  1. Business card scanning on iOS and sharing on OSX (to contacts app) have a number of problems. Hopefully these can be addressed in a future update. Scanning in iOS: 1. Company name and title fields often not populated 2. Only part of the address shows up in the address field; zeros in the postal code show up as lower case o's. It seems impossible to insert line breaks into the field once populated. 3. Various pieces of information are often left out, but this varies quite a bit from card to card. 4. Phone number categories labeled on the card in spanish (e.g., "directo," "celular" etc.) are not used to classify the numbers properly in Evernote. (I'm using the English version). Share->Save to Contacts in OSX: 5. Only one line of the address field is imported to contacts. Even copying and pasting manually gives poor results. Usually -- but not when copied from Evernote -- OSX Contacts is able to parse addresses pasted into the address field into the proper subfields: street, city, state, etc. I even tried pasting the address into the Contacts notes field first, then editing there before pasting into the Contacts address field.
  2. Hi, The auto scan function is really great on Evernote! I have only one outstanding problem with that, which is: Linkedin token expires almost anytime I open the app. It would be great if I wouldn't have to login a complex password each time I want to connect with somebody after closing the app following card scan. Nevertheless, main point of this message is not that. The Auto Mode is great! What would be even better is to be able to SCAN MULTIPLE CARDS AT ONCE and then maybe edit them individually as usual. Is there any ongoing work around that? Another great feature would also be dictation of recorded audio ( such as conference softwares ) but that maybe too much to ask Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming! Best, Server AGIRMAN
  3. Hi I am a freelance consultant My dayli nightmare, for nearly 10 years, is the accountancy : invoices to classify, photocopy, whilst writing the amount in an excel sheet. I would like to connect each scanned invoice (via scannable) with an excel sheet I have configurated , so with iphone I can now dictate the amounts, dates and nature of invoices, but the SCAN of invoice is a priority How can I do ? Thanks for your advice
  4. Is there a plan to introduce Hebrew OCR to search in pictures in Evernote? That would be so great. even more then a native RTL support.... Thank you
  5. When exporting a scanned business card to Mac Contacts, the notes made with the scanned card do not export. Can this please be changed - I'd like the notes that I made as pert of the scan in Evernote to be placed in notes in the vCard
  6. So I bought the Fujitsu Scansnaps s1100 a couple years ago before Evernote had the giant scansnap they now sell in their marketplace. At the time this is what Evernote recommended and I chose it because of it's integration with evernote and because it's so compact and I live in a small San Francisco apt and prefer something compact. So I was dissapointed that the new software Evernote has for Scansnap doesn't work with models like mine and the software downloads from fujitsu no longer have the "Scan to Evernote" feature that the software used to come with (I have an new laptop). Ideally, I'd just prefer Evernote's version of the software to work with the s1100 since it's much nicer then fujitsu's (this is for Mac OSX btw). But even if Fujitsu's would Scan to Evernote again that would at least work. I can't be the only person using the s1100 for Evernote? Anyone have a solution for the s1100 and Evernote?
  7. Hello, I use document scanner i Evernote Android App on my Samsung Galaxy S3 to scan receipts almost every day. About month ago or so - scanner started behave differently. Now it loses focus in camera almost every time and scans are very blurry. I tested document, postit and business card scanning - all they get blurry images. Only normal camera mode (also in Evernote) works fine.
  8. Apparently Evernote has made some changes. I recently "upgraded" to Plus in order to continue scanning business cards. However, after three cards, I am given the message to upgrade to premium. What level allows business card sanning? (I don't have thousands, but a months worth - perhaps 20).
