  1. Heads up - was having issues sharing public links with people who did not have Evernote. Was on a tech support session yesterday and was told it is a #KnownIssue and iOSx public sharing is broken. The workaround is to use Mac app or web browser to share all public links. After a bit of quick testing on my end, it seems broken from trying to share a public link FROM MY iOS device shares a dead/unresponsive link that recipient cannot open if not using Evernote app if the recipient has Evernote app - tries to launch the app (not a browser) and put you in an in
2. the option to share via messages or mac mail has disappeared from my skitch sharing options. how do I get them back?
  3. I have been looking around for this, but I have not found the info I want. I have been using Evernote quite extensively and I just changed jobs from consulting to a job with a single company. I use Evernote to track everything in my life from work stuff, to a second business to personal data. I can image life without it. Until recently I have been consulting with several companies and I have separate notebooks for many of the things I did for them. I want to use Evernote in my new full time job, but I do not want my personal notebooks and my past client notebooks to sync to my new compan
  4. So you can see in attached images that there is just no option to share the notebook (except for via a link). I am trying to share it so that they also have the notebook in their EN. Thanks for any advice!
  5. I am a recent evernote beginner due to my part time job as a personal assistant. My boss has been sharing notebooks with me which up until this point has been very easy and accessible. In our most recent share exchange he shared a notebook with an microsoft excel attachment. He has a macbook and I have a dell pc. I am easily able to access the note and open the excel attachment. Upon opening, I open and after disabling the feature that says enable editing I am able to freely edit within the document. He says that his old assistant (another mac user) was able to edit click save and those c
  6. Hi all I've had a quick search of the forum but wasn't able to find what I needed. I am an Evernote Plus member. I have created a Notebook that contains various notes, all catalogued by a series of tags. I've just shared the Notebook with my supervisor but she's not able to sort the individual notes by the tags, which was the whole point of doing it this way. Is there a workaround for this or have I wasted a colossal amount of time? At the moment I've given her my login details so that she can see all of the tags but this is obviously not an ideal situation. Thanks Sione
  7. A Windows user shared a notebook with me. I can access the notebook in Evernote, but when I try to move one of my notes into it, I get a message that "only tags that are already in this notebook will be added to this note". I click "OK" and … nothing happens. The note stays where it is. Syncing doesn't help. Evernote Mac 6.13.1, macOS 10.13.1
  8. Hi A mate of mine has shared a note with me. He often sends me notes to look at and add to. But there is no way I could find to add those notes to my notebook. Sometimes I would like to search for them and so they need to be in my notebook. Any help if much appreciated. M
  9. I remember seeing one of templates on the evernote website as a presentation. I need to send my client information on a note but I'd love for them to see it as a presentation.
  10. Each time I try to share a note, Evernote asks 'is your email address still XX@XX.com?' then sends me a verification email. I got through the verification process each time but still can't share a note. Anyone out there got tips on this?
  11. I noticed a long discussion about the fact that only the notebook owner can create tags for shared notebooks. The issue I'm describing here has nothing to see with this. I have noticed that if I share a notebook, which contains certain tags, with another user, everything gets nicely synchronised. But, if I as owner add new tags to the notebook, after having it shared, those new tags do not synchronise to the shared users. The only way for the shared users to get the new tags, is to delete the shared notebook and to re-add it from the work chat, only then all tags get again synchronised, t
  12. Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this. I have a basic account and I started some notebooks years ago to share with my colleagues. (a very small organization). I am now leaving this organization and would like to disconnect from those notebooks that are still used by my colleagues, but I am the owner of those notebooks. Can I delete them, or will they disappear for everyone? And how could I make someone else the owner, so they can kick me out of the notebooks? Many thanks!
  13. The following covers the various ways to share your notes from within Evernote. Work Chat The best way to share your notes is to use the new Work Chat feature. Don’t think of Work Chat as another chat client. We didn’t design it to replace other chat apps. Work Chat's focus is to allow you to quickly and easily discuss and share Evernote notes and notebooks. If you’re viewing a note you want to share, just click the Share button to pop-up a Work Chat window. In the Work Chat address field, type in the email addresses of the people you want to share with. Next to the note you can set pe
  14. My team and I are just beginning to coordinate our work on EN. We've moved over from Google Docs and I'm not sure how similar the system is. I've poked around the documentation on the site but came up empty on some things. A few questions: When my coworker and I (both on Mac Airs, up to date with Sierra and the latest EN version) were both logged in and on Work Chat, I created a new note in our shared notebook. Should she have seen that in progress as I was creating and writing in it, or is there a Save feature that effectively publishes it for her eyes? In Google Docs, for example,
  15. I'm using Evernote Version 6.11.1 (455061 App Store) on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.11.6. I have been trying to Share an email from Evernote, without any luck whatsoever. The note is one page, with a simple table that contains two columns, one jpeg in the left column, and some text (less than a page) in the right column. Every time I try, the app hangs and I have to Force Quit. Any suggestions about how to fix the problem? Addresses: to — only 2. Do you need them? Size: jpeg is 1.5MB.
