  1. Hi, as I stated in other topic, I like using the web clipper a lot. Saves me a lot of time! But it appears it is lacking functionality. When I activate the Google Chrome extension to clip a portion of the page, I get the tooltip on the upper-left to use the arrow keys to move or expand the selection, or capture the clip. But moving with the arrows is quite impossible: it takes more than 5 seconds to jump from a portion to other and it is difficult to find the exact region you want. So it is irresponsive. It would be nice if Evernote had the same slice tool Microsoft OneNote has, to capture a rectangle on screen and port the image to the note... Thanks!
  2. I would like the option to include the originating URL with anything I clip from the browser. Today, my workaround is to clip the content, then to create a second note with just the URL, then merge the two. I'm envisioning something simple like having a checkbox in the web clipper panel with a label like "Also include URL" (see attached sketch), or including the URL could just happen automatically. oops... I'm now seeing this topic is feedback for the forum itself, not a forum for product feedback. I don't see any way to move or delete this, so I guess that's my forum feedback
  3. I have Evernote Web Clipper version 5.9.7. I love the fact that you can add tags without having to go to the desktop application when you click on the Web Clipper Extension Button on Chrome. The thing is I often use the 'Clip selection' option (highlight a part of the page, right click, 'Evernote Web Clipper' > 'Clip selection'). When I do that though, Web Clipper doesn't allow me to add tags on the go, which means I have to open the note in Evernote to add tags. It's really annoying. It'll be great to be able to add tags in Chrome, like when you clip an article or a full page. Please add a comment if you want that feature too! Thanks!
  4. Now that both Google Chrome and Yahoo Axis have web browsers for Apple iOS, will Evernote provide a web clipper for iOS? For more info, see Google puts Chrome on iPhone and iPad (update 2: it's out) The single biggest reason that EN iPad cannot be my primary EN client is that Evernote does NOT provide a web clipper for iPad that is as capable as that for EN Mac or EN Win.

  6. Sometimes I'm taking a long note (for instance, a meeting minutes) and I end up with a lot of non-related to-do's and information in this note. I need to capture the information fast and only some time after I can do some organization. If I don't splitting the long note into a lot of notes, I'll eventually creating duplicated to-do's or information which will be a pain to follow up. It would be nice and save me some time to have an option in the note editor to move the selected text to a new note and replace it with its link. This could be available on mobile clients or at least Evernote web too, since Web Clipper does not work within Evernote Web.
  7. I'm having trouble figuring out how to clip an image or diagram from a powerpoint slide or PDF. I don't see any option to web clip in the powerpoint and the only option I can seem to find for PDFs ends up sending the entire PDF to evernote instead of just one image or diagram I wanted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Hello, I've been having some issues with the Web Clipper on Safai, it seems to have worked flawlessly on my desktop but is giving me an error that states that I'm not connected to the internet... when clearly I am. I tried uninstalling it and installing a few times now and I get the same error. I've also tried adding it on as an extension on Google Chrome and it won't work on that either... Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Lori
  9. Hi, I have downloaded web clipper from I Tunes for I Pad and cannot find any instructions for how to use it. Also tried to create a new notebook, no instructions for that either. Can anybody help please Is there a FREE instruction book on using Evernote?

  11. After some research and troubleshooting, I've noticed that the latest web clipper for Safari (V5.6) is preventing Adsense ads from displaying. As an Adsense publisher myself this is an issue. Please let me know when this will be addressed and fixed. Thanks, Chris
  12. Hello.. I am not able to the web clipper for chrome or firefox to work after I have updated to Mac OSX 10.8.1. I am wondering if there is something I need to do to the security settings or if there is something I am missing. I have tried several different pages on both browsers. It looks like it is working but the clipped article will not show up. However I am able to get it to work in the latest version of safari.
  13. I use Moodle for online teaching, and after upgrading to Safari 6 (as part of my Mountain Lion upgrade) I found that I could no longer upload files to create download links for my students. I started receiving a JSON string error. To isolate the problem, I turned off half of my extensions, then the other half, etc. etc., and replicated the problem until I isolated a single extension that created the problem - and sadly, it was Evernote Web Clipper 5.6. I'm on a 2009 15" MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8. Anyone else having the same problem? Any fixes?
  14. Hi. I have a problem with Chrome 19.0.1084.52 m and Evernote Web Clipper 5.4. My operating system is Windows 7 Proffesional 32 bits. When I open Chrome for the first time, my home page doesn't load. If I stop the page load and refresh, my home page is loaded correctly. I have removed Evernote Web Clipper extension from Chrome, and this problem hasn't ocurred again. Then, the problem is the Evernote Web Clipper extension, I think. Certainly, I am connected to Internet when I open Chrome. What can I do to solve this?.
  15. I'm runing Firefix 14.0.1 and can't add web clipper by going to tools>add ons> and clicking install. I get an error message saying it can't download. I also tried downloading the file with the updated version of web clipper - the one that's in the pinned post in this forum. I click on the file, download it and then the system asks me what program to use to open the XPI file. Not having any luck at all here. Elizabeth
  16. Just installed latest version of Evernote on Mac with latest Safari. On Evernote/Web Clipper page, selecting install results in no action. Unsuccessfully tried finding it in App Store. Saw note about getting latest Evernote version. I did, but same reaction. HELP!
