    For use only with Evernote (also known as Evernote Legacy) versions 6.25.2.9198 (the last version before Evernote 10) and below. Completely updated 30 September 2020. The older versions of this patch only changed the note background color; this version also changes the color of the note list as well. Provided as is with no warranty of any kind; use at your own risk. For use with Evernote for Windows only. Evernote for Windows has a glaring white user interface many people find hard to use in dim rooms or at night. This procedure changes the on-screen display of the background

    I use Evernote a lot and really like it. However, in mid- to late 2012, I have begun having problems with Evernote becoming very laggy. I will click to enter text into a note, or I'll be typing along in a note, and the top bar will say "not responding". If I click, the Evernote pane goes white and there is a 5-10 second delay. Then the text I enter appears and I have access to the note. If this only happened periodically, it might be bearable. But, with Evernote 4.6.0.7670 it happens every couple of minutes and makes writing a total pain. Has anyone else had this problem, and what solved it? H