  16. I've grudgingly accepted that Google Calendar is the only way for our team to keep track of what we're scheduling when. Oh, how I wish there were a full-function EN calendar! Whining aside: I understand that when I create events or reminders in EN, it will sync with the gcal. But I have private notebooks as well as shared notebooks in my EN. I want only the events/reminders from my few shared notebooks to show up in the team calendar. I've poked around looking to set that restriction, but haven't found it. Is it possible? Thanks!
  17. I have used Evernote for a few years as portfolios and for giving feedback. I have two 'Plus' accounts as I have set up a notebook for each of my 300+ students. These are shared with them individually via email address. This works fine for them to send work to me, and me to give individual feedback. It doesn't however work as well if i want to get the same information in form of a note to a whole class or year group, as I have to 'copy to notebook' for each individual student - up to 90 of them. I collect my notebooks into stacks for each class and would love to be able to copy
  18. I've tried sending a note with couple of pictures to myself, but evernote, instead sent to a number of recepients (about 20-30) from my contact list. I definitely didn't choose anyone from that list to share this information with. And I just didn't have time to do that. That was quite embarrassing experience and up until now I don't understand 1) how this happened 2) what is the logic how evernote chose whom to send the note to. If you could help me clarify that would be great. Otherwise I'm just afraid to use evernote further more. Also, if someone from that list wouldn't have told me th
  19. Because I'm german I use the Google Translator also for this forum. When I activate it, it translate but it shows on every post a translation of the Pinterest share-function so I can't read the post. But look at the Screenshot. Do you know how I can read the posts without this "Translations of the Pinterest share-function"? I googled it, but I can find nothing. Maybe someone here knows? Thanks for Your help and please excuse my writing errors and so on.
  20. Link in a note emailed from Evernote on iPad appears bold. Try yourself: Make a note that includes a link. Go to sharing button and select Mail. Send it to yourself and you will see. Please fix.
  21. I'm thinking of sharing a notebook with my teacher that will contain all school notes I take for that subject. I have a few questions/concerns with it. I'm making the notebook public as the teacher doesn't have EN, and I'll share the link with them. I'm wondering if you can print direct from an Evernote public notebook, and if you can order it in latest updated note. Thank you!
  22. How can I setup my notebook or notes to be automatically shared with someone? I do not want to set the permissions each time & have to share the notes via the Work Chat. I want to be able to create a note & she'll automatically see it when she logs in. I have a friend that has hers setup this way & I can see her stuff every time she adds a new note without her sending it to me. She is having trouble communicating to me how hers is setup. Thanks, Trish
  23. Hi, A few weeks ago I decided to introduce Evernote to my team of developers. We decided to create an Evernote account each to share interesting articles and information we find on the internet. We created 3 sharing folders with the team, but we found out that Evernote is (most of the time) not working with Safari. Some colleagues can't place articles in the sharing folders straight from the internet with the web clipper. They simply can't select the sharing folder or add tags (see print screen) to their articles they want to store in those folders. My question is how to fix th
  24. I have tried from both my iPad and Safari web browser to send a note to 3 different email addresses. None are going through. Is anyone else having this problem. I am also unable to copy and paste the contents of that note from Evernote into Word. What happened to the easiest note taking product on the market??? I am an experienced Evernote user, have proficiency on Mac OS, Windows, iOS, and a wide variety of desktop and web-based applications. Any and all feedback is appreciated . . . getting ready to leave Evernote for good, just not the same any more! Why would I even consid
  25. Dear all, I want to share one of my pdf document using a link. I want to know if who visits the link could see the date of the last modification of the paper, and if that date is shown forever. Moreover I want to be sure that they cannot modify that. Thus, sharing a note with a link, I want to know if: can people, visiting the link, see the note date of the last update? is the date of modification shown forever? is sure that no one can modify the note? Thanks
