I searched the help syntax and the forums before posting this, found only one old topic that was somewhat similar, but it was not a feature request, so here it is: I would like to request the ability to search for all notes that contain tables. I saw the single discussion explaining that tables are just html code, etc, etc. Still can't hurt to request this, see what happens. After all, they did implement emojis. Maybe while I am at it, I should request searching for all notes containing emojis, though to be honest, I am not yet sure why I would want to know that, but surely it would be useful to someone. ? But seriously, I could definitely use a search for tables, and probably others could as well. ?

If I place a table inside my note and remove all spaces between it and a previous paragraph, then go edit that paragraph and press "Delete" while typing inside it, Evernote automatically jumps to the table and selects it. If I press Delete more than once, it deletes the table, which is extremely annoying, and makes me resort to deleting text with Backspace instead. How do I stop this from happening?
  3. Hi everyone, Just joined Evernote forums, but have been using the service for a while for business and personal. Evernote on my android tablet is a must for my day-to-day work life. However, I have one problem, I cannot edit tables (add/remove rows/columns), I can only edit text already in a table. Does anyone know if this will be an upcoming feature, or for current support for tables on android? Cheers, Zachariah
  4. Tables are a permanent thing and it will not go away because there's no option to do anything with it. You can't change the size. You can't align the text. And to make things worse, there's no way to exit the table unless you've preemptively added a new line beneath it. I have heard you need to download some add-on in order to customise the tables, but that's just not how you keep a user happy. I shouldn't have to download an add-on for something already built-in and common in all word processors. Please either convince me to keep using this application or tell me what I'm doing wrong that I should learn with Evernote. Also, can anyone share their experience with these features? If I seriously need to download an add-on, I'm not sure if I'll be sticking around any longer. Why offer a tool that isn't even fully functional? I was forced to redo an entire note because of a non-user-friendly tool.
  5. Hello, I am very frustrated as a paying user that the Windows Evernote formatting I have been using is gone! I had normal Tables to separate Names, Addresses, Dates, Etc... The layout was perfect. The table-lines were visible and on mouse-over they would turn into a thick green so I can decide to add a line or a column. Suddenly this was gone . No more lines that separate the content. The content is whithin invisible cells and I have no longer the option of adding lines and colums. The formatting has gone to sh*t. Instead of my fonttype I get -apple system- . I cant change this. Now what do I do? All I can think of, is the thedious task of doing all over again in an Excel Sheet and inserting it in the Note I used to have for doing this OR moving my business to Microsofts OneNote. OneNote has become very stable and offers much much more on the Windows, Online and App version. Maybe even Appple , not sure here. On more thing, if I use an Excel Sheet in Evernote, I wont be able to see the content until I open the spreadsheet. This is almost impossible when working on the same sheet on a Mac. Mac or Phnoe App will not allow edit any info. It used to work before. What happened? Is Evernote becoming buggy? Did some intern mess up the code?   6. I want to copy 2 lines of a table in a table of another note. It works perfect but when I open another note and then go back to the note where I have pasted the 2 lines, those are no longer there. See attached recording Copy Paste error.zip
  7. The help guide here on the site says you can customize tables' column and row widths and change cell colors, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so in the browser. It also says nested tables are not supported, but this isn't true either. Do things work differently on the actual app version of Evernote?
  8. Hello, I use many tables in my Evernote notes (Format -> Table -> Insert Table). Would be nice to have a shortcut for adding a new row or column to the table. Sometimes I have to add 10-30 new rows to existing tables and I have to repeat many times this sequence: Right Mouse Click -> Tables -> Insert row below. I know there are many options: insert row above insert row below insert column to the left insert column to the rigth Maybe some shortcut for "Repeat last action", so I will be able to add a new row below manually and next use the shortcut for repeat my last action and quickly add 30 new rows?
  9. I've just updated to 6.11.2.7027 and now all my notes with embedded tables are practically unreadable.

