  1. I am a recent evernote beginner due to my part time job as a personal assistant. My boss has been sharing notebooks with me which up until this point has been very easy and accessible. In our most recent share exchange he shared a notebook with an microsoft excel attachment. He has a macbook and I have a dell pc. I am easily able to access the note and open the excel attachment. Upon opening, I open and after disabling the feature that says enable editing I am able to freely edit within the document. He says that his old assistant (another mac user) was able to edit click save and those changes were saved and translated into evernote. When I do, however, it allows me to make the changes and save; however, once exited, the changes are not reflected in evernote. In fact, once I click save I get a pop up saying "Document Title is read only. To save a copy, click OK, then give the woorkbook a new name in the save as dialog box." I need to forgo. I need to find a solution to make it not merely read only but editable so that I can click and it updates the changes to reflect in the notebook without have to delete the attachment in the notebook and upload a second attachment. Is there any way for me to open one of his shared notes and associated attachment by simply opening, editing, and saving? He does not want me to open, edit, and upload a new and second attachment. Any help/guidance would be beyond greatly appreciated!!!
  2. Requesting the option to flag notes as read only My workaround is to convert the note to pdf edited; There’s also a contentClass field that I can update using a script on my Mac
  3. There should be no " read only " lock on skitch documents. I NEED to add TAGS to my skitch documents or what's the point ?? Tagging is essential to Evernote yet skitch an Evernote product , you can't tag. Either inside skitch or inside Evernote .... I need to be able to add tags !!!! I shouldn't have to save my skitch as a jpeg then upload to add tags. Evernote is about convenience, not being able to tag skitch documents is unreal !!!!!
  4. Using the new Penultimate on iPad and trying and the sync functionality. It works well but one problem I've encountered is that all notes synced to Evernote appear there as read-only. This means I can't move the note to a different notebook in Evernote. Because currently Penultimate only lets you sync all notes to a single Notebook in Evernote, this means all my Penultimate notes, including work and personal, all end up in one Notebook. So I then want to move the work-related notes to my "Work" notebook in Evernote, etc etc. I'm not sure why the notes are marked as read only and I can't find a way to undo this. I think maybe they are read-only to preserve the syncing ability - otherwise if you moved the note maybe Penultimate would lose track of it, but there must be a way for the two apps to track a note across notebooks. I guess I'm requesting two features then: 1. Allow synced notes to be editable and / or movable to different notebooks 2. Allow per-notebook syncing of Penultimate notebooks instead of all notes syncing to a single Evernote notebook
  5. Hi... Tried EN many moons ago, then went with OneNote but EN's cloud and accessible anywhere features are bringing me back...Enough kudos... Is there a way to mark a note as "read-only" so I cannot accidentally erase or modify it? Thanks. Alex
