  1. Suggestion: Would it be possible to allow for adding/modifying/removing multiple reminders at once, please? It would be so handy to have the option to move all reminders for today to tomorrow, for example, or to mark a bunch of them as done, instead of having to click or tap around like mad for each one of them individually. This would not take a huge amount of effort, I believe and could be implemented on all platforms.
  2. Hello, Just would like to request the feature of being able to decide whether a reminder should be eliminated or not when is market as done. At the moment if you mark it like done, basically stays there with the rest of your notes... This is ANNOYING. I know I can have as many notes as I want, but I don't want to have notes of a title "call mom" repeating over and over next to actual useful ones. Thanks.
  3. One of Evernote's primary strengths the workflow provided by its keyboard-friendly UI, which allows you to accomplish many things in a fraction of the time required to point and click. Reminders have been without keystroke support for a long time, and it's a major workflow disruption. Please consider a quick fix, which could be accomplished without dedicating an official "Keyboard Shortcut," by simply adding a keystroke sequence that lets you move through the File menu: Just as Copy Note Link is available mouse-free (Alt, N, L) , Add Reminder could be accessible via Alt, N, R (currently unused)
  4. I would love to see reoccurring reminders. I currently use the reminders app in IOS but would gladly ditch it so I can continue to use Evernote for everything. Thank you.
  5. I am using Chrome version 60.0.3112.78 (Official Build) (32-bit). Under "REMINDERS" the default sort order is flagged as "Custom". When I change this to "Due Date" it is sorted accordingly but the sort setting (and sort order) returns back to "Custom" the next time I visit the home page hence my question : Is it possible to retain the sort setting for listing reminders ?
  6. When I create a new note on my iPhone in 11.0.1, there is no click face to click on to designate it as a reminder. What has happened? I need my reminders.
  7. EVERNOTE FANS android users.i am a heavy user of EVERNOTE and huge fan. i use it for everything. the use of reminders was not good enough for me , so , i have developed, for my own use, a 3 dimensional unique view of REMINDERS.Looks great , easy to use , colofull i would love to get you input before uploading it to the EVERNOTE app center. interested ? , send me a request , manny@REBO.com and i will send you back the APK. ( no tricks , no malware , no virus )
  8. The Idea is to add recurring reminders, for instance after setting reminder there should be an option to repeat: Daily Weekly Monthly Yearly I think it will be useful and add value to the users.
  9. I'm not sure this is possible (I couldn't figure out how), to receive notifications for updates (edits, added files) for a given notebook I'm sharing (or within a notebook someone has chosen to share with me). I see that I can make reminders to myself (or chat to others), but it really would be helpful in my case at least. As a teacher, I like to receive notifications when a student has altered a notebook (esp. ones that they created). Is that at all possible, desirable?
  10. I love reminders and know how to do them via email but I can't find hot to do them in the Windows desktop client. I have a note I'm creating (or already created) and want to add a reminder. Can't see anything that looks like an alarm clock icon like the Mac interface has. I've looked in the menus, had the note open and closed (highlighted), etc. No luck. Please advise. Thanks! For context, I'm using the classic Windows client (because, and I've posted about this, the new client is completely impractical for how I use Evernote...so I hope the answer isn't "Use the new client to get reminder support").
  11. hello evernote fans. i have developed for my own use , a specialty designed REMINDERS VIEW. android based for now. allows three dimensions , filtered and colored view of reminders. interested , let me know , and i will supply the apk. no charge. attached are some screen examples contact me on Mrosenblum@gmail.com
  12. I can get an email in the morning, which is nice, but I was hoping that Evernote would pop up a little window when a reminder came due. I get a notification on my iPad but not on my Windows 7 Desktop. (New user)
  13. I have the Outlook app for iOS and I love the feature that picks up the EN reminders and puts them in your calendar. It even has the green EN icon next to the reminder. However, I can't figure out if my desktop version of Outlook can do the same thing? I would love to create an "EN Reminder Calendar" in Outlook that I can overlay with my normal appointment calendar. Any thoughts? Thanks.
