  1. Hi! My understanding is there should be a way to use Evernote to read text back in a computer voice (so I can hear what I have written). However, I cannot for the life of me find it, and I have been looking. I can get my Windows PC to take dictation, no problem, except that is the exact opposite of what I am looking for and it's got nothing to do with Evernote, anyway. So, thoughts? Or at least sympathy? Many thanks, in advance.
  2. Sorry if this has been addressed elswhere. I want to record an audio note while offline. Then, later, when i sync, i would like the audio to be processed into text. Right now, the speech to text engne requires a data connection. I cant always be connected. Im using android. Free version, not sure if that matters.. Thanks!
  3. Possibly applies elsewhere also but on my Android Phone when I create a text to speech note it generally does a a reasonable job of it but some of it can be quite cryptic. I probably haven't got time to fix it up then and there, it would be nice if the audio note was attached, allowing me to review it and delete it myself once happy. I could do an audio note but there is no text to speech afterwards?
  4. Hello Evernote Developers! I'm part of faberNovel's team working on an upcoming event for AT&T. Our event is called DevLab and its going to be held in the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. We'll be showcasing AT&T's new Speech-to-text technology API - AT&T Speech. Their new API brings speech recognition to your app platform. Evernote is the best note management platform out there, and we’d love to see developers build speech to text on top of it. AT&T's Speech-to-text technology makes a lot of sense for this mashup: - It is cross-carrier - Native and HTML5 based SDKs are under development, meaning that it will be a cross-device technology - It uses different speech contexts in order to improve the accuracy of the speech recognition (Web Search, Business, Voicemail, SMS, Q&A, TV, Generic) - We are also developing basic example apps which anybody will be able to use as a boilerplate app to hook up to Evernote's API. We are very excited about the opportunity to mashup Speech-to-text technology with smart apps such as Evernote, we hope you feel the same way! We’d love to hear new ideas on how this Speech API could be used with Evernote. Thank you in advance. -Dom
