  1. I have Web Clipper v6.04 installed in Safari 7 on Mavericks. Here are the steps to replicate my issue. After visiting a webpage go to you location bar. Place the cursor at the end of the url. start deleting characters with the backspace key form the end of the url. After deleting 3 or 4 characters, for some reason, the focus on the cursor seems to be moved to the webpage. If I disable the Web Clipper, the described behavior stops. This is extremely annoying. Please fix it.
  2. The past few days, when I try to access my county's library website (multcolib.org), the site loads with three EN web clipper frames open on the screen. I The site (and the web clipper frames) won't respond to my mouse cursor, i.e. when I try to close them or move them. I've used the library site hundreds of times with no problem before this. As far as I remember, I've never used the EN web clipper to clip any pages on the library site. When it first happened, I hadn't used the web clipper at all that day on any website. I got a screenshot and created a link to view: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s221/sh/f5de02f3-d528-46ad-ac16-d1d139185b14/076927c43f1fc1a38cf279ee9fceb7e8 Any ideas what's causing this and how I can fix it? Thanks!
  3. When I installed web clipper 6.04 in Safari 7 some pages behave weird when I have the sidebar visible. The loads as normal at first, but after a second it jumps to the left. I kind of slides under the sidebar. When I disabled web clipper the problem disappeared.
  4. Annoying bug : every time I need to type an email address on a webpage and use the @ key the web clipper opens. Does anybody know how to solve this ? thx.
  5. Using Safari 6.1, I just updated the web clipper today following the release of 6.0. As I surf to Google News and click on the Technology topic, I get a bunch of web clipper panels that I cannot click on and the entire page is rendered useless. I cannot click on anything The only way out is to close the page. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s28/sh/9dbd1739-aad6-4992-9887-373fc902984a/9713c0f17b4ebfa2e399a024b19956fd
  6. Good Morning There seems to be a new issue with this Web Clipper. I have been using the Web clipper with Safari for a while now and never have had this issue. Basically, i first noticed this over the weekend. When i try to log into my companies Ticket System, i should get this page But, over the weekend, when i log in, i get the following page I have narrowed it down to the web clipper. If i disable the web clipper, all is good. i can reach the page and everything, but when i enable the web clipper, it goes back to the screenshot above. Also on the screenshot above, there is nothing to click. You cannot click any of the buttons or anything. We do not even use that Chat feature and its not even turned on. I am not sure how the clipper is pulling that up. Safari 7.0 Please let me know if you need any more info
  7. Here we go again. I'm using Safari 6.1 and the new clipper 6.0.4. I can now view topic pages on Google News with no strange panels appearing. However, the page is still rendered useless as it does not respond to the mouse. Links are not clickable at all. Disabling the extension fixes the problem immediately. This is a little unsettling given Evernote's seeming preference for Macs. Not sure how they missed this one.
  8. I was wondering if there is a way to clip web urls and/or articles I find as I'm browsing on my iPhone or iPad in safari. Thanks.
  9. Web clipper version I had before worked fine. Had to reload machine, loaded current web clipper from evernote. Does not work right. So first, could somebody PLEASE give me a link to the previous version(s) of web clipper for safari? Second, evernote, you need to learn from your experiences of the last year and ALWAYS have OLD versions available for download. Otherwise your insane desire to change and break stuff will drive people like me away from your product and the subscription.
  10. With the latest beta on Safari 7, if you start typing in the location bar, the web clipper will take focus away from the location bar, but ONLY if the javascript console is not visible. Which is weird... Enable the Web ClipperMake sure javascript console is not visible (or any of the inspection toolbar)Refresh PageClick on the location bar (or CMD + L)Start typing an address, such as google.com or amazon.comThe web clipper will take focus away, assuming after a given amount of time has passed for an event to fire in the web clipper. Sort of makes this non-usable. Again, make sure the javascript console is not visible. I had it up to capture/profile and when it was visible it wouldn't show this behavior. If you clear the console, then close it and start typing to cause the address bar to lose focus and then re-show the console, you'll see a lot of this: [Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () (messages.json, line 0) [Error] Failed to load resource: The file “messages.json” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file. (messages.json, line 0) Both of these occur in: safari-extension://com.evernote.safari.clipper-Q79WDW8YH9/32a0f059/_locales/en_us/messages.json
  11. Hi, I used Web Clipper yesterday to clip images on the web - with some difficulties. And after using the Web Clipper, when I go in on other web pages I get "stuff" from Web Clipper taking up half my screen, and I can't make it go away. I've attached a screen shot. What should I do? Uninstall? How?? OSX 10.9 Mackbook Pro Safari v 7
  12. http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/46904-strange-happenings-in-web-clipper-60/ macalba posted (about the latest version of clipper for Safari): ... and I've lost the ability to clip to multiple Evernote accounts. jbignert (Evernote Employee) replied: @macalba - multiple accounts feature has been depreciated, sorry for the inconvenience Could a fan of George Orwell please look in the Orwellian Dictionary and translate "depreciated" for me? Thanks... I guess it's "Merry Christmas" from Evernote.