  14. Hi, I keep a different note within my "meetings" notebook for the many different meetings I attend. In each note I am constantly using the "to do" check box to keep track of my take aways from the meeting and what I'm responsible for completing. It would be really nice if there was a feature that could be turned on that highlighted any notes that had unchecked to do boxes. This would help to make sure I don't forget to go back to a note to see what I need to do. If it was highlighted or popped up some kind of reminder when I opened Evernote I would know I still had a action item from a meeting I needed to complete before the next one. Once all the to do boxes are checked off, then it would go back to not being highlighted/the reminder would go away.
  15. I love using evernote but the reminders feature is very poor. It feels very much like an addon rather than a true feature. I use evernote for everthing and would love to get rid of using e.g. calendar and tasks in outlook and focus on Reminders in Evernote. Some of the issues. 1. the reminders don't have an easy way to switch off/cancel when its been seen. E.g. it stays as a red mark on the app. Often I don't want to delete the whole note just to get rid of the red reminder icon. 2 I would also have a shortcut into reminders from email or the other webapps such as the @XXX feature that is added when you want a note to go straight into a specific folder. I believe reminders can be a much more powerful tool 3. Reminders could also have multiple options for saving at different priority levels.
  16. These were written with the OS X client in mind, but hopefully the spirit of the updates could be reflected on the other clients as well. Bulk Change Due Date This will be extremely convenient for anyone trying to do something non-trivial with the Reminder feature. There is currently no alternative except to manually click each note, go to Reminder -> Change Date -> click calendar/click the text entry field and update it there. If you want to change 10 date-less reminders to be due at the end of the month, it's a big hassle. Users should be able to change the Due Date on multiple reminders at once. When multiple notes are selected, the "multi-select" screen that appears in Snippet View should have a "Set Reminder Due Dates" field. The right-click menu should have an "Add/Change Reminder Due Date" entry which changes to "Set Reminder Due Dates" when multiple notes are selected. The "Note" menu should have an "Add/Change Reminder Due Date" entry which changes to "Set Reminder Due Dates" when multiple notes are selected.Completion History The current lack of history and searchability of completed reminders is contrary to Evernote's core premise of being able to find stuff based on any relevant vector. It's pretty reasonable to ask "Okay... what did I get done last week?", and I was honestly surprised to find that it is currently not possible. When a user marks a note reminder as Complete...The "Alarm" icon changes from blue to green. The completion is noted permanently on the Note somehow. Ideas: A "Completed Date" field appears in the Note Info dialogue with today's date ("Completed:" would also show up next to "Created:" and "Updated:" in the main note view). This is much more invasive to code since it would get the Reminder model chocolate all up in the Note model peanut butter, but is much more preferable because it encourages searchability and has a cleaner appearance. A History entry is created for the note that reads "Marked Complete by {User}" A "completed" tag is automatically added to the Note. In Preferences -> Reminders, there is a checkbox called "Tag completed Notes" that toggles this behavior. When the checkbox is checked, Input A and Input B become enabled. Input A is a text box which is populated by default with "completed". Input B is a checkbox with the label "Append the current date to completion tags", which will result in completed Notes being tagged "completed 1/6/2014" for example. Reminder Milestones The Reminders feature is excellent, especially with the beautifully-implemented "Upcoming Reminders" list that appears in Snippet View. I think a simple "Milestones" feature would make them even more functional and intuitive. Basically a Milestone is an unspecified point in time that represents a bunch of other tasks being completed. For example, you could have a "To-Do List" notebook, and create a Milestone Note for each month. Or if you're working on a home improvement project, you could have a Milestone for "Licenses and Raw Materials", another for "Basic Construction", and another for "Finishing Touches". When a user clicks on the gray Alarm icon for a Note with no reminder, the resulting popup now has two buttons. In addition to the "Add a Date" button, there is a "Set Milestone" button. When a user clicks on the blue Alarm icon for a Note with a reminder, there is a fourth button that reads "Clear Milestone"/"Set Milestone" based on whether the Note is already a Milestone.Milestone Reminders have a distinct background color in