    When will dev tokens return?

I just realized my automation scripts haven't been working for a while, then I saw that not only have my dev tokens been revoked, but the whole system is disabled: https://www.evernote.com/api/DeveloperToken.action What's the timeline for bringing dev tokens back? Also, can someone recommend a quick solution to generate an oauth token? This is purely a personal project, so I don't want to implement a front-end just to get a token. Thanks!

    API Auth Question

    When making a call to authorize we are getting an unexpected error. I am using the following CURL command with sample data because I do not have the sdk installed. What is this error? I have highlighted the confusing response. This is HTML for the page that is displayed that says 'Oops we encountered unexpected error' I get the same thing when i just enter the url into a browser Kellys-MacBook-Pro:~ kellygold$ curl -X GET 'https://sandbox.evernote.com/oauth?oauth_callback=http://cloud-elements.com&oauth_consumer_key={myapike}&oauth_nonce=3166905818410889691&oauth_signature=xCYjTiyz7GZiElg1uQaHGQ6I&oauth_signature_method=HMAC-SHA1&oauth_timestamp=1496264535&oauth_version=1.0' <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=9,chrome=1" /> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,initial-scale=1" /> <link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/redesign/global/css/reset.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/redesign/global/css/fonts.css" media="all" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/redesign/global/css/header.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/redesign/global/css/layout.css" /> <title>Evernote Error</title> </head> <body> <div class="header"> <div class="header-inner"> <a href="https://sandbox.evernote.com/Home.action?/" class="evernote-logo">Evernote</a></div> </div> <div id="container-boundingbox" class="wrapper"> <div id="container" class="wrapper"> <div class="main"> <div class="page-header"> <h1> Oops, we encountered an error.</h1> </div> <div> <p> Sorry, we've encountered an unexpected error.</p> </div> <div class="clear"></div> </div> </div> <div class="footer wrapper"> <a href="https://sandbox.evernote.com/Home.action?/tos/" class="footer-entry">Terms of Service</a><a href="https://sandbox.evernote.com/Home.action?/privacy/" class="footer-entry">Privacy Policy</a><span class="footer-entry last">Copyright 2017 Evernote Corporation. 3. Hello everyone, I am new to oauth with evernote, I have built an app using sample code, Now I need to do this without using scirbe or anything except Evernote-api, Please help me in find who to do that. Is this possible or not to get access token only with core evernote-api? thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, I am trying to create a blog app built on evernote that basically allows you to view any public notebook in a more 'bloggy' form. Assume I have the username of a Evernote user with 0 or more public notebooks. For example, my username is occulens. Given this username, is it possible to get a list of my public notebooks without authenticating? (assume we have username, consumerKey and consumerSecret, but nothing else) What might this code look like? (python or psuedocode is preferred)
  5. Hi, I made a project with python 2.x and Evernote SDK Python that works perfectly. With the release 3.4 I decided to start to use Python 3. So I replaced evernote sdk https://github.com/evernote/evernote-sdk-python by https://github.com/evernote/evernote-sdk-python3 But I meet an error when I try to trigger an OAuth request : ValueError: Not a valid urlencoded string This error comes from lib/python3.4/site-packages/oauthlib-0.6.1-py3.4.egg/oauthlib/common.py in urldecode, line 137 I didnt find what I have to change with the get_request_token() I did previously and worked perfectlty Here is the piece of code I made : nota : the callbackurl value is http://localhost:8000/callbackevernote/ def auth(self, request): """ let's auth the user to the Service """ client = self.get_evernote_client() callbackUrl = 'http://%s%s' % ( request.get_host(), reverse('evernote_callback')) request_token = client.get_request_token(callbackUrl) # Save the request token information for later request.session['oauth_token'] = request_token['oauth_token'] request.session['oauth_token_secret'] = request_token[ 'oauth_token_secret'] # Redirect the user to the Evernote authorization URL # return the URL string which will be used by redirect() # from the calling func return client.get_authorize_url(request_token)Thank you for your help. Regards.
  6. This is a very strange problem that I haven't been able to find any answers to on Stackoverflow or the EN forums. I have an iOS app that allows users to "share" to Evernote (amongst other services). It doesn't act like a true sync, the request is only made when the user actively presses a button to share with their Evernote profile. If the user has the Evernote iOS application installed on their device, my app fails to authenticate. However, if the user does not have the app installed (and, instead, the authentication is requested via web form within the app), authentication and creation of a new note is done just fine. Can you please help me? I'm going a little nuts over here with all of the user complaints. UPDATE: Solution found below. It was a problem with the app's openURL check, conflicting with Dropbox.

    An auth problem in PHP

I can't sign in successfully first. Still Evernote auth form and back to my callback page is working well.. but the first try is not working. and it work again if I remove sessions after fail of the auth. I don't know the reason. Summary) 1st login try is always fail, but if I try again after remove web server session, then it work well...
  8. Some questions were made when I'm developing the model of evernote API management. I copied the session save type as PHP SDK sample for connecting with evernote. The tokens exist in many types such as requestToken, accessToken. Shall I save the tokens and reconnect with evernote when the page loaded from user? I mean the page shall initialize the token in every request from users? I don't know the moderation standard. And Evernote API didn't send callback message for my service. The routine is like this: $requestTokenInfo = $this->client->getRequestToken($this->getCallbackUrl()); if ($requestTokenInfo) { $oAuthToken = array( 'requestToken' => $requestTokenInfo['oauth_token'], 'requestTokenSecret' => $requestTokenInfo['oauth_token_secret'] ); $this->session->set_userdata( $oAuthToken ); $this->getAccessToken(); } else { $this->setErrorMsg( 'Failed to obtain temporary credentials.' ); }(Always I wish you to understand my words
  9. I have a problem about change the account in iOS SDK. I use the following code to clear the account info [[EvernoteSession sharedSession] logout]; It does clear the auth info in my app. However, when I try to login with authenticateWithCompletionHandler:, the safari popup without the login ui, but a auth page instead. That does confused the user, and there is not even a logout button on the page. I'm using a sandbox account. Is that the reason?
  10. So in my iOS app I have people authenticate to Evernote. If they don't have an account I want to give them an opportunity to sign up. However, if I direct them to the Evernote Registration via Mobile Safari by clicking a button (see code example below) the Evernnote site detects iOS and automatically redirects them to the AppStore to download the Evernote App. Although I have no problem with users having the Evernote app, this is counter productive to the desired workflow of my app. Is there another way to this that actually would allow users to sign-up and come back to my app immediately afterwards? - (IBAction)evernoteSignupButton:(id)sender { NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"https://www.evernote.com/Registration.action"]; [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:url]; } -Andy
