  1. Hi, I am a big fan of evernote iphone app, but with recently version releases my iphone 4 struggles to work with Evernote. It takes about 20 seconds to open a note, then it crashes (I suppose due to sync'ing work in the background). Is any one else having this trouble. Any solutions? Unfortunately Evernote on iphone is un-usable with this performance issue. Chris
  2. Ok, again from the German side a question. The problem came up that someone uses just one Notebook as the temp notebook he saves everything in and than when he has time, he moves it to the other notebooks. He stated that it takes a really long time to get the data out of this notebook, with reall waiting time involved and he was wondering if there is anything he can do to speed it up. He would ask customer support, but he doesn't speak English, so I would need help here. He tried to reindex it but it didn't change anything.
  3. Not a major issue, but since upgrading to OS X Mavericks (from 10.8) I've noticed it takes several seconds longer for Evernote to launch. Not sure if that's because of the new power saving features in the OS (timer coalescing and App Nap and whatnot) or what. System specs: MacBook Pro with Retina, 2.7GHz i7, 16GB RAM, SSD. Anyone else experiencing the same thing...? Update: Just found that if you hit COMMAND+I while selecting the Evernote icon in Finder, the pop-up box has an option allowing you to "Prevent App Nap." I checked that box and sure enough Evernote started up faster. Not sure if this is coincidence (since Evernote might have been cached and thus launched faster) or what...
  4. I love the idea of Evernote, features.... but it find it slow. In the same time, i add notes, it does slower and time. With lots of notes, it need much powerful computer. And we can forgot the use with iphone and ipad.
  5. Opening Evernote on my 3rd gen iPad and clicking on a note that I have favorited takes about 25 seconds, from there, I tap the screen to add info to this existing note but it takes about 10-20 more seconds (screen moves up and down/zooms) until I can get into the editing screen to add some words. Is this normal for an ipad? Currently I have about 4100 notes and most are less than a page of text with no formatting. I hardly have any pics and no files saved to Evernote. I do get a synchronization error on a file that I have sent to the trash on the ipad, could this be the cause? Thanks
  6. Version 5.4.1 (402013) Mac Since the most recent update, I've been suffering painfully long sync (processing) times for notes that contain PDFs. Heaven forbid I merge notes that contain PDFs.... Tried that a couple of days ago, and it took 10? 15? minutes for the merge to complete. During that time, I'm stuck--can't touch the merging notes since doing so creates conflict copies. Any hint as to what's causing the problem (and how to fix it)?
  7. Since installing Web Clipper for mac, my mac is as slow as a snail. How do I uninstall Web Clipper? How do I uninstall Evernote?
  8. Input into one of my notes has become really slow on my phone. Used to work fine. And isn't a problem for any of my other notes. I'm wondering if problem is a recent Evernote update? Have tried uninstall and reinstall - no difference. Also tried different keyboards for input - Samsung and Swype Beta - no difference. Input on my computer has not slowed down at all. Anyone else? Any ideas? Samsung Galaxy S3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Evernote reinstalled updated current to Sept 4, 2012
  9. I am using Evernote 5 on Mac. My Evernote experience has become increasingly slow. I am adding more and more PDFs to my account in order to reduce the paper in my life. Right now I am just using a scanner app on my iphone. Most of the PDFs I generate are 2-7 megabytes. I am worried about my Evernote experience getting even slower if I stay my course. Do you guys have any recommendations for me? I want to put everything in Evernote, but I DON't want to have everything in and find out that it has become too slow to even use. I am aware that there are similar threads. I would like this one to cast an eye to the future: Do you see changes coming in the way Evernote is going to handle big databases? Or would I be better off putting my digital self in another service? Creating a separate Evernote account? Thanks for your help
  10. I just recently started using Evernote and I installed the webclipper for Firefox, I have the latest 16.0.2. From the beginning it was very slow, click on the icon and wait 5-10 seconds for the dialog to appear to login or enter tags, then another 5-10 seconds after clicking on clip for it to give me the pop-up message at the bottom about editing it. I lived with the slowness for a bit and made some clips but now after a few days it has started behaving even worse, causing a "A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding ..." message. If I click continue, eventually the dialog box where you enter the tags goes away but no clip is made or saved. Configuration: Firefox Latest 16.0.2 Web Clipper latest 5.4 Evernote for the web, no local client installed Windows XP Machine More info, appears to only be completely unresponsive on some websites, continues to be slow on others. I can reliably reproduce the script error by going to the website below and trying to clip the article even after I re-start Firefox and that is the only page loaded. http://blogs.atlassian.com/2012/02/mercurial-vs-git-why-mercurial/
