  1. Quentier is a cross-platform (Linux/Windows/Mac) note taking app capable of working as Evernote client. It can also be used for local note taking, without the necessity to even have the Evernote account. Quentier supports such features as: Synchronization of user data (notebooks, notes, tags, saved searches) with Evernote Evernote search syntax can be used for data searching within the local storage Printing of notes and converting them to pdf files Ability to open several notes simultaneously in either tabbed or windowed interface Ability to switch between accounts - both local and Evernote ones Quentier is free software distributed under the terms of GNU GPLv3. A large part of core functionality was delegated to a separate library which is distributed under the terms of GNU LGPLv3. Note that the project is currently in public alpha state and is not yet intended for production usage! Some things might be unpolished while some other things might just randomly break due to some unforeseen circumstances. In order to make the app ready to fulfill the needs of casual users in near future the help of brave people prepared to meet and report bugs and inconveniences is required. So I'm seeking for volunteers willing to take part in testing, bug reporting, developing and co-maintaining this app (as well as its core library). The project has downloads with binaries for all supported platforms (AppImage for Linux) so you can take the binary and tinker with it for a bit. The user documentation is pretty much nonexistent at the moment but there's a brief overview of the app's features which should get you started. Quentier is written in C++/Qt, uses CMake build system, also uses some bits of SQLite, JavaScript and CSS. If you have development skills in these technologies and would like to dive into the project, there's an overview of the app's internals + the detailed guide to building and installing the app's dependencies as well as the guide on building the app's core library and the app itself. There are also some pre-filled issues (ditto for the core library) some of which are marked with "help wanted" and "good first issue" tags - these are intended for new developers coming to the project. In addition to help with testing and development I'd gladly accept and appreciate assistance from someone with good design skills: for one thing, better application icons are needed than what I was able to produce myself. For other things, the overall GUI appearance might need some improvements or their ideas at least. The project has a blog in which I write about various technical and non-technical stuff related to the project in one way or another.
  2. Hello there, I want to know what is the status of Evernote for Linux. I know why Evernote is not creating application for Linux. I'm using nixnote and works good but in 1-2 it downlods my notes from server and my notes is only text small size images size is less than 40mb. I want to fully functioned note taking application and I love Evernote that's why I'm finding way to use their services no doubts Evernote is best but I love Linux aswell. I don't want to compromise my security that's why I'm using Linux. In 1-2 hours 2 two notes are downloaded form Evernote server to nixnote and still waiting for third note. Everything is mess-up nothing open like we see in Evernote application for other platforms. I shift to place where internet is very bad sometimes not working so I need application for linux. I try other client but nothing is good as Evernote app as. This is my request to please do something and spotify is also available for Linux so why not Evernote. Regards
  3. Simple question, is there some switch that will let us run multiple copies of Evernote? This would be useful for filing and general mass moving of notes. Thanks
  4. Hi, I am very new or relatively new to Evernote. I would like to know if I could read my notes with other applications.
  5. Hi All, I was looking for a sample C Sharp application for integrating evernote into my application but I could not find proper documentation or any resource to start developing using evernote. can any one post here the relevant links so I could start from scratch integrating evernote into my windows app? I tried GitHub - Evernote SDK it's instructions are no longer valid I couldn't find the classes or methods that were specified in Readme.md & and also the Getting started guide as well. Please share the links if you have any other than the ones above. Thanks, Sudhir.
  6. Although the Evernote menubar Helper seems to be working correctly with the Mac app (I can save notes to my Evernote account without the actual application being open, and those notes will sync to the application when it is opened), but the synchronization doesn't seem to extend to other devices unless the Mac app is opened first. I saved some notes with the Helper, but, when I logged into my Evernote account via the iOS app (on both an iPad 2 and iPhone 4), the notes didn't appear. After I went back to my iMac and opened the Evernote application there, the notes immediately showed up on both my iOS devices. So Helper notes seem to be syncing correctly to the Mac app, but not to other Evernote clients.
  7. There should be some way to divide notebooks into chapters or sort their contents by tab because, while I use search, there are times where I have to study for tests with un specified content. I it would be nice if i could sort the notes by chapter in the notebook pane or use the tags to mark chapters which could be sorted out in the search pane. (And yes i know there are alredy tags I just want to be able to sort by tag)
