  1. I was happily attaching notes to photos on iOS 6.x. Updated to iOS 7.0.6 due to SSL bug, then downloaded latest version of Evernote. Now, every time I open a note with an attached photo, the app hangs for a few seconds, then crashes (the photo is never displayed.) Aack! This is my main use case! I'm going to have to find another app that can manage notes with photos reliably - can't afford this kind of fail. Is anyone else having this problem - and any known remedy?
  2. When I take a photo for a note it immediately saves 2 copies of that photo in the photo roll. Google Keep doesn't do that. Is there a way to remove this thing? Thanks
  3. Yesterday at work, I used Evernote iOS on my iPad to take notes about the places we visited, for work. I types details and took photos with my wifi iPad. Upon trying to sync the 6 notes, each of which is between 30MB and 70MB in size, it just won't sync. I'm now connected to 100meg wifi and it's been syncing all night (9 hours) and not one note has finished syncing. In addition to this, a note has duplicated itself and a note is missing. Which has happened without me touching that iPad. Evernote will not let me Share the note, and export it without crashing. I'm a Premium user and I had nearly 1GB of data left before the sync. I was meant to have this information passed onto a colleague three hours ago. I have the current version of Evernote on my iPad mini 16GB wifi only, model MD528LL/A, iOS version 7.0.6. Help.
  4. I seem to have a lot of trouble with editing photos in Evernote. I want to open a photo, crop it, and resize it. I have Irfanview, which I can open the picture with, but when I go to save it, it wants me to put it into a folder. Is there a free program that will edit Evernote photos, then save back to the note itself? As an aside, I think it would be nice for EN to have a more robust photo editor built in to the desktop version of Evernote - maybe Skitch for PC or something.
  5. Hi everyone, I started using IFTTT as an extremely handy automatic journaling tool by having it send Instagram and FB photos where I'm tagged into an EN note, but one thing concerns/confuses me and I was hoping someone here could provide insight. My initial understanding of this process was that any time a photo was created that triggered the IFTTT recipe, it would slap that photo in my note where I would have it forever with my other EN content. But there was one FB pic I was tagged in, which was added to my note, that was later removed from FB. To my surprise, it disappeared from my note as well. This makes me think the photos are just "linked" to outside sources and their existence in my EN account are dependent on whether or not they exist in their original location. That would make its use as a journal tool far less functional. Is this correct, and is there any way around it? Thanks for any help you can give me. It's easier to get help here than from IFTTT.
  6. When will we be able to re-sequence the photos placed in a note from our Android smart phones? Tech support told me this capability doesn't exist. If I'm adding a 4 page User Manual by taking a picture of each page and one of the photos needs to be retaken when I retake the photo and edit the note I'm stuck with pages (my inserted pictures) out of order.
  7. I have 1 picture per note (they're photos of exercises) and I want the full picture to show in the thumbnail. But, each thumbnail is zoomed in and crops out a lot of the image. I have the Windows Desktop version, and the Android version on my tablet and phone. Thanks.
  8. New user to EN. What is the best/easiest way to incorporate photos from iPhoto to an existing Note on my Mac? Thanks
  9. When I opened the account I didn't want Evernote to have access to my media (pictures). I have changed my mind since then. There is a message saying that I can change this in Settings. I can't find the way to do this! Can someone please help me!
  10. Hello all, What is everyone's favorite app for quick capture of photos? I know the new iOS app has a quick capture option but it's still not that fast (even on my 5S). In the past, I used CleverSnap which let you take a photo and instantly save to Evernote, location data included. Lately though it's failing to upload all the photos I take. Suggestions please!
  11. I'm not sure if this intended behavior or not but after upgrading to version 3.0 skitch no longer allows me to select an image stored in my camera roll. It only allows me to select a photo from the photo albums I've synced from iTunes. It does not have access to my camera roll or photostream. I've checked in restrictions and "photos" is allowed. anyone else running into this? I've performed a hard reset of my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, not sure what else to do from here except google for this issue and I haven't come across anything yet.
  12. Hello, I just used Evernote to make copies of an old document. I probably snapped pictures of about 20 different pages. When I got home, I went to look for my photos and they were not there. This is the first time that I've used Evernote to take a bunch of screen shots at once. The photos do not seem to be anywhere on my phone. Are they recoverable? What did I do wrong? I don't remember having to save each and every single page, but in the past I've only used it for a few pages at a time. This is the first time that I relied on it in this way. Ellen
  13. I suspect this has been asked a million times but after extensive searching on the forum and Google, I am still not sure of the answer. With Evernote Web app, running on Windows 7 and Google Chrome, can I grab a photo from a hard drive file and drag it into a note? If not, is there any way to do this, other than drag and drop? Thanks, Terence
  14. G'day, I am trying to reduce the size of my photo's in a note that have been taken with my I phone. After searching for help it told me to go into account>Note editor>Image size. I can not seem to find any thing remotely linked to this. can anyone help please?
