  2. I want to protect my Evernote images (i.e. photos and saved with Evernote, business cards that were photographed with Evernote, photographed documents and cataloged in Evernote, etc.) so that they do not get deleted when I batch delete all the other images in my iPhone's Photos app. (Since I am using Lightroom which automatically copies my iPhone photos and syncs them with my desktop photos, there is no need to keep my iPhone's images.) Is there a way to identify which ones are tied to Evernote and then protect them? Thanks! David
  3. Not sure what I have done. Before I could take a scan then send it to photos on my iphone. Now that option seems to have disappeared? I can share the scan to message, mail, notes, gmail, evernote but not photos? My airdop is turned on. What I normally do for some scans is to transfer them to photos so I can have more editing control.
  4. Hi, I recently used Evernote on trip where I was taking some photos and also writing notes under them. Workflow on Evernote it's now quite easy for this kind of work. I really liked that when you take photos, there is list of photos and you can easily delete some photos before saving them into note. But it can still use some refinement. My main problem was ability to get cursor under photo to be able to write there my notes, specially if it was last photo on page. Usually I had to create few empty lines under photo, so it's easier to write there. And after some time (sometimes few minutes, sometimes longer) whole Evernote started to be very slow and I had to restart it. I was creating fairly big notes, because there was even 40 photos (large size) in one note. Main problem was battery drain, if I didn't brought battery pack with me I would not be able to use it at all. When I used it first time, it drained battery on my iPhone in 1,5 hour, then I turn on "synchronize on wifi only" and battery life improved greatly (it lasted about 3hours), because I was not on wifi. But still I had to charge iPhone at every possibility to get through whole day. I did synchronization only in evening when I was on wifi. At the end of trip I was satisfied, because I was able to use it, even with those problems, but if you improve it a bit, specially battery life, it would be better. Thanks
  5. Can anyone tell me how I can send a whole notebook (of photos that I have scanned in) to iPhoto ?
  6. I cannot figure out how to resize photos (jpegs) in evernote- I do not want full page photos in my school notes. Using windows 7. I must be missing something Really simple!
  7. Hello, I use document scanner i Evernote Android App on my Samsung Galaxy S3 to scan receipts almost every day. About month ago or so - scanner started behave differently. Now it loses focus in camera almost every time and scans are very blurry. I tested document, postit and business card scanning - all they get blurry images. Only normal camera mode (also in Evernote) works fine.
  8. Hi, I've not had any issues with Evernote in the 2 or 3 years I've had it, but today I attempted to merge approx. 60 notes (each with a single image in the note) and Evernote crashed. I've been force-quitting many times but the same thing happens every time. Evernote starts then within around 10 seconds I get the spinning wheel and have to force quit/. At one point I did mange to select 'Check for updates' before it crashed and was able to update to the very latest Evernote version - but this still crashes the same. I'm running latest version of Yosemite. Update: I've managed to delete the note that I think was causing the problem and En has stopped crashing but now EN desktop continually tries to sync and appears to be looking for the deleted file.
  9. I have been using Evernote for years, collecting photos in the field. I noticed recently, Evernote is no longer (also) saving the full size resolution photos within my standard photo album. Instead Evernote saves my photos to another folder, and the quality/resolution is horrible. So all photos I have taken recently are worthless, unless viewed on a small device (500k file size). Am I just having a problem "finding" the full size photos on my Android device? I do not care about the size/quality within the notes, but I need a full resolution photo for future use within other programs. Thanks in advance for any help
  10. When I was attending a lecture I was taking notes and taking photos of the projected data on my iPad . It worked fine for six photos and I could add relevant notes immediately after each photo. However, after the 6th photo the Evernote camera icon disappeared and in addition, I could only add notes by inserting them at the beginning of my Evernote note rather than at the end of the previous notes. The iPad camera still worked so i now have the photos in the iPad photo library but not inside the Evernote note. 1) Is there a limit to the number of photos you can add to a note? 2)Why would Evernote not let me continue typing at the end of the note ? There must have been plenty of memory because I could still take photos with my iPad and could insert text at the beginning of the note refining all the following material but could not add them at the end. Similarly I can attach photos taken with the iPad camera icon to transfer the photos to the beginning of the note in Evernote but cannot insert them at the end. 3)The attachment icon in Evernote displays the photos too small to work out which one is which. I cannot read the text on the projections photographed . How can I increase the size in the attachment icon to large enough to read what is on the projection so I can select which photo goes where? 4) How can I insert the photos at the end of my text if a cursor will not appear there? The cursor will only appear above the last photo . 5) How can I delete one of the photos I do not need in the Evernote? If I tap on the photo it enlarges and then the only 3 options in the top right corner are the @ sign, the arrow to show next photo and the box with the arrow which is for sharing, copying or printing etc. There is no option to delete one item in the whole as far as I can see. I could only find the Delete option for the whole document in the three dots above the whole document. I would really appreciate some help Thank you
  11. Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and I apologize if this has been brought up by someone else previously, but I did not find anything on this. Anyways, clicked on "Add to Photos" and iPhoto opened up with my edited picture uploaded there. The logo in Skitch itself, when pulling in the dropdown menu to share or save your work, is indeed the new "Photos" icon. Thanks, Rob
  12. Dear Evernote team, I really appreciate your work and also like the idea of optimizing the ui to get a more minimalist feel. The reason I had to switch back to the old ui, was because I am missing features to work with pictures. The job I wanted to do is sharing pictures from another app to evernote. - worked flawlessly Viewing them on my Display. (These were photos of worksheets, I haven't got the original of) Beacause they weren't large enough I wanted to magnify them and zoom in but it's not possible (yet). Then I wanted to make notes directly on the worksheet, so I decided to print them out. But I couldn't find any way to get an reasonable print preview nor the possibility to download the picture on the site or in the browser drop-down menu. It's locked in its view when not using browser intern development features to bypass it.So the features I'm missing are: zoom picture / change size in the notedownload picture / open picture seperatedprintThanks again for your great work!
