  1. I have several audio notes in Evernote which in the list show the icon corresponding to an audio file but if I click on them the right box in the client shows an empty note. However, if I save the attachment I get the expected amr file. You can see how it looks in the attached screenshot.
  2. I like the ability to record audio and type in the same note. Is there any plan to synchronize them the same way that Notability for the iPad or the Livescribe pens work? I'd love to be able to click where I was typing and have the audio play back from that point. Thanks!
  3. Is it possible to refer to your notes, while also make a new audio note? For example, I'm sitting in class taking an audio note of a current lecture, but want to look back at a previous lecture note while not stopping the current note I am taking. If this is discussed elsewhere, please point me in that direction. Thank you.
  4. I really dig the overhaul that EN received for iOS7, however, I really miss the ability to quickly launch an audio note. With my attention span, by the time I have a new note created and manage to get the audio feature selected, my ideas (which are primarily songs) have often vanished from my mind or been interrupted by life or troubleshooting. I think the "Type a quick note" banner is done super well! I just wish I that I could customize what those quick launch buttons were (IE: choosing to have the audio note as a shortcut instead of something like "Reminder" or "Camera" which I personally rarely use EN for). Would anyone else benefit from this feature?
  5. I recorded many audio notes on Evernote using a Motorola Droid X. The files were saved as .amr Now I have an iPhone 5 and I can't play back the audio notes. There is no error message, it just pulls up the note and starts the player at the top of the screen but sits and doesn't play. Is this a problem with the .AMR file type? Is there an app I can download that will allow these to play? Can I convert them if not? Thanks
  6. I was thrilled to see that Evernote now allows you to add audio to a text note. That's a great thing for me as a journalist who does a lot of interviews. However, once the interview is done and the story is written, in many situations I want to retain the text but not the audio, which (as a .wav file) takes up much more space. But I can't figure out Evernote's file structure or where the audio notes are stored on my hard drive, therefore I don't know how to delete the audio only without deleting the whole note. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Minda
  7. I've had no trouble dictating audio notes on my iPhone 5. It works like a champ. But...I can't figure out how to make them on my laptop. Help!?! Thanks!
  8. When I want to listen to an audio recording in a note I can listen to it in the view mode. There I can change the position inside the audio with a slider and pause the playback. But in the edit view with a push an option window pops up if the recording should be removed or opened. When opened is selected the media player gets started in a new window. This doesn't allow to transcribe the recording. When I go back to EN the audio is still played, but I can not change the position or pause easily. My suggestion is to use the same representation as in the 'view' view (playback bar with slider), so that position and pause are easily possible. And with a longer push on the bar give the option to remove the recording (or instead have a delete cross on the right side of the bar).
  9. I have to say, I love HTC Notes on my Jetstream tablet (and on my rooted HTC Incredible)! I actually prefer it to the Evernote app for Android thanks mainly to these reasons... Integration with calendar allows me to link a note with a meeting. Awesome! Time stamping - I can start recording audio when my meeting starts, then when I enter a written note a time stamp is automatically set. This means that i don't have to listen to the entire recording to remember what folks were saying when i jotted down my text. Awesome! The highlight feature - I can long press some text within my note, then select "highlight" which is included in the copy/paste menu that pops up. Awesome! Typing inline... I can't stand the text editor box that opens at the bottom of the screen in the Evernote app. I'd really prefer if the Evernote Android app had these features so i could use them with any Android device. What do you think Evernote? I bet you could even do better. ;-) Here are a couple of my dream features... In addition to "highlight", The long press menu would include my other must have format options... Bullet, Checkbox, and Bold. Calendar integration on my Android would also sync up with my Outlook desktop calendar. Super Awesome! --JoshC
