When I started using Evernote nearly a decade ago, the 100.000 total note limit felt pretty unattainable. However, after using this product as a bucket for everything over the years I'm apparently there, and I would guess that I'm not completely alone. I've brought this up with the EN support and the "solutions" I have been suggested are to either delete notes, export data out of Evernote (!) or open another account. One of the strengths with this platform is that you get to have everything searchable in one place, so none of these recommendations really solve the problem. What I've

I find the current (Aug 2014) time and date selector on the Evernote android app to be less convenient than it can be. Please have a look at the stock (?) time selector that can be found the in apps like Sleep as droid. It displays a clock from which you select the hour you need for the reminder. It always 2 clicks away whereas the selection in evernote is maybe good looking back always take a few tries to select the hour you need. To say nothing of the day selection that is by default set on "tomorrow". I believe it can be made less burdensome - there are lots and lots of examples - take the

I often use a lot of tags with my notes, and I'd love a way to be able to view all tags on a given note at a glance (no scrolling). I recognize this could be a real estate problem for the browser view, but it seems reasonable for the Information popup -- I want it to be more informative! This request would be for all platforms.

Hey y'all, I'm running Evernote on Mac and was wondering if there is a keyboard shortcut to move the focus to the list while in list view? I searched this forum and the help documents but couldn't find anything (so please excuse if I was just too dim to find it ;-) Thanks!

I know, I know, this is the dream. I’ve been requesting this since EN acquired Penultimate. As of right now there are 2 different interfaces for inking and annotation. Inking (or sketching) uses a similar engine as penultimate, and annotation uses the skitch interface. It would be INSANELY great and useful if the inking engine replaced the skitch pen an marker, its way better and sometimes you need to scribble on an image or sign a PDF. And on the sketching side, it would also be useful to implement some of the features of the skitch annotation UI: like stamps, text, arrows, an

I like that the notebook's snippet view has an image thumbnail (if image is loaded). But the image changes based on most recent upload? It would be great if you could determine and lock the image. Use case 1: I have a notebook for all of my clients, that has my discussion notes, crucial profile data, etc. I would like the thumbnail to be my clients' logos. Makes them easier to identify. Use case 2: Put profile picture of a contact. I have notebooks to keep notes on my clients and try to get familiar with them.

Is there a way (and if there isn't could you please feed this into your new features requests queue) to automate sorting of notes that land up in the default notebook into other notebooks according to title, tags and content. Please note that I am aware of the features of being able to put notebook names and tags in the subject line of an email and these are NOT suitable for my situation. I am also aware of IFTTT but cannot find any recipies that do what I need to do. At work I am working on anythign from 3 to 10 projects at a time. Each project has a unique 6 digit code. Whenever I se

Hi there, new to Evernote. One of the most important things for me is the ability to export the data (for local backup) and import data should any problems arise. Thankfully Evernote has an export feature. However, I noticed that any imports lose the stack information and date note was created. Not retaining stacks I can live without but not having the created date is a huge problem for me (and I imagine other users). Some notes are so time specific (e.g first time your child speaks/does something significant) and not having that information can render the note useless. Is there a way E

I'd love to see Evernote add the ability to automatically generate a todo list based on all your unchecked checkboxes. There is currently the ability to search for unchecked checkboxes, and to save that search, and then to add that search as a Shortcut - this is all pretty awesome. The result of this is that I get a list of notebooks that include unchecked checkboxes - exactly what I'd expect from a search. What I'd like to see is Evernote automatically generate a "note" that contains, in one stream, all of the unchecked checkboxes in my notes in one view. Context would be critical - both

Greetings, In the Evernote Mobile app on my iOS I regularly work from the "All Notes" view because my notes are recent projects. Each Notebook is the name of a project. When I scan the list of notes it'd be awesome if the note could show the Notebook name on the top right. Then I can easily know the topic (e.g. project) for the note. See attached for what I mean. Cheers.

Previously when there were conflicting modifications in Evernote notes a duplicate note was created in separate "Conflicting changes" notebook. I've just noticed that this behaviour seems to have changed in newer versions and the conflicting content now occurs at the bottom of the note. So far I've found two notes in my library with conflicting modifications from back in January and February. I never received any notifications of these conflicts and the notes have since been edited so it's impossible to see what the original conflict was! Please, please, if there conflicting changes please giv

I'd like to be able to open my notes to the position I was last editing them - I use multiple text notes for different purposes, and it would save time not having to scroll 20 pages down on some, or find a certain position in others each time I switch notes. I looked for the option in Tools, Options and was surprised it wasn't there (Windows), but I also use android. I would imagine functionality would be a preference per device. Don have a great day

Adding word count to Evernote Android/iOS app will help Evernote keep users who would otherwise use other apps because of the lack of this simple yet essential feature on Evernote. All kinds of writers depend on this feature! Journalists, content writers, students with writing assignments, short story writers, novelists, and so on. Add word count to Evernote Android/iOS app please. It's 2015!

