  1. im trying to print something, and i just want it on one page, but i cant make that happen because theres a half a page of the "info" for the "document" on the top of the page. i cant figure out how to just print as i see it in my screen, without that info. all im trying to print is a few cliparts for my daughter's project (and i dont have any other doc program).
  2. I think there is a glitch in the way Evernote goes from actual notes to "Print Preview" and actual paper prints. Here is a partial screenshot of my shopping list when using Evernote normally... oh wait, I can't attach it because the Evernote forum says that the max size of attachments is 0.01MB again... I'll try again later.
  3. I'd like to be able to print italics. It's not as glamorous as other requests, but it would be very useful. For example, every student who is keeping their reading notes in Evernote needs italics to cite journal and book titles. Every business looking at Evernote would require basic formatting. Those are two fairly big user groups right there, and there are likely others who would like italics, too. And, I think it fits well with the initiative that was started in 2013 and announced in Sept. 2015 to improve the editor. I think this is a new feature because you haven't supported italics since at least 2010. If you'd like to see other discussions about italics, please view these threads: Can you print italic text (9 Feb. 2016) Print & Font Problems (1 May 2013) Printing problems: font size, italics, and underlining (4 Dec. 2012) Printing Issue particularly Italics (31 Oct. 2012)
  4. I have a note that will take 27 pages to print. It starts from the end and prints the last 14 pages, then stops. Has done this repeatedly. I cannot print the first 13 pages since it ALWAYS prints entire note and stops at the same place. What am I doing wrong?
  5. When will the bug that doesn't allow text that I highlight or text that I underline to print that way be addressed? This has been going on for a number of versions now and I would think that this would be a simple fix? Is it being looked into?
  6. I have a default font set at 14pt Helvetica Neueueueue (which I believe is the default for the program) and I created a note and set the note's font to 18pt. I then type in a bunch of text. When I try to print the note it cuts off the right side of the text. It's as if the right most words are removed. There are no words cut in half. If I select all the text and change it's font back to 14pt it prints fine. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?
  7. Morning. When I convert a note containing tables and text it looks fine when I view it in Adobe but when I go to print it this is how it looks. I'm using mac but not sure if this is just a mac issue. I asked someone else to check it as well but she was using mac. It seems that the problem is to do with the scaling but I can't see where to stop that from happening. I am at least able to print the note to pdf in the meantime but if I share this converted PDF whenever anyone goes to print they will get this happening which is not good. Have reported a bug but wondered if anyone had seen this and fixed it themselves. cheers Helen
  8. Recently I've experienced some annoying issues with printing on the mac and presentation mode on both mac and iPad. The common thread on both platforms is that long lines of text are mishandled. When printing on the mac, long lines are not wrapped. Instead they are simply truncated. So a three line sentence is turns into a single line when printed, with the content truncated mid-word. On the mac, printing seems to have acquired an additional annoyance as well: font size appears to be ignored when printing. When I purposefully choose a large font, this is ignored when printing and I get arbitrarily sized small text when printing. Presentation mode on the mac behaves differently but not correctly when handling long text. Instead of simply truncating long lines, it does wrap the text but instead of word-wrapping, it indiscriminately wraps it mid-word. Presentation mode on the iPad is similar to the mac: long lines are not wrapped. Instead they are simply truncated. Part of this may the result of cutting text from other sources and pasting it into Evernote. On the other hand, shouldn't all this just work? Word-wrapping lines of text is really fundamental.
  9. Hi I'm running EN 6.0.12 and have a problem when printing notes. The problem is that long sentences gets cut off. In short, when printing, EN keeps everything in one line. The problem only seems to occur when working with bullet points. See image of a "printed" note (print -> save as PDF). What can I do to resolve this problem?
  10. Hi, Been using Evernote for years. I take notes all over the place, usually format them and clean them up when I get back to the office, then print them to PDF (Acrobat XI). Each time I go to print (this has been happening over years, including two different laptops), anything that is underlined doesn't look quite right in the printout or PDF. The underline actually goes THROUGH the text more like a strikethrough. Attached is a sample from a note (some stuff blurred out). I appeal to the great wisdom of the ages (aka Internet) to help show me the error of my ways or give me a good workaround. Any ideas why this is happening? My notes end up looking somewhat unprofessional whenever I want to use the underline. Thanks, Chris
  11. It would be helpful for me to have the option of printing either only the title or the full headers (which includes full date and location) when printing a note. Right now it seems that the only way to get the note title to print is by selecting the full header. While it makes the most sense to me to have this an option in the print dialog window, having it in the Evernote preferences would also suffice. Thanks, Mary Thompson.
