  1. Is there anyone willing to provide a comprehensive view on how they implement the Zettelkasten methodology in Evernote? Thanks
  2. OK this comes out of a recent Amazon purchase of 6 separate items, but might be applicable to other types of note... My normal process when buying something has been to copy the on-screen order confirmation and the inevitable email receipt(s) [I use PayPal] into a note with the title <date> - purchase - vendor - item so it's all together. Any subsequent emails get dragged and dropped from my Outlook inbox to the note via the desktop as separate little MSG files like this - ...the final delivery note gets added to the note and COMPLETE goes into the title.
  3. How to set the time limit for particular apps like whatsapp/telegram etc., on windows 7 and block them once the time limit for that day is over? There are extensions in chrome like Stay focused etc., but they are for blocking websites after time limit for that day is over.. Please suggest some free application to do the same with windows applications Thanks in advance
  4. Will it be possible to design something like this- Having Option to view only Highlighted/Bold/Specific colored text across all the notebooks/selected notebooks in the evernote account in a Single Note? [ I mean importing all such content required in a single note] Thanks in advance
  5. Hi there! i´d like to know if there is any template designed specifically for plannig and tracking one´s productivity. For example, imagine you are doing a proyect in your company and you have to finish tasks every day or in a specific date. I´ve seen that some websites like basecamp or trello, have a very good and attractive desings for planning your actions, but so far i haven´t found a similar way in evernote, or at least a simple one. If anyone could tell me whether i can find templates or how i could organize my proyects it would be very helpful Thank very much
  6. Hi, I want a new shortcut, like "shift+cmd+F" to search within the current notebook, instead of choosing from a Search drop-down list, which is slower than shortcut. Thanks,
  7. Hi, I keep a different note within my "meetings" notebook for the many different meetings I attend. In each note I am constantly using the "to do" check box to keep track of my take aways from the meeting and what I'm responsible for completing. It would be really nice if there was a feature that could be turned on that highlighted any notes that had unchecked to do boxes. This would help to make sure I don't forget to go back to a note to see what I need to do. If it was highlighted or popped up some kind of reminder when I opened Evernote I would know I still had a action item from a me
  8. Here is an article I wrote about my workflow as a CIO, which is heavy in Evernote. https://educationaltechnologyguy.blogspot.com/2013/12/my-workflow-as-cio-includes-heavy-use.html
  9. I have a pretty large way of managing my tags/ nested tags. I begin by creating categories of tags - herein my example is "Tags by Partners" Then I nest tags within those categories. However one thing I noticed is that when I nest them with the categories I made, they are not organized or sorted in an alphabetic manner - And there is no way to organize or sort them according to my own preference. I am using a Macbook Pro - OS Sierra by the way.
  10. I request a keyboard shortcut to search intitle. Currently I must type: 'intitle:' before most of my searches to get to Notes i specifically titled so I could find them lol. EG: I make a note called: work, & tagged: work. I search: work Other notes containing 'work' in their body appear before the one titled & tagged with 'work'. - I would prefer tagged/titled first if that makes sense? For now this dirty ahk does the trick to search titles (just made it, sorry if not working well for you) but it's not perfect and surely other people search titles?: !
  11. I recently discovered a quick way (though it may not be new) to post action items on Todoist using Evernote on my iPad for notes that I have captured and converted into actionable items. This is done by simply selecting the box with upward arrow in it and selecting Todoist as the app of choice. (It appears exactly like the one attached herein) I do, however, cannot find the same function on my Evernote App using Macbook Pro Retina. Is there a way to replicate this functionality, or am I just simply missing out something here? Thanks and appreciate your help! Cheers!
  12. Hello My problem : When we want to add a tag to our notes we must obligatorily type exactly each character of the latter and do not forget one. --------------Example-------------- For the tag "1.1- Next Actions" We are obliged to type the numbers "1.1-" ---------------------------------------- --------------- Solutions ---------------------------- 1- The best solution to deploy is to allow the recognition of the tag that we want to add even if we do not want to type the first character that composes it --------------Example-------------- To be able t
  13. I just read the book "Work Clean..." which explains the chef system of mise en place as a model for productivity and task management. I am thinking it could easily be implemented in Evernote and am curious if anyone has tried yet. There is an app specifically for this system, but I am determined not to use yet another app for task management.
