  1. Hi, until the last update, I was a happy user of the widget. I had two saved searches combining tags, so I had a To-do list on my phone for work and one for personal business. After the last update and three new widgets, my workflow is ruined. There's really no way to get a widget showing the tags I want, and I don't want to reorganize my complete workflow. Anybody knows about an app that would let me do this, or can tell me if there's a suggestion page somewhere for the app developers? I was quite disappointed when I noticed that the saved searches option in the widget was gone. Cheers Joris
  2. If you expect us to use the new widgets, then at least give them the same dark theme which was available in the separate widget app. Forcing us to use the bright green widget makes any dark-themed homescreen look awful. Please carry the dark theme over to the new widgets.
  3. The upgrade was supposed to install 3 widgets, only Actions got installed. How do I get the other two now?
  4. Although the widget works fine on my iPad Air and iTouch, it has not worked for some time on my iPad 4. Usually nothing appears at all except the Evernote icon. Sometimes a blank space opens up. Occasionally the controls appear, but the buttons don't work. Today the error message "unable to load" appeared in the blank space after I rebooted the iPad. As far as memory serves—admittedly, a somewhat dodgy source—the widget worked in the past, at least intermittently. Google searches have not revealed any enlightenment thus far.

  6. A couple days ago I turned on the notification-center widget in my iOS 8 for evernote. I really like the shortcuts to add new notes. But today I realized, that you added also a section "recently viewed notes" in the widget. I'm really not interested in that part, so is there a way to deactivate this section? For me it is just a waste of space in my notification center. So please help me deactivate this section or make the user choose if he needs it or not.
  7. Weirdly this morning when i opened notification center this morning the evernote widget shifted to the right alignment, which is bad, can't seem to find a way to fix it and put it back to center alignment. Tried deleting the widget, deleting the app, restarting the phone. any fixes? here's a screen grab thanks Stefan
  8. Little horn icon remains on widget. How to remove?
  9. It would be great to have a list of my reminders for today as the notification center widget. Any plans for that?
  10. Hello, i have a problem with the Evernote Widget "Evernote-List Widget". For example: I have a Shopping-List Now i put the Widget with the Shopping-List on the Android Homescreen. Later i do changes with the PC Desktop App. I WANT that the Widget show now the SAME Shopping-List as the Desktop List. At the moment it is not :-( I can not find any Synchronisize button on the Widget. Can someone help me? Thx
  11. There is only title there. It used to be a few icons but all disappeared now. I'm running iOS 8.0.2. "Access on Lock Screen" is turned on in Control Center. Any one knows how to get those icons back? Thanks
  12. Hi, I just made the update of the Evernote app. Thx android team, good improvement of the UI, I like it. Unfortunately I have 2 widgets which display saved searches, but they don't work anymore. An other one which displays a tag works fine.
  13. Hello everyone, I think I am really fortunate to find out that I came across The Secret Weapon and Evernote. The only issue, cherry on the pie if you will is one feature I would like to have or just if you guys could help me out with directions in using other apps. Lets crack into it. I use reminders as to do list - I think they were designed to be to do items anyway since you can setup the reminder without any date. The only problem is that I have many reminders I don't currently want to act on. TODO ITEMS/REMINDERS for specific tag or date: very helpful feature would be to be able to filter reminders not just by "Being reminder" but also by tag or date - in my case it is "! 1-Now" tag or "today" date. This would save me having todos in 2 different places. I would have my todos with best note taking functionality in the world. I know you guys have a lot of feature requests, this is not probably the first one of this type (I've seen the thread and on this without actions on it). I used all most popular to do apps on android and unfortunately I couldn't find suitable, as neat as this Evernote Android Widget. I tried to use google keep, any.do etc and I don't really like the design and idea that I will have them in to different places. Anybody had the same problem or found better solution than using reminders as TODO lists? Anyway thanks for help in advance, Matt Kieblesz
  14. I am currently evaluating Evernote on Android. Much to my surprise I found no built-in Widget for the homescreen. Futhermore I found no backup option. Did I miss something? I don't want to use additional external Apps for these tasks. Evernote should have them included. Peter
  15. Hi, Would be nice to have a transparent background option at least for the "solo" widgets. Best regards
  16. Hello there, I am a very satisfied Evernote paid user who has a quite a good idea to share here, taken from my experience with the Quick Snapshot feature that comes with the Android widgets. Before anything, let me just say that this feature rocks! I'm really glad you brought it to life. Within 3 quick touches, you're done with it: one touch to start it, one touch to automatically autofocus+take the picture, one touch to save it. Brilliant. However, there is one BIG downfall with this feature: the size (resolution, quality) of these pictures can not be changed in the settings. I have a Samsung S4 (16 megapixels) and they are way too big, I believe. The main problems from this situation are: When a note is created in Evernote using this feature, it usually is around 7MB. Problem: This takes a huge chunk out of the monthly upload limit, especially if you use this feature a lot. Another problem created by this is that sometimes (very often if you are not used to this feature), the picture will not be saved properly in the note. You have to use the "rotate" function (from the right-click). Problem 1: When rotating the picture to have it shown properly, Evernote becomes totally unusable for as long as the process of turning it is completed. Problem 2: Another big problem is that it usually takes a full 12 seconds before the picture gets turned, since it's so big in size. To help you, here are some potential solutions I've been thinking about: In Android, we could add an option somewhere in the settings to specify the quality (size) of the pictures taken with the Quick Snapshot (or Snapshot) feature. In Android, there could be an icon that's shown when we're in the "picture-taking" mode with Quick Snapshot (or Snapshot). Something along the lines of "HD". Tap it, and the picture will be taken with a lower resolution. Leave it on (by default), so that the current behavior stays the same for everyone. In Evernote Windows, add a feature when we right-click on a picture to "resize" it easily so that we can save it to a lower format. Thanks in advance & looking forward to hearing from you! Super CC
  17. I love the functionality in Evernote and just recently discovered skitch (just hadn't dug that deep into functionality before) and decided I would graduate from a button launch of Evernote to a widget. When I hit the skitch button in the widget, I am brought directly to creating my own drawing from a blank page where I expected to be given the options for marking up whatever type of page/document I wanted (e.g. photo, web page, etc.). After quite a bit of trial and error, I've concluded that the widget button for skitch only allows this single option....or am I mistaken? I realize that everyone wants to streamline keystrokes and everyone has a different favorite use for apps like skitch--and that skitch is also a separate, standalone product from Evernote (perhaps too standalone to be considered integrated). But, wouldn't it make more sense to either (1) allow the button to launch skitch and allow you the options of what type of document you want to "skitch on" (like the skitch app does when launched), or (2) to provide a default document type in your widget settings under the skitch button to identify a preference rather than only allow you the option of drawing on a blank page? Perhaps this is cockpit error on my part and this is possible, but I couldn't find any way to choose anything other than a blank page after hitting the skitch button on the widget. Any ideas or comments? I searched the forums and only found a couple other postings where others were expecting or hoping to do something other than draw on a blank page as well--each with a specific page type in mind. If each seems to want to use the skitch button in the widget for something different, why not offer one of the two methods of implementation I listed above or something that offers similar (or any) flexibility?
