  1. Maybe I'm missing this, but I was previously able to call up my reminders separately from a shortcut view by tapping the reminders button on the top or bottom (strange that it bumped around). With 8.0, I can see my reminders in the general "notes" area by selecting "Reminders" from the top. It then shows all reminders in order of due date, BUT my shortcuts no longer have the ability to view reminders by due date. I can only arrange by created date or edited date for all notes. This is important if you hope to manage reminders for specific tags or notebooks - to exclude non-associated reminders... like say... shared notebooks. I can see reminders owned by others within a notebook I do not own. I want the ability to restrict my todo list to what is definitely mine, within the category I have defined. Looks great though.
  2. I'm hoping to be able to input my monthly and some annual bill into my Evernote, and then set recurring reminders. I would like Evernote to send me reminders a day or a week before my bills are due, so I can ready myself to pay them. Can this be done with Evernote currently? I already use the Evernote reminder tool, however to be best of my knowledge, it can't be used to set recurring reminders. Any feedback, support or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Warm rgds, Donald
  3. Currently the badge counter disappears once you open Evernote. It would be nice to have an option that allows the Evernote badge to remain persistent and decrement or disappear as reminders are marked complete.
  4. I would like to have option to set reminder to repeat every day (maybe also week, month). Manually setting reminder each day for the next is cumbersome.
  5. I love Evernote and use it for many different things. One thing that would be helpful would be to highlight a specific word, sentence, paragraph, etc. within a note and set a reminder on that specific part of the note and when the reminder popped up it would take you to that note and highlight that section of the note. Thanks
  6. Description of the problem: setting reminders in Evernote on iPhone and then clicking on a reminder (in notification center) opens up the note the reminder is attached to however, when I go back to my notifications the other notifications are now missing from "Today" view on the iPhone? Sometimes I have quite a few notification which I miss in notifications center after I've opened Evernote and it really is confusing. Would it be changed in your next updates? It would be great if the reminders stay in notification center untill we tap on it or delete them separately as for example notifications of Tweeter, Instagram and a lot of other apps. I am attaching two photos: #1 presents three different notifications (as you can see ;)) #2 presents the notification center after I click on one of them and go back to the notification center (the other two should still be there as they are not yet changed to different time or deleted)
  7. Hello, Currently, Reminders are not really reminding me, because they appear and disappear quickly and I don't notice them. I am using the Windows client, I don't know about other clients, but I think all Evernote apps should have the options that I'm about to suggest. Suggestions to improve Reminders: Add option to play a notification sound Add option to choose a style of reminder notification, maybe the notification can be configured to be a large window that appears containing the entire Note or something like that Display Remaining time until the Reminder date, for example 5 days remaining or 3 hours remaining Reoccurring reminders: add an option to specify that I should be reminded every X times, for example remind me every day, or every couple of hours etc... These features are simple and they can be implemented in a short time. Hopefully they will be added in the next Evernote update.
  8. Using the iPhone app you need to select Notes and than Reminders to show the list with reminders. Would be nice (and there is enough free space) if you can select Reminders directly from the start-up screen.
  9. Hi, I have created a custom search which search for notes within a specific notebook and with one or more specific tag. It looks like this and works just fine: notebook:"Actions Pending" tag:"11 Home" Now, my plan was to extend the search, so all notes with a due date tomorrow and onwards was excluded, so I tried this: notebook:"Actions Pending" tag:"11 Home" -reminderTime:day+1 However, it seems like the search term "-reminderTime:day+1" also excludes all notes without any reminder at all, which I dont want. So, is it possible to make a single search in Evernote for notes with a due date of today or earlier as well as notes without any reminders?
  10. Here's a thought.. Evernote lets me sort my notes by reminder date/time - Cool Evernote lets me create advanced filters to look at notes for a particular day - Cool Some guy wrote a book called "Getting things done with Evernote" and now I have a dated task system wherever I am in the world - Love it Please please please please please please give me the option to put the time against the reminder instead of meaningless (for me anyway) time measures like "16 minutes ago" or "Today". Did I mention that the iOS version already does this so it would make it more consistent too... Cheers and NEVER go Evernote Cold Turkey
  11. Evernote needs setting for unique notification ringtone rather than using the default. I want to be able to distinguish Evernote reminders from other events.
  12. I can open a note on the iPhone and use Siri to "remind me of this". It will put a link in the built-in iOS Reminders app to the Evernote note. Love this feature, however, now that MacOS Sierra has Siri built it, I'm wondering if the "remind me of this" feature will come to the Mac. Right now, Siri responds with "I can not remind you about the app". I know EN has built in reminders. I use EN reminders in a different way (longer term tickler file). Would love to know if this feature is coming!