  14. It worked yesterday. Suddenly, it isn't. I haven't deliberately changed anything, and it still works with other software, just not Evernote, which is where I used it most. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.
  15. Hey Evernote community, I like to annotate PDF's using Evernote. It's simple and quick to load on a laptop but it is a different experience on an Android tablet/phone. For example, a 44mb PDF through Evernote can't be loaded on my Nexus 9, but it can on my Nexus 5. Although, the latter took about 5 minutes to load and it is quite hard to read on a phone as well, let alone annotate. I was wondering if: I should still consider using Evernote to annotate on Android if there is a way of optimising my experience; or if I should just switch to another method, i.e. Dropbox/Ad
  16. Hi everyone! Firstly, evernote Rocks! Thank you for this amazing app :-) I find myself switching between notes very frequently, some notes are quite long, thus scrolling becomes very time consuming. The workaround is to keep the notes i access most, opened on a separate window - Clutter's my mac's workspace, but at least keeps my notes open on the last accessed position Would be nice as default function, else a selectable setting under preference. Please work your magic and keep evernote rocking :-)
  17. Sorry for the rude title but the auto completion feature is such a waste of time I'm tired with this feature (not only with Evernote desktop for mac). I've just lost 3 minutes trying to type in a surname correctly and I could'nt get rid of this stupid thing. I can't remember a sigle time where this feature actually helped me !!!!! What the hell are the evernote engineers doing ? Guys, grow up !
  18. For a couple of years now I have used Remember The Milk as my task manager of choice. My annual subscription is coming up for renewal shortly, so I wanted to see what other alternatives might be out there before I sign up for another year. The "killer feature" of RTM for me has been it's integration with Evernote Reminders. If I add a reminder to a note in EN, it automatically becomes a task in RTM. I find this incredibly useful if I want to mark a note for follow up or an action of some type in a few days or weeks. I did try Evernote for a little while as a task manager, but it was a bit
  19. First of all, to those who provided feedback on my first video... thank you! Based on some of the suggestions, I re-recorded the intro video, along with new slides, here: http://youtu.be/hN1qwOBxeM8 Additionally, I have added a second video, describing the daily review process:http://youtu.be/e1OWs3b1atc I'm hoping to tackle the Weekly Reflection/Planning video this week. As always, feedback is welcomed.
  20. Having tried GTD (even shelling out my own $ to attend Allen's training), Covey's Weekly Planning and Mark Forster's "systems, I decided to create my own system. So if you: Have a flexible schedule Don't jive with "next action" lists and pre-planned calendars Enjoy doing things moment by moment, but... Struggle with procrastination Give this a try! All I ask is that you provide feedback, ask questions, etc. Thanks!
  21. Not satisfied with the general offerings a la GTD and other systems, I've spent the past couple of years cobbling together a new productivity system. The current iteration plays nicely with Evernote, but there's a few open loops that I'd like to get feedback on. Also, I'd be open to any suggestions to improve the overall system. So... if you interested in: journaling Covey's 7 productivity in general Evernote (obviously) Send me a PM
  22. Hi there, I just started on evernote, I've created multiple notebooks, with seperate notes within. What I'm wondering is : within a notebook, where I've created multiple notes, can I create a new sub note from the note I'm in ? Many thanks for your help
  23. I use a 15" laptop to watch webinars and use Evernote to take notes. I'd like to reduce box size for the Evernote note beyond it's usual size, because it takes up too much real estate on the screen and I can't see the webinar clearly because of it. Is there something I'm not thinking of here?
  24. Hi I'am using the One Tab Extension in Chrome to close and store my open Tab's. With this I can clean my Browser and open later the sites on the old site. With One Tab on one PC this is working very well. The problem is if I would like to access this site (See 1.png) I can't because its local. So I thougth the easyet way should be to use web clipper for storing this side. But the message (see 2.png) is popping up and its not working. May be because this site is locally? Do you have any idea how this could work or any other good inputs. Thanks and Regards Martin Sch