Have had this happen several times and its beyond frustrating... here's what happens: I'm working with a table that I've created in Evernote and have accidentally clicked and dragged cell content, thereby unintentionally deleting the content. The most frustrating aspect of this, is that when it happens, not only is the content completely deleted, but the "undo" function will not work. The "undo" function ceases to work at all until further actions are completed. Accordingly, I have had large amounts of content deleted in tables that I have worked on that are not able to be restored. Please fix this bug... also generally, the functionality of the tables in Evernote needs some serious TLC and upgrading. People use tables a lot to organize information, so it's important that this function within evernote is top notch... right now it's really unimpressive.

  12. Hello, I just want you to know that I was happy to read that you had done work on the ability of Evernote to accept tables. But you NEED to know that Evernote is seriously LACKING in handling tables. I do not use tables too often in Evernote or any other application, but it is atrocious in Evernote!! It is much easier still to create and work with tables in MS Word or Excel than Evernote. Thanks, so much. Scott
  13. If there is a text line space above a table (below the note title), how do I get rid of the line space without losing my table please? Export to HTML produces a blank 2nd page and I'd rather just have the one page for printing. See attached image.

  15. Would really like to have the same functionality for working with tables in the web version as there is one the Windows Desktop app. I work off Chromebooks and use the web version exclusively, which does not have the same level of functionality for tables. Thanks!
  16. Tables have been a great feature for Windows. Use it in all my notes. But now I am missing it to create/edit in Android. Can this be done in the near future?
  17. Would be awesome if we could add rows and columns to tables. I switched over to a Chromebook so, I'm using Evernote mobile and Evernote web. Both have the same issue. A few have suggested using google spreadsheet, or copying and pasting multiple tables, or adding a few extra rows. Some of these work, but have it's limitations. For example, if you run out of extra rows. Or if you have a chromebook, you can't use any of the workarounds without a computer without the use of google spreadsheets. Screenshot example attached.
  18. It would be very useful to be able to sort table columns, ascending or descending. Unless it already is a hidden feature within Evernote!
  19. Would be great to be able to move complete tables to different location on the page. See attached for example. Be able to move table C to appear just below table A or place it alongside table A.
  20. In prior versions, I used to copy a range of cells from Excel into a blank note, and then somehow encrypt it with a password. Now when I copy the range of sales, they get pasted into the note as a table, and I cannot encrypt the table. This was a super useful feature to secure notes within a notebook. I no longer can do this in Evernote, have to use another platform. Not happy.
  21. I've noticed that I can't put a code block or table under a bullet points. Is this intentional or is it some kind of bug? I'm running Evernote under Windows 10.
  22. I updated Evernote this morning. Then I went to format a table -- specifically, to change its line color. I right-clicked to go to "Table properties"...and that option was no longer there . I'm *hoping* that this means it has been moved somewhere (as opposed to an "update" having removed features), but I'm damned if I can find it. Does anybody know where to look? Thank you.

The new tables and layouts in Evernote are great, but I have been using tables in my notes for a long time and one of the greatest features I thought Evernote had was that the table (more specifically the column width) would dynamically change to the width of the device I was using. This made it so much simpler to add content, change things while on the go on my phone and then re-adjust and gauge everything as I switched between devices. The new column and table features are really great, but if we could have the dynamic column widths back it would be much appreciated!
  24. NOTE: I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I upgraded to v. 6.12.2 since I downloaded/bought Evernote in the Apple App store. I have a note with a table made of several rows and three columns (across). But when I print it out on a letter size (8.5x11) sheet of paper, it only prints TWO COLUMS. I have not tried printing in landscape, only portrait. And the groupings of tables will not "fit together" like I had them previously. Thank you for any assistance given.
  25. Starting with v6.12, the redesigned table controls are constantly in the way, leave a ridiculous amount of white space around every table, and are way, way too easy to accidentally activate. For users who don't want to change the layout of their tables frequently, and in fact, just want to make a table once and leave it alone, please make this feature an option that can be turned off in the Formatting preferences. I have one template that I duplicate every day for a diary. It includes some tables. I will never change the layout of these tables, so having these tools pop up all the time really gets in the way of my work flow. Plus, before this feature was added, everything on my template fit "above the fold" (i.e., could be seen without scrolling). Now, thanks to all the extra white space around every table, that's no longer true. I can understand how many users might find this feature useful. The problem is, this update ignores everyone else.
