows tags to be copied and pasted more easily. New menu items to duplicate a note. The 'Duplicate Note' menu item has been added to the Note menu and the note list context menu. Fixes: Checkboxes should now be visible when you print a note. We've continued to make changes which should improve sync and stability. Known issues: Switching accounts can cause Evernote to present a dialog reporting an internal database error and then exit. This is especially likely if one or both of the accounts has not been fully down-synched. The dialog is a little misleading as the app exits before any database error can occur. Playback of audio recordings on Mavericks (10.9.*) can cause a crash. We already have a fix for this issue and it should be resolved in the next beta release. Thanks for testing the Mac 6.6 Beta 1 release and please report issues you find in this forum thread. You can download the beta here or update from within the app.
  25. Today we’re releasing Evernote for Mac 6.5 Beta 1. We’ve been laser focused on quality so 6.5 mostly has a bunch of under the hood stability fixes. Some of these are big changes and could actually cause more instability so please report back if you're seeing weird behavior or increased crashes. Even though we've been mostly working on stability stuff we have a few cool things we’ve added to the Mac client. 2 weeks ago Evernote held it’s first ever hackweek where everyone stopped their day-to-day work to spend a week designing, prototyping and building whatever they had a passion to work on as long as it was related to Evernote or could help Evernote customers. There were 54 separate teams and lots of really cool stuff produced. A couple of these cool things are showing up in this release. Here are some highlights of 6.5 Beta 1. Change We’ve changed the increase and decrease font size key command. It used to be CMD + "+" and CMD + “-“. We are now changing this and aligning it with MS Office and Google Docs so the new key command will be CMD+SHIFT+> and CMD+SHIFT+<. This leaves CMD +”+” and CMD + “-“ for another feature . Beta Features (Hackweek) Zoom - One of our hack week features is the ability to zoom in or out of your note content. Unfortunately it’s not quite finished yet but since so many of you have been asking for this for so long we decided to include it as a beta feature that you can turn on with the understanding that there are still a few bugs. I don’t think the issues are that bad. For example, if you Zoom in and your image reaches the width of the note it will start to shrink when you try to zoom in. Also you can’t really resize an image when zoomed in. To try it out go to Preferences -> Software Update -> Enable zoom. Code Block - Another of our hack week features is code block which lots of our software engineers wanted to have in Evernote. This basically takes any selected text and converts it to a monospaced font and creates a grey background around the line of text. This also has a few bugs. I wouldn’t recommend turning this feature on if you are an Android user because editing the note on Android will undo the code block. This works fine if you’re using the Common Editor beta version of Android but will break using the standard Android app. To try it out go to Preferences -> Software Update -> Enable code block. Bug Fixes We improved the performance of downloading a large number of tags on initial sync. We do not have a fix yet for an issue that cropped up in 6.4 where checkboxes don't print. We're still working on it. As always, thanks for testing the Mac 6.5 Beta 1 release and please report issues you find in this forum thread because I'm tracking it closely. Also let us know about your experience with Zoom and Code Block. You can download the beta here or wait for the upgrade notice to appear in the app which should happen in the next few days.