  15. Hi everyone. I posted a while ago regarding a searching by tag issue I had encountered in Evernote Business and was very pleased with the helpful response I received, so thanks again and I have come back! This is a much more general topic - please excuse me in some parts, I am not overly techie! So, a bit of background: I work for a medium sized business with a sizeable picture library (I'm talking 20,000 pictures at a guess). We currently store all our pictures as jpeg files on Windows, in a structured folder system. This works well if you know exactly what picture you are after and where it is stored, but less well/terribly if you don't as there is no way to search. The result is a very inefficient, time-consuming trawl through the picture library to locate the file. We have recently begun trialling Evernote as a Digital Asset Management system to hopefully enable us to store our pictures in notes and tag them appropriately so they are easy to locate. We have uploaded a small portion (500 pictures) and assigned relevant tags and we are very happy with how much easier Evernote makes the searching process. Pictures would be uploaded in one central business library by the administrator (myself) and then shared out to around 50 users who can then search and use the pictures. However, we have come across some potential issues, and I would like to get some second opinions on whether or not Evernote is the right programme for us to use before I upload thousands of images. Please note that for the most part I am after opinions and understand that definite answers may not be possible until we actually put it into practice - I know this Our first problem is with stacks. I was keen to arrange pictures in stacks that resembled the current folder system we have, with the tags providing a secondary, more powerful search function. After trialling it myself and reading this forum, though, I know that stacks can only go one stack deep and then cannot be shared to other users. Have people found this too limiting? Will one notebook with 20,000 separate notes in cause us problems - will it be slow to load or sync, and do you think 20,000 pictures in one library would be difficult to navigate? Secondly, as images are uploaded into Evernote, we insert them in to the note and then when we wish to use them, we seem to have to save them back as a file on to the computer itself to then use it how we wish. Do you think this is an impractical use of Evernote, and in this sense is it more suited for personal photo storage rather than corporate use? I am concerned that staff will get fed up of re-saving their most used photos on to their desktop and will just keep them there, bypassing the Evernote system. Thirdly, have people encountered problems with employees being able to alter notebook names on their own account? Has anyone else used Evernote similarly, as a Digital Asset Management system? What were your experiences/thoughts? Apologies for some of the poor explanations, please ask if anything needs clarifying. Thanks very much!! Sarah.
  16. What is the best scanner to digitize 10,000 photos? Want to upload some to Evernote as well. Does anyone use Evernote to back up photos in conjunction with another photo app?
  17. Hello there, i have the problem, that lots of photos i insert in Evernote are too big. I am looking forward to a tool, that i can choos the size of the pic and put it smaller (or bigger) direct in Evernote ... So i must not select a lot of other programs to do that. Greetings
  18. Hi, I'd like to export all the photos in one notebook (to import them in lightroom). Does anyone know if it is possible to export all the photos in a notebook in one, easy procedure? I'd hate having to do that one by one. Thanks! Jurriaan
  19. Hi everyone, I'm posting this on behalf of one of my students. I teach English here in Osaka, Japan and am an avid Evernote and Mac user, just like my student. She often takes photos of the whiteboard of my lessons with her iPad 2 and then puts them into Evernote. She has an iPhone and a MacBook Pro. The pictures seem to sync with her iPhone no problem, but with her MBP some of the photos are coming out reversed. I realize there is no rotate feature for photos built into Evernote on the Mac. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing and if so, do you have a work around? Thanks, EmceeLito
  20. Hi gang, Any recommendations on the best to way to get a lot (I'm talking thousands) of photos into EN? (Everything else is going into EN, so I figure the photos may as well go in too). My plan was to have a stack. Top level called Photos. Individual notebooks inside the stack for each "event". The problem I'm hitting is that if I add multiple photos to one Note, I quickly hit the 50Mb limit. So, one photo per note, but dragging and dropping puts multiple photos into a single note (where I hit the limit). Is there a way to drag and drop and for each photo to create one note? I don't fancy individually dragging thousands of photos into individual notes.
  21. I'm trying to create a note by sending an email. Everything seems to work correctly with one exception. When the mail contains a photo, it always appears in its original size. I use evernote especially on my android phone and images uploaded by other means are always resized to the screen (same thing when viewing them from my pc). how can I make the images sent by mail "resizable"? thanks for the answers and forgive my bad english ..
  22. Hello. I'm new to Evernote and searched the forums for this topic without success. Is there a way to make images (.jpg, .png, etc) not appear fully displayed when you click on the note? I have some saved images that are NSFW and I really don't want them displaying in large size when I do a search. I know that with pdf files you can elect to view as an attachment, and so I was wondering if there was something similar for image files. Thank you for your help.