  9. I'm needing to scan a bunch of individual sheets of paper to a file server as a PDF. Each PDF needs to be 1, 2 or 3 images saved to one file. JPG is also a possibility but not optimal as is a searchable PDF. It occurred to me that Evernote gives me a great way to take quick, effective images of a sheet of paper, plus I can do multiple images in one note using a tablet or cell phone. I'm Android based. I've been using a flat scanner on a workgroup color printer to do this work, which is slow and clumsy to do. Evernote is not the final repository of the file, simply a way to get it done quickly. I can create a note, give it a title based on the document I am scanning, image + image + image and done. Now I have a document on my Evernote account as a note. A complicating factor is my tablet and cell are using my personal Evernote account, and sharing the containing notebook to my work Evernote account. So far, that doesn't seem relevant or affect this process. With the note now saved in Evernote, I am opening it and wanting to save it to the file server locally. It looks to me like my only option is using a PDF print driver, which on my machine is slow to do as it crunches through converting the file to PDF. Are there any methods that might make this easier to do? I don't see a way to save the note directly as a PDF for example, at least not in Windows Evernote. I'm contemplating getting an older iPhone, hook up my work Evernote account, and use that for images, perhaps with the Scannable app for IOS. Thanks for any suggestions.
  10. I'm looking for a software/tool/app which recognizes if a text is highlighted or not and only scans it or summarizes whats highlighted. When I read a book I underline some of the text from the book and also later I highlight the key things I underlined and then digitalize them. I'd like to automate the 3rd part so wondering if there's any such software
  11. I am looking for a guide to setting up Evernote and my Canon MX410 printer / scanner so that I can scan documents directly into Evernote. This will be for a Windows 8 environment. Any help will be appreciated.
  12. I did a quick search and could not find this suggestion before so here goes: I wonder if the OCR process can be made to read highlighted text (maybe just of one specific configurable, calibratable color) and automatically assign those as tags for the note. Possibly even have a way to assign a title, say first text it finds that is highlighted and underlined. Thanks for reading.
  13. I need some help with using a new Neatsheet scanner to scan all my receipts and documents directly into my Evernote Business account? Any help or suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks, Jon
  14. I like the feature of Evernote where you put @ followed by the name of the note book and # followed by the tags. And it automatically sends your email to the right notebook. Scanning I was thinking it would be great if I could just put a blank page and type @ followed by the name of the note book and # followed by the names of the tags and it actually would send the scanned documents to the right notebooks. Is there a way to achieve this through scanning? My set up: I scan all my documents and then I add them to Evernote by dragging them from the scanned folder to Evernote. I would love if once a document is put in my inbox folder, Evernote could just look at those words @ and # and move the file to the right folder.
  15. hey guys, I am a premium member, and I have a epson workforce 3540 all in one. I have a lot of handwritten notes that I need to put in evernote to be searchable. They are on lined notebooks, and should be searchable, but when I scan in nothing can be found. The document is a pdf and the search returns ZERO results. I have scanned several different ways and have no idea where to turn to next... I have read post, websites, etc and can not get it to work. Any help with this???
  16. Installed software - no problems; plugged into USB port and installed drivers - no problems. When I scan, it only copies the front page and only one page captured at a time. What could possibly be wrong?
  17. I scanned about 50 business cards at a conference. They are scanned into a PDF in Evernote. What is the easiest way to convert this to a list of emails. Aside from that, what's the easiest way to convert the PDF to plain text and I'll write a program to pull the emails out.
  18. I am looking for a true one-touch, scan-to-Evernote solution. I just bought the highly rated ScanSnap ix500 which I though had one touch scanning, but it is actually two touch scanning. After loading you docs you have to: 1. Push the scan button on your computer 2. After the scan finishes, you have to select the destination for the scan. I want to get rid of part 2. As far as I can tell, there is no way to have the Scansnap scan to Evernote by default. Has any one found a way to scan directly to Evernote without using the quick menu? I looked at other hardware solutions (mostly mulitfunction printers) which can scan to email (and thus to Evernote), but they required 6-9 button pushes on the scanner, though no software interaction was necessary on the computer. Any ideas how to solve this problem?
