  13. I recently got the Adonit Jot Touch Pixelpoint, which I want to use to take notes in Penultimate on my iPad Air 2 in office meetings. I want a solution that just replaces my pen and pad of paper. I want to have all my notes in Evernote, where I can tag them, pull them up anywhere, share them, etc. The problem is, this solution is as reliable for taking meeting notes today as driving a car was in 1900. All the pieces are there, but you can't just start it up and cruise. The Jot Touch seems to drop out, the writing is erratic, and the tip isn't consistently recognized at the right spot on the page. I feel like I'm a long way from being able to put my iPad on the conference table and take notes as I interact in the meeting. I'd constantly have to rewrite things, wait for the stylus to be recognized, etc. It feels like I'm working with an early prototype of a system -- a proof-of-concept that will probably evolve into something reliable in a couple of years. So what's the weak link in the system? Is it just the Bluetooth communication? If that's all it is, I'd be happy to use a wired stylus that plugs into the iPad's Lightling port. I don't see anything like that, though. Is it Penultimate's ability to read the input from the stylus? I see it's been improved greatly on the iPad Air 2, and the Jot Touch isn't any more reliable in any other note-taking app I've tried. (I still get strange behavior in portrait orientation, when the input registers to the left of where the tip is, but it works much better in landscape mode.) Or is the iPad's stylus-sensing ability just crude? I've used styluses with drawing tablets, where I can write very precisely -- but those devices aren't also the display, so the technology is probably very different. So is anyone else having better results using an iPad Air 2, Penultimate, and Jot Touch or Script to take reliable notes? Or some other combination? I'd just love for my iPad to replace the stacks of notepads I create every year at work. Thanks, Peter

  15. Good day everyone! I'm a new user of Penultimate for iPad. I'm having a rather good experience with it so far, and I find it extremely useful to have a place to write my notes in without having any paper scattered around. Penultimate is removing my need of real notebooks and post-its! However I think there is room for improvement. May I share a couple of remarks? I am a left handed with a "hook grip", and although I optioned the apt wrist rejection, more often than not it fails to detect my wrist and leaves unwanted signs over the lines I've written. It would be fantastic for Penultimate to implement a solution similar to the one INKredible has: this app makes the upper part of the sheet "undetectable", so that a "hook gripped" person like me may lay the wrist upon that zone without leaving any marks. The option of automatically panning the sheet while writing is a bless, but sometimes the panning speed is too high and forces me to stop writing to slow it down. Is there a way to regulate such speed manually or is it automatically detected on the speed of writing? It would be a great addiction to be able to move the toolbar to the bottom of the screen even when the page is zoomed in.A thinner ink option would also be appreciated! This apart, all in all I found Penultimate a great addition to my iPad, and I'm hoping it will become even better. Sorry for my possibly clumsy English: it is not my mother language.
  16. So, I got the Adonit Jot. I go to a LOT of meetings. Constantly losing paper. Notebooks are a pain to share. Gotta go and scan everything in, etc. I am looking for a clean solution to help me keep handwritten notes in Evernote. I read the reviews on Penultimate with the Jot before I bought and really didn't think that it could be that bad. Unfortunately, I was wrong. <RANT> Evernote: Penultimate with the Jot is embarrassing. Dropped letters, wrist protection that is spotty at best, very poor annotation functioning (would a highlighter have killed you?), the list goes on. However, the handwriting experience is the worst. The graphic lags, letters get dropped, and I can scarcely read my own writing. I jumped to Note Shelf -- wow, what a difference. If this had robust, automatic, Evernote sync, I wouldn't be complaining here -- I'd be using their software. However, I'd like better sync. Penultimate has that sync, but the rest is just plain awful. Not what I expect from this company... </RANT>
  17. Hi guys, I'm having problems with my jot script. If I write with my pen tilted to the right (holding it as I would a pen) the line will not be under the tip of the stylus, it only will if I hold it straight up (and if I tilt it to the left the line will be left of the tip). This makes the stylus unusable to me. Is anyone having this or is this a factory defect? (This is actually completely unrelated to penultimate, the pen will do this in any app, and yes it is connected via Bluetooth 4 with my mini in penultimate but that doesn't help) I added a photo in which you can see how far the line is from the tip when I hold the stylus like In a writing angle, drawing a vertical line.
  18. I can't wait to get my hands on the Adonit Jot Script stylus for Penultimate. Being a student, there's nothing cooler than being able to use my iPad for my notes and diagrams. However I notice Evernote doesn't support stylus input on iOS and Penultimate doesn't seem to recognize a bluetooth keyboard. Is there any way to incorporate drawings into my typed up notes while I'm in class? A small diagram might be required every now and then in the middle of my notes so it would be great to incorporate both for my lectures, Any thoughts or suggestions? Does anyone else feel like an integration feature is necessary? -Athan
  19. I would like to make a suggestion for stylus to be incorporated with Evernote please. Currently I am using Adonit Jot Pro stylus and it gives me a lot of precision which I like. The ability to write and draw with more precision as well as the advantage of using my iPad as a note book gives me a lot of flexibility. Would be great if we can sync our notes from JotStudio as well.
