  1. Hello to the evernote community! So, I was a evernote user a few years ago, stopped to use it and switched to other services. Today, I have given Evernote another try, found that many things improved, starting with the fact that I simplified my usage of Evernote. Less is more. Biggest problem I have right now is that it doesn't seem to exist any usable data migration tools. I am sure the Evernote community has a lot of die-hard fans that are here since years, but welcoming new users is also very important for it to grow, and an essential point for new users is the data-migration part. Proof is that this topic comes up again and again, and it seems no response come. See for example: bulk import HTML file with links REQUEST: Save full text automatically Read it later articles Is there a way to import my articles I already have in pocket to evernote? Evernote and Pocket http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/how-can-i-move-my-pocket-bookmarks-over-to-evernote/ http://www.cultofmac.com/221894/move-over-instapaper-and-pocket-dotdotdot-adds-notes-tags-and-comments-opinion/ http://www.cultofmac.com/221894/move-over-instapaper-and-pocket-dotdotdot-adds-notes-tags-and-comments-opinion/ People want to import the data they already have in their current read-it-later service. I'm not talking here about tools like ifttt or zapier that are useful for new data, but don't migrate your existing data. I am talking about tools like Pocket ReadingpackInstpaperWallabagReadbility...A lot of us have hundreds of notes there that currently can't be exported to Evernote, thus for us, Evernote would fail the "Remember Everything test". Most of those tool either have an API (that's why ifttt and zapier can make use of them) or can export the data as a list of urls. For pocket for example that would be http://getpocket.com/developer/ and https://getpocket.com/export So please, give us a way out of our current services Jean-Michel EDIT: better display questions of people having a similar problem
  2. Evernote Team -- Please Don't Use Low Contrast Text Dear Evernote UI designers, web masters, and email broadcasters, could you please not use small, low contrast text in the main text body of your products and documents? I know you may think the color scheme looks really cool, and complies with your corporate branding, but what is the point of your cool communications if they can't be read, or, are so hard to read that people ignore them? Isn't the FIRST objective of an email, web page, or app to communicate well, and be readable to the viewer? Below is a screen shot of an email that I just received. What is the benefit of using very light gray text on a white background? Compare these two lines: I know you may think the color scheme looks really cool, and complies with your corporate branding, but what is the point of your cool communications if they can't be read, or, are so hard to read that people ignore them? I know you may think the color scheme looks really cool, and complies with your corporate branding, but what is the point of your cool communications if they can't be read, or, are so hard to read that people ignore them? Do you see the clear difference? Do you see how much easier it is to read the first line than the second line? Yes, I can read the second line if I get close to my monitor, and study the text carefully. But is being cool worth the loss of readability? SNAPSHOT OF EMAIL FROM EVERNOTE EDIT: I'm not sure what happened to the above link, but it will no longer display. Here's the link:
  3. For a long time I have disliked the small, unadjustable font Evernote uses for text on IOS. Not only is it hard coded so that the user has no control, the font size doesn't respond to Dynamic Type, Apple's system for accessibility. I have seen complaints over the years in this forum, but apparently Evernote has no interest in changing. Which puzzles me - simply bumping the font size would seem to be an easy change, and it is hard for me to imagine anyone would complain. Of course a more proper response would be to give the user some control over font size, or to at least follow the Dynamic Type guidelines. So I'm curious - are there people who think the font size used by Evernote is just fine the way it is, and would object to making it bigger, or allowing the user some control?
  4. Hi, It would be a great feature if the layout capture, on Evernote, looks like the Clipper web page. The reading will be easier. https://www.dropbox.com/s/60roa8ltnaeh61r/evernote-readability.jpg?dl=0 Bests, Thierry.
  5. I'm older, and I have a real problem trying to read light on black text especially, but all your pages, really. I would love it if we could have themes, including some that worked for those of us who need binoculars to read your pages. Thanks in advance.
  6. You can move a Note from one Notebook to another by using the drop down box at the head of the Note. in the dropdown box Notebooks are arranged under Stacks. Problem is - the name of the Stack appears in light gray text against a light gray background, ie unreadable. SEE screenshot attached. Suggest change it to something more sensible. Thanks.
