  1. Hi all, We released Scannable for iOS 2.1.1 earlier today. Notable fixes and improvements: Scans misclassified as business cards can now be reclassified as documents without signing in to Evernote Users can sign into LinkedIn again Whiteboard captures with mixed orientations (portrait and landscape) are now saved properly as PDFs Reduced crashes You can download the Evernote Scannable app from the App Store. As always, please let us know what you think. Cheers!
  2. I added the scannable app to my iPad and iPhone but it won't complete installation on my iPhone. I cannot open it, delete it or update it. How do I get it off my phone??
  3. Is there a way to manually assign a document as a business card? It's extremely annoying when you're going through your scanning process and Scannable won't recognize the scan as a business card. Thanks!
  4. I have an updated iphone6. I am trying to delete Scannable which is frozen in the updating phase. How do I delete it?
  5. Hello everybody I have had pretty good success with using scannable so far but I noticed one thing. Sometimes whiteboard-scans (pdf) are being turned into "normal pictures" and sometimes they are "vectorized". Does somebody know what criteria the app uses to define whether or not it vectorizes the picture/pdf? Thanks for your help.
  6. Hi - any plans in the works to add native faxing ability to Scannable? (as opposed to exporting to a third party) I know "faxing" sounds a bit old tech, but unfortunately in many instances it's the only option. Would love to scan and immediately fax something @ like 0.10/page or something. Thanks
  7. I often receive pics of documents poorly 'scanned' with other apps or just photographed. Would be great if Scannable coild do its magic on these too. PS. Yes, I always tell the senders to switch to Scannable and usually they do
  8. Hey you people at Evernote, I found the app "Evernote Scanner" with an icon that looks just like the Scannable icon, you might want to look into this. Total rip-off, and the developer site is for sale. I thought Apple has a review process??
  9. Hey Evernote Team, When I Send a scanned PDF from Scannable on my iPad. The app is sending from my Hotmail account, not Gmail. Is there a way to send from gmail account? Adam
  10. If you attach a scanned document to a note, it is very ease to delete. With just a single move on the backspace button, you can delete an entire scanned file with lots of information or documents. How can this be avoided?
  11. How do you delete photos of documents taken using the scannable app on an iPhone?
  12. I have had difficulty with my Evernote scanner. Received only referrals to support pages from Evernote. Still not working. Received Premium with scanner--logged in the code and Premium account is not recognized. Evernote could be improved by live customer service support.
  13. I scan images through scannable (approximately 10 pages) as a pdf and email them to myself to access on the computer. In the email it says it is a pdf, but for some reason when I download it it is a "FILE" type file. I need it to be pdf. Please let me know how I can fix this. The work around that I saw on other forums only worked one time and stopped afterwards.
  14. When I first started using Scannable it worked well, but at some point recently I noticed the app began producing poor image quality when scanning handwritten notes from my moleskine. The handwriting looks blurry and washed-out and in some cases the app misses letters altogether (like, for example, a decimal in a written number). I don't have the same problem with the Evernote app or other scan apps. I am using an iPhone 6S and iOS 9.3.1. I've looked for settings to change but can't find any that have an impact on the problem. The one thing I've noticed is that the problem happens less frequently if I position the hardcopy notes directly below a lamp. But that isn't always possible. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I can do to improve the quality of the scans?
  15. I love Scannable, in particular it's ease of use and speed. Since it was released I find myself using my desktop flatbed scanner much less, and really only for more important documents. Scannable is great for receipts and documents of lesser importance. However, I am finding that the resolution of text scanned on the left hand side of documents is poor. I am not sure if this is a function of my iPhone 6 camera, or Scannable itself. As a test, I have captured the same document in three different ways: 1) using the stock camera app on the iPhone 2) using the document camera within the iOS Evernote app and 3) in Scannable. Certainly, the image saved with the stock camera app does show some signs of lesser resolution at the left hand edge, as does the EN app, it is much more pronounced in the Scannable image. Is anyone else having the same problem? Is this an issue with Scannable or my iPhone 6? Captured with iPhone 6 camera app: Captured with Evernote iOS app doc camera: Scannable image:
  16. Several months ago I changed my default notebook. But all my scannable images go into my prior default notebook instead. Is this a known issue and is there a way to fix it? Thanks.
  17. Looks like scannable will say "email sent" even when it is not sent. A co-worker's default email account on iOS needed an updated password and was not sending mail. Once she entered the password all of the attempts at mailing the doc were sent so we got it multiple times.
  18. Hi I am a freelance consultant My dayli nightmare, for nearly 10 years, is the accountancy : invoices to classify, photocopy, whilst writing the amount in an excel sheet. I would like to connect each scanned invoice (via scannable) with an excel sheet I have configurated , so with iphone I can now dictate the amounts, dates and nature of invoices, but the SCAN of invoice is a priority How can I do ? Thanks for your advice
  19. Using my iPhone, SnapScan can find, and trigger a scan on, my iX500 using WiFi (USB disconnected). However, Scannable times out looking for the scanner, though I can see that it's scanning the correct WiFi network. Can someone suggest a troubleshooting procedure, please? I can't find any settable options so I'm at a loss how to proceed. Thanks! Cheers,
  20. I enjoy Scannable very much, and it is my "go-to" scanning app, but I wonder why the same functionality can't be built right into the Evernote app itself? Evernote for iOS has the ability to take photo notes already, but it won't allow one to save them as PDFs the way Scannable will. It seems like this should be built-in to Evernote, rather than having to use a separate app. Just a thought.
  21. Is there a way to automatically forward scanned emails to a certain email address from within Evernote? I have looked at IFTT but that let's me send an HTML version of the note to my own address. What I want is to be able to scan to Evernote from my scanner and automatically forward the scanned document to an email address. I guess I will have to Macro something on my mac with Automater but I was wondering if there would be a solution from within Evernote. Thanks
  22. When I attempt to take a photo/scan of a business with Evernote camera I see that it is "detecting" and I hear the camera "click". But then the camera shuts off, and I'm out of Evernote to the home screen on my iPhone. This used to work - its been a while since I tried to scan a business card - but now ... nada. Using iPhone 6 Please help.
  23. It would be nice if we could tag right in Scannable before we send to the Evernote folder desired. Is that already happening and I just missed it? Otherwise, this is nearly flawless! Thanks for all of your work! B
  24. Any thoughts on why the automatic scanning works sometimes and not others? Even with a clear document on a contrasting background it works arbitrarily. Thanks.
  25. Scannable/Evernote App for iOS: An easier way to scan long documents. I usually scan receipts and some of them get pretty long and hard to get a good pic. If there was a way to scan it in parts and have it automatically stitched together. Scannable/Evernote App for iOS: Also, a way to scan in multiple documents at once but yet saved as individual pages in whatever app or cloud service you use. A lot of my documents I want to scan at once but I want it automatically backed up as individual pages in one click. Currently, I either have to scan and save each individual document or scan all of them in at once and select each one at a time. I don't always want multipage documents for every group of documents I scan. Evernote App iOS: The selection process when it finds a document, make the green rectangle darker to see it better. Sometimes its hard to tell if it found the document or not on screen.
