Support Right to Left (RTL) direction
palinapol replied to mostafa's question in General Feature Requests
Hello there! Unfortunately there is no support in Middle east language - Hebrew,Arabic, which is a bit frustrating since the notes look a bit mess - or it require you to write English only - which sometimes not the best idea because the mother tongues are different... Middle east are usually written from right to left, so it could be great if you add this to the very coming future list of tasks- 230 replies

Support Right to Left (RTL) direction
MohamadKarbi replied to mostafa's question in General Feature Requests
I know this feature has been asked many times on this forum. I haven't found real answer though. I just want to re-emphasize its importance with the competing with OneNote. I know I can overcome this by pasting from MS Word but formatting text will be difficult to manage then.- 230 replies

Hi, Up till the last update Evernote on my Galaxy S6 Android phone worked perfectly. Ever since the update Hebrew & Arabic does not align to the right hand side of the screen anymore!!!!! This is terrible & renders the application unusable for anyone using a language written from right to left!!!!! I suspect it has to do with your new addition of enabling indentation of text but it overrides the natural (and wise) way that Android behaves when writing Hebrew or Arabic. Furthermore, now clicking the ending of a line to add more text in Hebrew/Arabic actually places the text wrongly at the beginning of the line - i.e. It's all gone crazy!!! I use Evernote to store everything & many times I write not in English - I'm a paying customer & would prefer not to look for an alternative app but this is too crucial & everyone using a right to left language will agree & won't be able to use the app even though Android does a perfect job adjusting up till this new update you did that bypasses it :((((( Please roll back & undo this HUGE(!!!!!) mistake you just did

Arabic language is largely spoken in the Middle East. All major software and applications support Arabic language. It is time for Evernote to support Arabic right to left dictation.

I am bilingual user (En/Ar). I've used Evernote's products since 2008. However, Evernote lacks Arabic support including RTL and OCR. There are about 400 millions Arabic speakers. Also Arabic letter are used by many other langages such as Urdu, Persian and Kurdish. I would like to see Arabic support in Evernote products.

It would be great if Evernote included Arabic language in the supported languages for search in documents. along with real RTL support in the PC, Mac and mobile clients

Hi all my issue with evernote is its left to right languages support for languages like Persian or Arabic. There are way to many issues, i would just point out a few: i have a persian font named "b nazanin". when i format my entire note with it, some bits are left unformatted and remain in the original font format. i have attached a picture which shows the symptom.using bullets and right alignment, the bullets remain on the left hand sidesame as above only with numberingultimately if there was a right to left writing option in addition to right alignment (like Microsoft word or other word processors), lots of mistakes would not appear, like the misalignment of numbers or symbols in text (i know this one is a bit more complex so no pressure) thank u in advance

Support Right to Left (RTL) direction
Yaser replied to mostafa's question in General Feature Requests
I am an Arabic user and I would like to see Arabic fully supported in upcoming release of Evernote. I could use Arabic for notes but It appears in LTR direction. also Evernoe couldn't recognize scanable documents and cars for the lack of Arabic letter OCR. Arabic letter is used beside Arabic by Urdu, and Persian and other languages. -
is there a way to write in a RTL format? It's impossible to use evernote when your text gets all messed up from the LTR text direction...
