  1. Quick question about Evernote tables. When using the keyboard to navigate those tables, why do the up key and the left key BOTH move the cursor into the cell to the left? And why do BOTH the down key and the right key move the cursor to the right? Shouldn't the UP key move the cursor UP a cell? And shouldn't the DOWN key move the cursor DOWN a cell? Or am I missing something?
  2. Does anyone else feel like the formatting, tables specifically, has not gotten any better? I do a lot of tables and I'm constantly have to work get data into the tables and I spend a lot of time trying to format them. Trying Onenote and so far I'm finding it has much much better text editing and table features. I just hating going to Microsoft for any app other than Word and Excel, because I know they will ***** it up in the future (if they haven't already). Thoughts? NOTE TO EVERNOTE TEAM: FIX TABLES!
  3. I don't know what changed, but since the last update tables no longer behave in the ways they did before (which wasn't all that great to begin with). My specific issue is that files of any kind can no longer be placed inside a table cell. This is a HUGE issue for me since I used tables with file attachments heavily to organize assets for projects. Text is also virtually impossible to enter once a table with or without text in it has been pasted into Word. Please do whatever it takes to go back to the prior functionality. And please someone with authority to report bugs respond to this post.
  4. Evernote is acting very strangely with respect to font sizes in tables. This is the sequence of weirdness: I create a note with a table. I enter a bunch of text. I press "CTRL+A" to select everything in the note. I change the font size from 13 to 14. When I make a new row in the table or delete certain portions of text, the font size automatically resets to 13. Is there any way to change the font size to 14 across an entire note and then have it STAY at size 14 until/unless I specifically select a different font size? Thanks in advance for any help!

I make extensive use of tables, but since the table functionality was updated I am having problems. - with a table created before the update, sometimes trying to add a new row in the middle of the table will only add the row at the end - it appears to be no longer possible to nest a table within a table, which I used to be able to do
  6. Hello, Lately in my Mac Evernote client (6.4), I'm finding an annoying issue with text alignment in tables. I cannot, for the life of me, actually choose 'Left alignment'. Instead it goes to center and the text is centered. I can choose 'Justify' and the text is left aligned, basically. I don't understand this. Any ideas? Justin
  7. I would like to copy some small Excel spreadsheet pages into EN and have them appear in EN as a grid (with or without the lines). I have basic Evernote. Is there a way to do this?
  8. I see two different table resizing behaviors in EN: 1. EN does not attempt to squeeze all the columns onto the screen/note window, and lets them run off, and you have to scroll to the right to see them. 2. EN resizes the columns to make them fit the note window, which renders columns very difficult to read. How do I get EN to default to behavior #1?
  9. Hey all, I just noticed a problem. I am using Evernote 5.6.4.... in windows 8. I tried to create a table in a note. The table was there, but was invisible. As in no outline of the the columns and rows. I have created and used tables many times, but have never seen this. I went on the web client and created a table without a problem. After syncing, I went back to the windows client and found a table where I created it,but it also had no borders around columns and rows. I signed out of the windows client and signed back in, but that did not help. Any advice would be appreciated. Mike

  11. I am an EBCC working with a client who uses Evernote Business. After the latest update she noticed that her saved tables were totally scrambled - text changed, formatting disappeared, etc. If she tries to delete a character, sometimes the whole row disappears. This is only with the desktop version (PC) - web is fine. I realize it may or may not be tied to the update, but is anyone else having this sort of an issue? Thoughts on a fix?
  12. Hi, as stated in the subject the "List indent increase/decrease" keyboard shortcuts (TAB / TAB+SHIFT) don't work inside tables in Mac. I used them on both Mac/Windows but since I updated Mac Evernote to 6.0.10 they don't work anymore (Win version seems fine). Now when I press TAB/TAB+SHIFT the text cursor moves to the next cell of the table instead of increasing/decreasing the list indent. I hope you can sort it out. Thanks
  13. Hello ALL: I have a table in a Note... In the MAC version a TAB key in the last cell in the row will generate a new row.. Return starts a new line within the cell. MY QUESTION is: How do I force a New Line in the iOS version.. Return just puts a new line in the cell.. I want a new row in the table? Thanks Sam Baker sdbaker@gte.net

  15. Hello! I am 2 minutes new to this forum so I apologize if this question has already been addressed: Is it possible to made a grid in Evernote? I'm a college student, so I used to use the grid function to make a note of my schedule, but now I can't for some reason. There's no option to. I've just been building a grid in excel and then copying and pasting it into evernote. Am I missing something? Can I still form grids in evernote or was that ability lost in an update? Thank you very much!
  16. I am using a mac. I used to be able to cut tables out of excel spreadsheets and other data sources, then paste them into evernote. They looked fine. Sometimes the columns would narrow but I could live with that. They stayed in alignment and looked like a proper table. For the past few days each time I paste, the rows and columns are all unaligned (columns are various sizes for each row). Tables end up looking like a staircase! not square or rectangle. Why is this happening? Is it something to do with the update that was recently done? I tried to find a way to 'paste special' but there doesn't seem to be that option in Evernote. Can anyone help.
  17. After updating to Version 6.0.13 (451655 Direct) this morning, Evernote table formatting is messed up. Here is a screenshot of an Evernote table that I've always used as a template to paste in and make a new note every day. Here is a screenshot of what a new note looks like when pasting in my Evernote table after the update.
  18. I use a template for note-making that involves making lists within a table cell. Until recently, nesting lists by indenting list items was not a problem: Hit tab, list item is indented. During the last couple of weeks, this doesn't work any more: tab moves the cursor to the next table cell. Anyone else seeing this problem and/or have any ideas to fix it? Thanks.
  19. If I select all of a table from a note WITHIN Evernote and paste it into a different note WITHIN Evernote, the table's rows go from three (3) to one (1) column. This used to work - as recently as mid-April (but as late as April 29th). Any insight would be appreciated.
  20. It is a quite annoying bug. In the latest version 6.0.13, if you copy-paste a html table into notes. part of html format information would be lost. This problem did not occur on 6.0.6.

  22. EN iOS version 7.7.5 - Table vertical alignment is now set to middle aligned and not top aligned. (Mac version aligns to top). This is causing layout issues in many of our table forms developed in EN Mac, but modified remotely in EN iOS. Can you please set EN iOS table cell vertical alignment back to 'Top' ? Please see attachment for a basic table example.

    Tables

    When using tables it is not possible to use the arrow keys to move down one cell. The down arrow moves you right. This is annoying. Thanks
  24. I use lots of notebooks that have tables in them. These tables have Table Width="100%" tags in them so that the table changes width to the size of the window. Previous versions of Evernote did this just fine, but everything version 6 and newer seems to be ignoring this and setting some static width that does not change with window size.