  13. Evernote Premium, iOS version, running iOS 10.0.2, iphone 6S Plus. I use what I consider to be a significant number of reminders on my notes. I would love to see any or all of the following features in the iOS version: 1. A "tomorrow" button for when I am changing the time in my reminder. 2. A "repeat" option, very similar to the ability inherent in iOS reminders to have reoccurring reminders. 3. "Add to calendar" so that my reminders or even just an Evernote icon, are visible in my calendar which prompt me to check Evernote. 4. Some sort of enhancement for the reminder so that is can appear different or provide a different prompt than standard Apple prompts. Thanks for all of the great work.
  14. The current reminder implementation is - well - spartanic. being an almost fanatic evernote user this continues to be a thorn in my side, so here are two feature requests on reminders: - recurring reminders: as plenty of people have stated before, this is way overdue. weekly, monthly, yearly, other intervals, you name it. this would be truly important for my workflow and as it seems not just mine. - option to send calendar entries per email to your default email address, when setting up a reminder. the lack of a native evernote connection, any connection, between my evernote reminders and my calendar is closing in on obscure. to my limited knowledge both these features should be fairly easy to implement or even integrate. would very much appreciate them finally showing up... thanks & best regards, Lorenz
  15. Hi, I've made an account here because I am going a bit crazy trying to figure this out. I googled where the reminder icon is and it looked pretty straightforward. there is a "clock" icon which shows I can set a reminder. I am also able to set reminders through the evernote app on my android phone. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set reminders on my desktop app. I've attached image of the desktop screenshot of my evernotes app as well as the version number. I don't see that "clock" icon anywhere. I've made sure that my app is up to date as well. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. When I google to see where the icon would be, I see something along the lines of this picture:
  16. RECURRING reminders seems like such an obvious feature to enable on the reminder feature. Am I missing something? Seem like a no brainer. Please advise.
  17. On my iPhone, when I go to the "Notes" view, I always see a "Reminders" field at the top of the screen. I don't use Reminders and I'd prefer not to see that field - can I get rid of it? I know, it shouldn't be a huge deal, but it's a phone and the screen doesn't have much real estate. Plus it's just annoying. I don't see this field on my iPad. Thanks in advance! (And apologies for failing to find this same question elsewhere on the forum - it must be there, and I've looked, but I couldn't find it.)
  18. Please can we get an option to auto-delete reminders once marked as done?
  19. I did a brief search and didn't find any user-suggested themes along these lines; Evernote needs a more expansive reminder system. Repeating reminders, reminders by day of week, location, application launch, website launch, multiple reminders for one task/note, alarm settings and a calendar by which to set said reminders, or it needs to integrate with a system that already performs these services. If it isn't ever on my mind, my notes are pretty much useless to me. I need something to keep me up to date. Right now I'm using GTasks for everything and it's note-taking system is dismal in comparison. I really love Evernote's system for note-taking, it's brilliant.
  20. I'm fairly new to Evernote and love it so far. I was looking for a single app where I could make lists, notes and reminders. I love the fact that I can integrate the content between my iPhone, Mac at home and my Windows PC at work. I would like to see an enhancement to the Reminders feature that would allow for a snooze option and / or automatically launches the note or bolds the text on the home screen for the note with the reminder. The reminders are too easy to clear from my iPhone - they usually pop-up on my Lock screen and only flashes briefly on my PC then fades. If I'm not sitting at my PC at the time, then I miss it entirely. Please let me know if there is a more appropriate place to post this kind of Topic or request or maybe there are some current settings in Evernote that I am not aware of yet or don't have set up properly. Thank you!
  21. Is anyone aware of a hotkey to add a reminder to a currently selected note? If not, I sure hope the EN team will either add a hotkey, or at least put "add reminder" somewhere in the menu bar so I can create my own using OSX's keyboard prefs.
  22. How to set recurring reminders I just can't find it anywhere or I don't know how to set them up, any help?
  23. What were you people thinking? What used to be an easy to use feature that could be set in seconds, is now a several step process: I have to set the date, then I have to set the hour, then I have to set the minutes. Can we have the option to use the single dial to set all three at once back? 80% of my Evernote use is reminders, and if it's difficult to use, I'll quickly switch to a different app.
  24. Hello all, I mistakenly clicked the reminder icon in one of my notes and now an annoying "Reminders" section has appeared at the top of my notes list. I've tried to make the section disappear, to no avail. I marked the reminder as completed, I clicked the little timer icon on and off -- neither of these two things got rid of the "Reminders" section or the note filed in it. First, how can I get rid of the section? Second, how can I prevent the de-selected reminded note from appearing in the section? Thanks...