  13. Is there any way to revert to the old version of the web clipper? The new one feels horribly inefficient compared to the old one. I would like to disable all of the markup options, as they're completely useless to me. (I understand how they're useful to cross-promoting other Evernote products.) I'd have preferred to just email customer service, but there's no obvious email address for handling it so here I am.
  14. Safari 6.1 MacOS 10.8.5 When using Google Docs and editing a document all keyboard text entry is frozen inside the document. The cursor blinks once then persists and text cannot be entered. Web Inspector Error Console shows that insecure content is being loaded (fonts). Disabling the extension corrects the issue and text can be entered and edited. I was able to work around this by selecting 'Page Setup' from the >File menu, but as soon as I change a font or formatting the keyboard locks again. Here is the log: [Warning] The page at https://docs.google.com/document/d/14DjcrqioL_7hKviCr5Qoo12S79Rocb007nnNUpRPR3E/edit displayed insecure content from safari-extension://com.evernote.safari.clipper-Q79WDW8YH9/104a2bf1/fonts/GothamSSm-Medium.otf. 15. I have the Clipper button set up to clip article, and right click on the page to select 'Save Full Page to Evernote'. With the 5.9.15 extension the right click option is visible but doesn't save anything...
  16. I am getting frequent "Waiting for page" errors using web clipper 5.9.15 with Safari 6.1 running on OS X 10.8.5. Here's a URL that always get stuck: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Ginger-Glazed-Mahi-Mahi/Detail.aspx?nextItemId=45833&position=0&prop24=RD_RecipeArrow_Left Here's another one: https://www.google.com
  17. I am learning how to use Web Clipper. How does one capture and forward an entire story to Evernote? I click the icon and get a choice between a full page or a rectangle. But the web article encompasses more than just the beginning screen, which is all I see when I re-open the note in Evernote. I am using Safari 7.0 and web clipper 5.9 etc. Thanks in advance for any help. --Tom T.
  18. Like so many others I struggled for quite some time in between other tasks to get the web clipper tool placed in the Safari toolbar. Suddenly it struck me that Evernote most likely was part of Safari's extensions, and it was. I went to the extensions box and searched for Evernote. When I found it I installed it and was taken to the clipper page. On that page I yet again clicked on the the box "Install clipper" and voila the symbol was in place in the safari tool bar. I am happy again as I was on the verge to go back and use Google.
  19. Safari 7's new Reading List now features continuous scrolling where scrolling in the main window will go from article to article in the Reading List. Nice feature, but Web Clipper doesn't take it as nicely - it tries to clip not only the main article but also the adjacent articles and you will end up with a whole bunch of new notes, each with the same name you had assigned when clipping but with the contents of the additional clipped articles. I hope there's a fix for this soon.
  20. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.03) installed. Clipping pdf files with the Evernote Web Clipper was going fine... Right up until I decided to disable the Acrobat Pro pdf plug-ins for Safari (so that pdf files in Safari would open in the browser's default, not Acrobat Reader). I followed the instructions on the Adobe site here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/display-pdf-browser-acrobat-xi.html Now, however, I get an error when trying to use the Evernote Clipper, telling me to try reloading the page. When I reenable the Adobe plugins in Safari (by putting them back in the Internet Plug-ins folder in Library, by reversing above instructions), the Evernote Clipper works again. Disable it again—same problem. I've tried uninstalling the Web Clipper, and also tried closing Safari and restarting the machine before each step of changing the plugins—none of that makes any difference. Anyone have any ideas? I'd love to use Acrobat, Safari's preview of pdf's, and Evernote Web Clipper all together—and everything but the Web Clipper works fine. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. W.
  21. The Web Clipper Function (via iPad Safari) Now has not been working for over 1 full week (just a blank box shows up for hours! see attached screenshot) In fact this problem was identified & discussed (by Evernote users & workers) ALL LAST WEEK! Then this morning another Evernote worker (responding to yet another complaint) treated it as though it was a new problem and seemed to be dismissing it by saying it was just slow but still functional. THIS IS NOT TRUE. It is NOT JUST SLOW. IT DOES NOT FUNCTION AT ALL. It has not worked now for 1+ week and counting. What is Evernote going to do NOW & TODAY to FIX IT! I, and many others pay good money ("Premium Member"), and chose your product/service over many others) a a management tool for our research, work, interests...lives; and this is the way you treat us???
  22. I was just wondering, why on earth would you not release the amazing version 6.0 of the Web Clipper for Safari? Or Firefox? Doesn't look particularly democratic from Evernote to do this. Am I missing something here?
  23. Hello I wonder, could you tell me, anybody, how to set my general notebook as the default no ice see when web clipping in Safari? Thank you everybody so much Best wishes Tim from London
  24. I've been using web clipper on safari for many months with no problems. Today I decided to switch to two-factor authentication for my evernote account. A few hours later I tried to clip something and it wouldn't let me log in - saying I had an invalid password. What do I need to do?
  25. Evernote says I must enable my browser to accept third party cookies to use the Evernote Clipper. I do have this setting, so why can't I clip anything while using Safari? Untitled.tiff