  19. I have been using scandrop to scan directly into Evernote without saving an additional copy of the PDF on my pc. It was super simple to use. I went to run it today & it no longer loads on my pc. It says it has timed out or something like that & never opens. I searched around & it seems they may have discontinued the windows version & only offers mac version now. Any other similar option to scan into evernote using my neat scanner? Jason
  20. I am using Evernote with a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner. Occasionally, I will scan a document, and when it loads the PDF file into Evernote, the pane showing the PDF file continuously redisplays the document. It is almost like a strobe light. If I click on a different note, the original document continues to re-display. Sometimes I can close Evernote, but it usually hangs and I have to force Windows to close the program. When I start it back up, the document will be there and will resume its repaint. I have to carefully delete the note without doing anything else to get it back into a normal state. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? This problem started with the latest upgrade. I am using Evernote version 5.1.0.2217 (270217) running on Windows XP. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  21. I’m a fan of Evernote and use it for everything from organizing notes to saving web clippings. One major use has been to store all of my product receipts (both scanned directly into Evernote and saved online receipts) that I want to keep for future reference. I find it easy to upload receipts (mostly large purchases like electronics and major appliances) and also like the receipt search functionality, but like most documents stored inside a folder structure, it has a big limitation. It’s impossible to spread all receipts in one view and get an overview of all of your products and use the information from inside the receipts (warranty dates, etc) proactively. So when I want to check my catalog of products and use the information from inside the receipts, I find myself missing the ‘index card’ view (think Pinterest’s boards) with all product information in one place. In an attempt to solve the above, we’ve developed a web application called Unioncy. In short, Unioncy is an appliance management platform that automatically builds a catalog of your purchases and stores all product documentation and information (manuals, receipts, purchase details, serial no., etc.) in one place in the cloud. On top of the catalog, sits a helpful set of features, like warranty and product recall tracking. We're now very excited about an integration with Evernote to offer a simple way to get more out of the receipts that we like to store in Evernote and automatically turn them into digital “product cards”. We’ve released an early version of Unioncy and we recognize that we are far from perfect, so it would be great to hear some feedback in order to try and shape the product in a way that the Evernote community finds useful. Also, any thoughts on how you would like to see the integration work between Unioncy and Evernote would be much appreciated. You can now create a beta account on http://www.unioncy.com/ to see how it works. If you would like to privately share feedback please email me at victor@unioncy.com Thanks!

  23. Hi, I use the "page camera" function on the EN Android app to scan all my lecture notes, hw, hand outs, graded quized, etc. The app puts the first page that i scan at the bottom of the EN Note. This is pretty annoying specially when I try to use EN to study my lecture notes. And I cant find a way to disable this function. I started taking pictures in reverse but there should be a way to disable this. Is there?
  24. Hi guys, I would like to achieve the following and, before spending any money, I would like to know if the following is possible. I am taking a lot of notes for my work. The issue is that I am unable to access Evernote at work (forbidden) and I am unable to send work related information with my mail. So to create my daily notes, I have been recording whatever I want to remember on a Word file, I have been printing it and I was creating my notes home by typing the content I have been typing already. THis is the best solution I found, as before I was typing my notes using a Wireless keyboard on my iPhone.... Both solutions are highly inefficient. So what I would like to do is the following: Keep on typing my notes on word everyday.Print the document at the end of the day.Scan it home, not in a PDF format but directly in an editable note. So basically, I create a note from the paper I have been printing.I will do the formatting by myself, but it should not take me much time. Is it possible to do this? Do I need to have a premium account? Which scanner do you recommend? Thanks in advance for your help, T.
  25. Will I have to pay the Evernote Monthly Premium Fee to Search scanned receipts? I am considering the purchase of a Snapscan scanner primarily to scan and store receipts. I have tried searching receipt scans performed on my Epson 800X and have been unable to do so using the free version of Evernote. Having to pay $5 per month in addition to the $250 cost of the Snapscan seems a little steep to just be able to search receipts. Thanks for your help!
