  1. Hello all, hope you are well. This idea is truly for Evernote as a whole, not particularly just for Mac, however I primarily use it on Mac so I have posted this here. It would be very useful to hide certain notes or entire notebooks from appearing in 'All Notes'. For example, I often write letters in Evernote, but once they are done, I do not wish to see them when I am browsing through unfinished projects as they are completed. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance and have a good one!
  2. Please up-vote this feature request if you agree! Thank you! Im coming from Simplenote and love the fact that all of my notes are in Plain Text by default. I'm a Web Developer by trade and can't stand Rich Text or Markup because both are awful for note taking. With Evernote, I'm able to attach images and documents to my notes which is awesome. I'm also able to organize my notes into folders (Notebooks) which isn't possible with Simplenote. Being that both of those options are so useful, I'm thinking about switching to Evernote. So far, I don't think I have the option to disable Rich Text / Markup with Evernote which is absurd. I would also like to purchase Evernote so that I can password protect my notes, but I have already spent far too much time fighting the app trying to remove the auto formatting which is beginning to drive me crazy. Taking notes in plain text is so much easier than using Rich Text / Markup in my opinion, and it seems like Evernote forces users to use Rich Text instead of giving us the choice to disable it. For example, I always use 1. 2. 3. etc. to organize my notes. With Evernote, it always indents these numbers by default and then I have to fight the app to work the way I want (I don't want these numbers indented). Is there a way to disable formatting for all documents so that all of my notes are in plain text? I have the Evernote app downloaded on my Mac and have gone thru the preferences. I can't figure it out. If this isn't possible, it's a deal breaker, and switching to Evernote simply won't work for me. Thank you for your time.
  3. On my laptop, by habit, I view my Evernote "library" as a list of titles (List View as opposed to Thumbnail View). This compact view of my notes makes it quick and efficient for me to scroll through my collection and select a note of interest. On my iPad, it appears I'm locked into an icon view. While scrolling on the iPad is quick, this view nonetheless suffers from a huge waste of screen real estate. I would prefer a simple list view (lines of text). They might be styled (as I do my web pages) with appropriate line-spacing to make them more easily "finger-selectable". But it would surely be an aid to efficiency were I not have to scroll through screens otherwise occupied by loads of grey space. Simple note title lists would be more appropriate, or at least, I'd appreciate the option to view it that way!
  4. I JUST got Evernote. I'm learning "The Secret Weapon" and I've run into an issue. Clicking on a sidebar tag switches me over to "All Notes" from my "Actions Pending" notebook. This isn't ideal, since I have a "completed" notebook as well. Which means when I click on, say, the tag for my "Polaris" project, no matter what notebook I'm in, I suddenly see current AND completed tasks. I know I can command click but it seems a reasonable bit of functionality to include out of the box so I'm here. Asking. Thanks!
  5. Hi I want to find a note I created a couple of weeks ago and unsure which folder I created it in. Is there a way of easily searching according to date order, as I've a fair idea of when it was? Thanks.