  12. Our office uses Evernote as a digital filing system, but we still have a fair amount of printing that we have to do. We have been experiencing two significant issues with the 6.0 update and I'm wondering if there is any workaround other users could recommend until (hopefully) Evernote fixes this. Problem #1 - We used to be able to print notes in batches. I could select multiple notes, hit Command + P and it would print the ones that were selected. Not true anymore. Now it will only allow us to print the first one selected in the batch. Problem #2 - The vast majority of our notes consist of a PDF attachment (e.g. invoices from vendors), and before the update we could reliably hit Command + P to print the note, and it would print the PDF just fine. As long as the rest of the note was blank, it would ONLY print the PDF, which is what we wanted. But, after 6.0, we kissed that handy feature goodbye. Now the print preview shows up as a blank page, and 1 of 1 pages, so you can print just the second page. When you go to print, however, it will give you a blank sheet, followed by the PDF. Our current workaround for this is to open the PDF in Preview and then print, but this takes considerably more time and is a more disjointed workflow. Anyone else frustrated with these problems? Have a solution that you can post here? Any help would be appreciated!
  13. Printing works from the Windows boxes, but doesn't work from my Android tablets nor from my Chromebook? I always seem to have to drag out my laptop to do the final printing. Any way to just print from the tablet or Chromebook? Thank you,
  14. I am using Evernote 5.6.2, but this behavior actually started a few weeks ago. "Print Note" used to print my pdf's, but no longer -- just the words "pdf file"
  15. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can we have page numbering on printing a note. I have some long documents in Evernote and in WORD I would always include the document title in the header and have Page # of ## in the footer so if the pages get mixed I can always sort them out. Without this feature, I would normally have to reprint the whole document again! If not the page header then PLEASE at least give us the Page Numbers.
  16. Since I have updated my version of Evernote on Windows 7 to V 5.5.2.4187 highlighted text displays as highlighted but the highlight does not appear in print preview or in the printout of the note. I synced my notes and printed the same note from Evernote Version 5.5.2 (402634) on my MAC to the same printer and the highlights printed. They used to print from the Windows version too but not any more. I also believe that they did not print in the previous version of Evernote for Windows. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Has anyone discovered a work around for it. Has this been reported as an "official" problem to people who can do something about it? I'm afraid to update my MAC version now for fear that I will never be able to print highlighting on text ever again Bill
  17. Any word from Evernote on when or if they intend to fix the printing problem that's been going on for years now? Even with the new version that came out today, printing underlined or italicized text doesn't work from the Windows app. Underlines go through the text instead of under it, and italicized letters get cut off (see attached PDF printout), making it impossible to use the print feature to print notes you intend to actually use. Doesn't matter whether you print to a printer or PDF. (Printing from the web version is not a problem, though.) I'm a premium subscriber and use Evernote for both business and personal use. Although it's getting less and less frequent, I don't always have access to the internet, so printing from the web version is not always an option. I love Evernote, but not being able to print a usable note without an internet connection is getting to be a problem. Evernote.pdf
  18. When printing a note from Evernote I would love to be able to : Select which headers are printed, rather than just printing all or none. Change the layout of the page; specifically the margins, which are rather too large by default for my liking. If I'm remembering rightly, both of these things used to be possible when I used Evernote on Windows. Are they possible on Mac but I've just missed them somewhere?
  19. For some reason, I am no longer able to print my notes from the Evernote for Windows program. Also, when I go into "Print Preview" nothing comes up, and at the top of the screen it will say "Page 1 of 0." When I send a print job I don't get an error message - simply, nothing happens. I'm not having this problem with any other program, and I can print notes from the Evernote website. I'm running Windows 7. Is anyone else having this issue?
  20. I found a picture taken with my Evernote Note camera, using Samsung S4, and the picture looks good/appropriate. Then when in my laptop, Dell XPS, I click on the pic, Windows Viewer pulls it up in its own window, then I print, but it chops off the right side of the photo. The picture appears complete (right side is not chopped off), when it viewed EXCEPT for after going to print it (the preview also shows it chopped). Any suggestions?
  21. I am very new to Evernote, but am intrigued at the prospect of getting middle school students (who have MacBook Pros) to use Evernote as their science notebook, especially while doing a science fair project. I have read a bit on these forums about what seems to be a printing problem and while I understand the desire to go green and thus paperless, if students' work moves on to regional competition, their experiment notebook must be able to be in paper form for judges to read through. (They cannot leave their school system provided laptop unattended for two days--they'll need it during school.) I do not want to encourage students to keep their experiment notebook in Evernote if they cannot subsequently print it out. Can you please give me a clear answer as to whether or not they will be able to print their notebook, including whatever pictures of their experimental progress they have taken and embedded within their notebook? Thank you so much!
  22. Hi, I was wondering if there is any way of printing out an entire notebook rather than having to print each note off individually ? Many thank
  23. Hi guys, I got a real newbie question as I am just starting to use evernote. I have a note that I would like to print in landscape mode. How do I do that? I cannot find that in the "Print Note" menu... Any ideas?
  24. I am using Evernote with no problem except a printing issue. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion for this: When I print a note via Windows with networked printer, the printed copy shows abnormal underlines (for example with any hyperlinks or underlined note content) --- the underline prints on top of the word so it appears to be a strikethrough. Can't read and can't figure out how to remove the underlines. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!
  25. Is there a way to change the margins when printing an Evernote note? I use evernote for my lecture notes and have found that if I ever need to print a note (from my computer), the margins are ridiculously large. How can I make better use of the page and make the margins smaller?
