  1. Hi There, I'm a new Evernote user and am loving the Mac desktop client as well as the Firefox extension. My question is this: how can I select an auto-complete suggestion in the Tags window without leaving the Tags window. For example, let's say I want to use the tag "Child Development." As soon as I start typing, the suggestion pops up and selecting it would save me same time, but if I hit return, it not only selects the tag, but clips the article, closing the entire clipper window. If I hit Tab, it auto-completes the tag, but then bumps me down to the Comments field. What key can I hit to auto-complete the suggestion BUT STAY IN THE TAGS FIELD so I can add more tags? Thanks in advance for your help! Best regards, Matt
  2. Tags that I added for use with notes disappear from list. Two other tags now how right pointing arrow next to them. What did I do?
  3. Just download 5.0 for Mac. Looks good. It would be helpful to not only see a list of all tags, but to also be able to view all tags that occur in any one notebook/subject area only. For example, I have a multitude of notebooks related to work and personal. One of my work notebooks has many many tags (I like to think of them as files). Many of the others have only 1-2 tags. When I see a list of ALL tags for ALL notebooks, in alphabetical order, I still have to look for particular tags for any notebook I want to view. Is it possible to have a drill-down from ALL TAGS -> ALL TAGS CONTAINED IN _________ NOTEBOOK? Or, when bringing up a Notebook, to see a list of all the tags in that notebook? Thank you.
  4. There should be some way to divide notebooks into chapters or sort their contents by tab because, while I use search, there are times where I have to study for tests with un specified content. I it would be nice if i could sort the notes by chapter in the notebook pane or use the tags to mark chapters which could be sorted out in the search pane. (And yes i know there are alredy tags I just want to be able to sort by tag)
  5. This has always been an issue in every version of the web clipper I have used on OSX, for both FF and Chrome, but I could never be bothered to post a report because it's quite long and difficult to explain. Let's say I have many tags, including one called 'evernote' and on called 'agile'. In the web clipper I type 'e' - because 'e' is matched in agile, the first suggestion is 'agile'. In the tag text I then have 'egile' - i.e. the letters I have typed so far are in the wrong position (always at the start of the word). If I click 'return' then the clipper doesn't replace the word with the suggestion, it goes off and clips the url with the unfinished tag. The web clipper only matches contiguos letters. So 'evernote' is matched by e, 'r' 'rnote', 'o' etc, but not by 'vrn'for example. I am not entirely sure why you bother with matching letters that are not at the beginning of a word. Either I type 'a' for 'agile' and 'e' 'ev' or 'eve' for evernote, or you allow me to type 'agl' for 'agile' and 'vrn' for evernote. Why would I want to type 'e' for 'agile'? To speak tekkie, given that the webclipper is javascript, it looks to me as if your coder has forgotten the caret to anchor the RegExp at the beginning of the string. inputField.onchange= function(){new RegExp( "^" + this.value ); //etc Although the better solution would be inputField.onchange= function(){new RegExp( this.value.split( "" ).join( ".*" ) ); //etc