the "Upcoming Reminders" list, and their title appears in Bold-weighted font. They are otherwise functionally identical to normal Reminders in terms of setting dates, dragging to reorder, and notifications.Nice-to-Have: Notes with Milestone Reminders have another button/icon somewhere that automatically updates their text to be a Table of Contents listing ONLY the Notes that are part of that Milestone, which is determined by the following rules:A note is considered to be part of a Milestone if it...Appears ABOVE the Milestone in the "Upcoming Reminders" list (either by default positioning or by a user manually dragging it there) Does NOT appear above any other Milestones in the "Upcoming Reminders" list.In other words, a Note can only be part of one Milestone at a time, and a Milestone is comprised of all Notes that appear BETWEEN that Milestone and either the next Milestone above it OR the top of the "Upcoming Reminders" list.Nice-to-Have: When a Note is completed, if it is part of a Milestone according to the above rules, a link to it is added to a "Completed Reminders" list at the bottom of the Milestone Note. If the list does not exist, it is created. This is similar to the "Table of Contents" functionality, but on a Note-by-Note basis.ALTERNATIVELY, there could be a lo-fi way of doing this by simply allowing Reminders to have some basic formatting applied on the "Upcoming Reminders" view. For example, if you select one or more Reminders on the "Upcoming Reminders" list, open the Color list, and select a color, the background color of that Note's entry would change to the selected color. It could conceivably work with the Font list too. Thank you for your time! - Max
  17. NEED Keyboard shortcuts to access Reminders, (as well as Send a Copy aka Email Note). Can I recommend Control+r Also, setting certain set times to have notes remind you, in the style of Google Inbox, would be great. "This Evening", "Tomorrow Morning", etc. -Ben S.
  18. Ever since the new iOS update, individual notes cannot be sorted according to due dates (reminders). I used to be able to click on an individual notebook, and view my notes sorted by reminders. Now, there is just a single notebook named Reminders that you can view them by. Am I doing something wrong?
  19. Greetings, I've been using Evernote for a few years and recently I started to deal with recurring dates for projects. For me, a downside of Evernote is the lack of recurring reminders. I tried two apps with the reminder function, Todoist and Google Keep. However, Todoist locks the feature for its Premium users, which is a major reason for me to look for something else, since I already pay for the Premium version of Evernote. I found in Google Keep a solid app to use in integration with Evernote, specially because of its robust reminder function, with a lot of possibilities to set recurring reminders. My basic workflow has Evernote as a main repository of tasks, with linked notes stored in separate main planning notes, for each project. Now, with Keep, based on the planning I did with Evernote, I set the weekly and monthly reminders to remind me of important deadlines, tasks and events related to those projects. I can say it works like a charm. I wanted to know other ways to integrate and fully implement productivity workflows with Evernote and the recurring reminder function of Keep. Suggestions? Thanks in advance. gcg79
  20. I just downloaded Evernote for iOS version 8.0.351713 and discovered that I can no longer sort reminders chronologically and can no longer truncate future reminders. Please return this functionality. Renner
  21. Does everyone sharing a notebook see a reminder set on a note in that notebook? Does it make any difference if the reminder is set by the notebook's owner or one of the other people sharing the notebook?
  22. Howdy, Members: I would like to change a REMINDER DATE from PAST to CURRENT on my PC. Reminder Alarm Icon is missing... and unable to find how to insert in tool bar. (See: attachs) Even deleting reminder and clicking on down arrow (right of Info) does not provide CURRENT option. PLEASE ADVISE. Thank you much! ~ Alan
  24. Google Calendar (GC) has multiple sub-calendars (layers is another way to think about it), one of which is Reminders. When using Cronofy to sync Evernote with GC (which puts all EN notes with a reminder date into GC), the only option I see is to sync to the main calendar. Since I use EN for task management, I have lots of EN notes with reminder dates, but most of these aren't calendar events and I'd like to keep that clutter off the main calendar, which I'd like to use only for events. Is there a way to get EN reminders into the Reminders calendar of GC instead of the main calendar? @adambird
  25. After years of consistently receiving reminder emails, I have recently stopped receiving them. I am confident that: They are enabled Not going to my junk mail I have reminders for the day I have filed a ticket with Evernote support but I'm still waiting for a response. Has anyone experienced this issue? Thanks.