I believe one of the biggest improvements that can be made to Evernote without changing much of the product's base is to promote Saved Searches to a "first-class citizen" status, like Notebooks and Tags. After a while, just tags and notebooks are not enough to organize everything, so I rely heavily on saved searches to use Evernote. But the functionality is very hidden and not very intuitive to use. My suggestion would include some things like: 1. Place a "Saved Searches" icon on the sidebar, along with "Notes", "Notebooks" and "Tags" (same hiearchy) 2. Implement a screen

Feature request - I'd love to see some kind of feature similar to InDesign's Paragraph and Character style functionality. I understand this might not be really considered as a good feature for Evernote in order to avoid feature bloating (too many features, leading to poor UX/UI), but in case isn't hasn't been considered, here it is! I was just writing out my notes for a speech, and I've been highlighting all the quotes from others I'm using in red, and at the end I wished I had done it in a different color, so now I have to go through one-by-one and change the colors. With Character stylin

This issue has been a thorn in the side of many for years now. So I thought that rather than keep banging on about it in various different threads, none of which are specifically about this problem, I'd start a thread dedicated to it. The ability to configure toolbars on almost every app that runs on a Mac has been a standard feature of Mac OS X for as long as that OS has existed. Those who have used Macs for longer than me can possibly recall if it was present in OSs before OS X. But Evernote, for some reason that I have never been able to figure out, bucks the system and insists on havin

My requested feature is an addition to the Evernote top menu. From the top menu, select <Format> From the format menu, select <Paragraph> At the top of the paragraph menu please add <New Paragraph> The purpose of this requested feature is to provide a means to change formatting to manually add content or comments to an existing n

Hello, I am ok in multiple languages and therefore read and save things in different languages. Sometimes one language has a better word for a specific thought and you mix up languages... (hope im not the only one who does this?) What I would love would be a search, that additional checks my notes for my query in different languages. That could be an optional. To narrow down the results the user should also define which languages one speaks and likes to search for in his profile. e.g. if you search for 'dog', it should show me notes with 'Hund' or 'Perro'. (english, german, spanish)

A lot of times using skitch, I want to show that 2 parts of the screenshot are not equidistant. A simple pixel measurement tool would be incredibly useful. Basically, its a tool that as you drag measures the pixels between the endpoints and displays it below. looks like this I___________I I____I 32px 12px It's not important that it's super precise, just that it shows an approximation of the size of the line. Additionally you could have a small tick showing the halfway point I____i____I 20px

I tend to keep a lot of PDF files in Evernote. I usually end up viewing them using Acrobat, b/c the Evernote PDF viewing capabilities are limited. Here are a few quick suggestions for some simple improvements that would make viewing PDF files a lot easier. Improve navigation between pages Moving between pages is awkward. You have to hit the arrows in the grey pop up window that says "Page 1 of 4593 pages" (uh, I have some seriously large PDF files) Make the PageUp and PageDown keys move one page backwards and forwards, respectively (as in Acrobat)Make the Mouse scroll button not only move wi

Dear dev team, I like Evernote very much, but I don't use it for typing. Why? very uncomfortable. i'm a professionnal writer and I'm writing in hirizontal mode by 2 tumbs. In evernote horiz interface you left only 4 lines of the text. It's very few!!! Please add the possibility to switch off all unuseful boards. Look at the good example: the format boards appear only after SELECTION. I hope you'll try to create your app more comfortable for people who are really WRITING Thanks for your attention See the examples in the attach file.

I accidentally clicked on the Delete button on the toolbar, and my note just disappeared and was gone... just like that. It sure would make me a little more confident that I won't lose valuable work if there was a confirmation that asked, "Are you sure?" before deleting. Could you add this in? Or at least have an option under settings for this? Thanks so much for reading this. Shawn--

I'm a frequent user of Evernote and like it because of it's simplicity. But table editing is a bit too minimalistic for making me happy.I would love to see improvements in the following areas. Critical Features:* Select entire Rows and Columns.* Copy and Paste entire Rows and Columns in same or different table. Nice to Have Features:* Show Cell Width as percentage while resizing them. (adjust width to the same size as in a different table)* Edit Default Cell Padding for all tables. (todays default takes a lot of space) Thanks a lot :-)
