  1. Hi all, I have a folder with 4 subfolders set up for automated importing files on my second drive (D). Since these 4 subfolders also have subfolders, I created four rules to get these folders including their subfolders imported correctly. This always worked. Since some time now, don't know how long, I noticed that every file I add to the import folders (the subfolders, not the main one, since there is no urle for that one) get imported and one or two seconds later the file gets imported again. So each file shows up twice in my inbox. I deleted the rules and created them again, but the problem persists. My folder setup is like this: - main folder -- sub 1 --- subsub 1 --- subsub 2 --- subsub etcetera -- sub 2 -- sub 3 -- sub 4 And my rules import sub 1 to 4 separately, including their subfolders. The files keep located on my drive. Hope anyone can shed some light on this. Version installed: 6.9.7.6770 (306770) Public (CE Build ce-1.39.4387) Thanks in advance! Robin
  2. Hi there, I think Evernote is a great program, however there are two annoyances that (in my mind) keep Evernote from being great: 1) Creating of sub notes does not follow the standard paradigm Creating a subfolder is not easy... I get it - Evernote doesn't have folders, they have stacks... but sub categorizing things is important to me - so to do this I need to follow a work around: I) Create a temporary note II) Right click and choose "Add to stack" III) Choose new Stack IV) find the stack and rename it to a folder name that makes sense to you V) now delete the temp note VI) Start dragging new notes into the stack (folder) I find this a weird workaround. I rather just be able to right click a note and select "create note in", then have this subnote be the new folder. That would be just one step, instead of 6 Anyways Evernote team, other than this, I really like your product... cheers
  3. I am fairly new to Evernote and I have watched videos on HOW TO use Evernote and it have seen what appears to be subfolders/notebooks. I have tried to make a subfolder of a Notebook but Evernote just makes a new Notebook and not a sub Notebook/folder. If I want to have a main folder such as Home Repairs then have subfolders say expenses, labor, etc. How do I make one of these sub folders of the main folder?
  4. Good day all, First off, let me say that there is a lot that I like about Evernote. It has a nice interface, it's easy to use, and syncs extremely well. I sync Evernote on 4 devices and it has only had a few syncing issues, and most of the time when a sync issue comes up, I can see the Conflicting Changes that have occurred. However, I do have 2 gripes with the application so far. I just signed up for Evernote Premium. I'm interested in trying out the premium features, but really liked the idea of having multiple notebooks. I wanted to create multiple notebooks so I didn't clog up 1 account. Let me start with my first gripe. My first gripe is that I think you should be able to create an endless amount of sub-folders or stacks in Evernote. I can't begin to tell you how many times I wish I could separate something out into several different sub-stacks. I really wish Evernote had this option. Secondly, I find that switching between different user accounts to access other notebooks is rather simple. But, it only shows the last notebook you accessed. I want to be able to see all of the notebooks I have synced up to all of my different email accounts. I don't even necessarily think that one should need a separate email address to make a separate notebook in Evernote, but alas, I'll work with it. There are many different facets to my life that are unrelated to one another. I think these different facets would be organized best by having separate notebooks that I can access. I really wish I could just select File at the top of the menu, and see a list of all of the Evernote notebooks I have. Can't this data be cached on the local PC and store all email accounts that have logged into Evernote from that PC? I don't want to sound like I'm bashing, because I'm not. I really like Evernote. I just wanted to point out some of the frustrations that I've encountered and wanted to express them on this forum with the hopes that it will spur some change or at least, start a discussion pointing out the logistics and flaws of my frustrations. I'd appreciate any feedback. Sincerely, Speck
  5. I'm writing this because I'm really amazed how much you don't care about what evernote users report or what they would like to do to help you earn even more money. Let me just bring two most frustrating things that you've been indifferent about since evernote's first release: 1) Subfolders (like half of the users raise this and you just say that it has been discussed thousand times on the board's meetings... AND?) 2) Buying premium version without credit card (not possible even with paypal.... Really? I mean REALLY?! In the XXIst century? Just find a work-around and please don't tell me its because of paypal internal rules because its pathetic)... How is this possible in a company which existence really depends on satisfying at least basic needs of its customers? I know you don't care. For now.