  18. Hi, I was wondering if there existed a widget for Android (either on the home screen or lock screen) that would display all the reminders for today or the past (only unfinished). I use Evernote as part of my GTD-based system, and use reminders to indicate when I think I can get to a specific task. Having the list of current tasks visible on the home screen would make it easier to see what's up for that day, without having to go into Evernote itself. Thanks for letting me know. +Emilien
  19. I just installed the Evernote app onto my Samsung Galaxy S3, and I am looking for the widget to show the task list on my workspace. In the list of widgets, the only Evernote widget available is the Evernote Shortcut. How do I access the actually useful widgets?
  20. Is there a way to make the EN widget on Android display a specific Note? Currently, it displays all of my Notes and I can scroll through to a specific Note, though I'd like it to display just a single Note at full size of the widget. Thanks.
  21. I use saved searches to show notes from a specific notebook containing a specific tag. When I add an EN widget, and set it to show a saved search, it shows the correct notes initially, but starts showing incorrect notes after a while - notes that do not match the tag specified as part of the saved search. Both the old "grid" style widget and the new "list" widget suffer from this issue. I used to get around this by pressing the arrow buttons on the old grid style widget which would force a "refresh" and the widget would display the correct notes again. However, I learnt today that the old grid widget is going to be replaced by the new list widget which has no arrow buttons and thus can't be refreshed. This makes the widget pretty much unusable to me. This happens on both my LG Nexus 4 and my Galaxy Note 8.0.
  22. I know saved searches will show on the Android app, but is there a way to create a shortcut to these to drag to the home screen, like you could do for a note? Any workaround?
  23. This has happened a few times - partly the design of the keyboard and interface, partly big fingers, and a huge part of the way the system has been created. Trying to figure out a way around it since I've lost a few posts now. - Hit + through the widget. - Start writing new note. Life is great - yay productivity! A few sentences go by (this point is important). - Accidentally hit the home button at bottom of the screen, gently curse - Hitting the widget returns me back (I think the main Evernote widget, not the + ) - I keep writing. - Eventually I head over to my desktop to finish up the post. Make sure it's synced up, keep writing (so the post was saved to the hub / EN servers) - Time goes by. Plants are watered, trips are completed. - Time to write! - I hit the + widget to start a new note offline. The original partly (just a few sentences) completed note appears instead of at least the mostly completed version but more importantly a new note. - I try to get rid of said note. No option to. I want to have the newest version - I connect and sync. Nothing changes. My heart stops beating. - Suddenly I run to my desktop - old note has now overwritten the new note. What I think is happening is that when there's a note that's started with the widget and you exit out of it there's a backup somewhere. Then when you open it back up again it pulls that version up. Pulling that version up automatically saves it so NOW it's the newest version. Sync and screwed. If I ran to the newest version of it and opened it up before I connected online then it should have been OK, but just by having it open even though I didn't edit it dooms the newest version to overwrite hell. I wish It did version controls like Google Docs/Drive - that way at least you could roll back a version in case these sort of syncing issues happen. Looks like I'm not the only one that something like this has happened to regardless of app or platform. And Premium only helps with deleted notes - not overwrites so the same problem is possible. Conflicted versions only happen occasionally - actually haven't seen one yet in this scenario. I also don't think it's a bug - but it's not a good feature either and one that stops me from using it for everything. [Edit] Under more exploration the problem is with that "+" option in the widget. It seems to save it differently than a normal note and will always bring up the last version that wasn't closed - not a new note.
  24. Hi I recently uninstalled the Evernote Widget app, and when I went to re-install it today I got an "unknown error -24" and it failed to install. I tried uninstalling Evernote and Skitch and trying again, and restarting my phone too. Please advise how I can solve this (without factory resetting my phone). Galaxy Nexus, Android 4.1.2 Thanks Chris
  25. Hi I really could use the following widgets that show content (and I think everyone can). A single note widget (scalable) for a e.g. todo-lists. A resizeable scrollable widget that list multiple notes (widget like e.g. mail and google reader): With option for titles only, first line, all lines. With selection for notes from books or with labels. With a sort order that can be configured. And a button to change settings for that widget.