  17. Why is my Web Clipper in Safari 5.1.7 incredibly slow, even for clipping just the URL? Note: I suspect some conflict with my other sw. The Firefox installation of Web Clipper on the same machine works fine. Here are some config details: 15" Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo ((Early 2008, MacbookPro4,1) Mac OS X 10.7.4 "Lion" Safari 5.1.7 Web Clipper plugin just reinstalled All Apple sw updates applied Firefox 13.0.1 Web Clipper plugin just reinstallediClipboard 4.1.4 SOHO Notes 9.2.6 Evernote app Version 3.2.0 Beta 2 (300069), 138 notes, sync works fine Mike PS: BTW, I have the latest Xcode installed, so could do some debugging if that's helpful. Point me at the place to start.
  18. Firefox 13, the latest Evernote Web Clipper, www: http://droidek.pl/infinite-sky/ I use "cut the selection" in Evernote Web Clipper. I received a note with a dark background ?? http://www.evernote.com/shard/s113/sh/fbc657ab-1e57-4608-b97b-a49802efed35/bb40e517bd16749471b78fb5addd9538 Why ??
  19. If the web clipper had to be rewritten for Safari 5.1, there are two (kind of) usability or information design issues: 1. a minimum requirement for Safari version 5.1 needs to be clear before any download, let alone permitting it to be installed (and failing) on Safari < 5.1 2. there are several posts about it failing on Safari 5.0.6, but with the assertion that these users should upgrade, yet Safari 5.1 won't install on OS X 10.5.8, which many users still have, and - worse - the previous version of the web clipper that *did* work on older Safari is no longer available. I suggest: 1. make it clear on the download link that Safari 5.1 is required, and prevent installation if attempted; 2. make the previous version available for those with older versions of Safari. These two points are fairly common for other installs, so I'm a little disappointed that Evernote doesn't adopt the same practice - especially for what is such a popular and otherwise excellent service. Update: strangely, I just used the 'remember' link at the bottom left of this forum post to 'web clip' the page to evernote?? It's unformatted (no CSS) but has been added - is this the same functionality?
  20. I know how to clip notes on the web and send them to evernote but once I go to evernote, I don't see the clip. Maybe it is there but I don't know where it is or how to access it. Please help
  21. Hi, Is there other person who prefer the previous user experience concerning the web clipper ? On safari 4, the oldest version just launch the evernote app and create a new note directly inside the app. It was really more efficient, because we can access directly to all the functionality with real comfort . Add a long comment directly inside the screen capture, add images etc... Now we must do this in few boring steps : 1 - Catch my page. 2 - Try to enter keywords ( if I hit Enter when i want to add new tags by error my note is clipping etc.) 3 - Waiting for clipping ( not so long ) 4 - Open evernote 5 - Waiting for synchronization 6 - and just at this moment, i could edit and arrange my web clipping Before : 1 - Catch my page 2 - automatically open evernote app 3 - Could edit and arrange my web clipping in my usual user interface If like me you prefer the previous user experience, comment this post ;-) Hope Evernote read our suggestion and propose 2 different option for clipping : the new and the previous way. PS. I'm not an english native... Be indulgent with my writing style ;-)
  22. So, here is my issue: When I find something I want to save on the web, the Web Clipper will open and I can choose folders and tags and comments, etc. However, the "Save" button, whether "Save Article" or "Save Full Page", no longer works. I press the button, and nothing happens. Nothing is getting to my Evernote account. Also, I have confirmed that this is happens on any and all web pages. In other words, it is not because the site(s) I am attempting to clip from contain elements that are incompatible with the Evernote (e.g., Flash). Note: I have not used all of my allotted usage for the month, so it can't be that. See Attached file.
  23. It appears that the web clipper Firefox addon won't install because of compatibility issues with Firefox Nightly. As of Fx10 (possibly 11, I can't remember for certain), addon compatibility is supposed to be enabled by default due to the rapid release schedule of Firefox now. Are there known issues with Firefox Nightly, or is this something that has been overlooked? I'd really like to be able to use the web clipper addon. Thanks. Edit: This may belong in the web forum, but the description there only mentions the web based version of Evernote and not the web clipper addon. Hence why I put it here.
  24. Hi, I had a developer make me an extension that I feel competes with the current web clipper evernote provides. Essentially after downloading the extension you would just click and hold the control (ctrl) key and then click and drag your mouse over whatever you want clipped. You can also click and hold the ctrl button and double click on images to clip them. After that you can edit your clipping with a paint tool and then send it to evernote, facebook, or twitter. here's the link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/iclip/ There is a chrome extension in the works but so far it's just a firefox extension. Please tell me what you guys think and what improvements I need to make. Thanks.
  25. I like to clip articles on mt Macbook Pro and read them on my ipad later - often when I have no web access. Sometimes they are exact copies (including images) of the web page, but sometimes they are just URLs that have to be opened in Safarri. This makes Web Clipper useless to me if I am on a plane or somewhere that has no internet access. Am I missing somethimg? Why the discrepency in formats?