  13. Hi, when i want to uplad a selection of photos from the photolibrary of my iphone, evernote photo browser does not show all the images of my photo library which makes it impossible to upload those few pictures which are of interest for my note. This for the use I make for evernote is critical. Can you please solve? Thanks
  14. Although Evernote isn't designed to be a photo album, it can be convenient to keep photos in Evernote. I'm an iPhone user and have photos organized in albums, but those albums don't sync with my PC or my Kindle Fire; I can't view them on the web, either. I like to use Evernote for as many functions as I can because it syncs everywhere. I created this flowing system for getting photos into an Evernote photo album: I told Evernote for Windows to monitor a particular folder and to add anything in that folder to an Evernote Photo Album notebook. I use Picasa on my PC to organize photos. When I want to add photos to my Evernote Photo Album notebook, I simply export those photos to the Windows folder that Evernote monitors, and with Evernote magic, the photos are added to my Photo Album notebook. I have Picasa export the photos at 800 pixels rather than full resolution, because I don't need full-sized photos in Evernote -- and also, full sized photos eat into one's Evernote space allotment faster. Later on, I organize photos into nested notebooks under my Photo Album notebook. That's it. You can adapt this system, such as it is, to other photo organizing programs, should you not use Picasa. There's also an IFTTT recipe that automatically copies photos from an Evernote iOS photo album to Evernote, https://ifttt.com/recipes/104765. That works well, too, for going directly from iPhone or iPad to an Evernote photo album. I like having my photo albums available everywhere I am, and now with Evernote they are. Bill
  15. Skitch always worked perfectly but now it won't open photos from my camera roll or any other album. It's the new Skitch and my iPad has the latest upgrade to the OS from Apple. I click on a photo and nothing happens. It's odd that I can "pull" on the photo and make it fill up the whole screen, but it doesn't stay. It snaps back into place in the album. What can I do to fix this?
  16. Hi, I think I have an interim solution to the thumbnail problem, though I am only adding one picture to each note for the sole purpose of putting images in the notes list. There are two things going on when EverNote selects an image to use in the notes list. First it selects an image (the largest of the smallest - which I haven't tried to figure out yet) and second, it scales the image such that only the center portion of the image is displayed. This is the part that I fixed, well sort of at least. So if you are like me and just want an image in your notes list then this will help you get there. The result will look something like the image below: To get this I use paint but any photo software will work, I essentially scale and crop the image till I get something that is 252 pixels wide by 107 pixels high. I then I insert and center that image in a white rectangle that is 480 pixels wide x 256 pixels high. Something like this: When I am all done the image looks like this: Next I insert the whole image (image and border - 480 pixels wide x 256 pixels high) at the bottom of my note, though I am sure you can insert it anywhere, and Voila your Notes in your notes list will have a perfect little image in them just like this: I know it is not perfect but it is a place to start. Perhaps the EverNote Gods will see fit to grant us our wishes and allow us to just select an image to use in the notes list and possibly insert it without complicated scaling routines. Perhaps they will also grant us the option to choose - random picture selection like it is now, or user selection the way people seem to want to have it. In the mean time we will have to use intricate counter measures to get the images into the notes list though for now I am reasonably happy with the solution even though it will probably work with only one image in the note - as far as I know at least. Cheers and happy note taking, Sierk
  17. On my Galaxy S4, every photo that I've uploaded to EN - via the EN native app, by the way - is added to an album within the S4's "Gallery" app. If I've synced my EN premium account, can I safely delete this album from within the Gallery app? Or will that delete all the photos I've added to EN notes, causing them to disappear from the EN app?
  18. I have been doing a "One-A-Day" photo notebook of my daughter and used different methods to get the photo's into the notebook. Each note is a different day and contains one or, usually, more photo's of my daughter. I try to capture them with the photo note option on evernote for android, but sometimes share them from android, email them or drag and drop from windows. I've noticed that some of the photo's are a smaller thumb-nail type which displays well on the note preview, but most of them are a gigantic photo that covers the width of the screen causing me to scroll to see the picture. I guess that I cannot figure out the proper method for getting that smaller thumbnail-esque view. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks
  19. By any chance would anyone happen to know if there's a way to manually rearrange the notebooks in evernote, notice every time I try to rename the notebooks it auto resorts them out alphabetically. Was wondering is there a way to completely turn off auto sync too for the iphone evernotes app. Many thanks in advance.
  20. Hi - On the Desktop EN client in Windows 7, I have uploaded 21 jpg photos totaling 41.9 mb. It's been about 6 hours now, and they still do not all appear in the note. About 8 or 9 are there, and there are blank spaces where a photo might be as I scroll down - and even an "Annotate" button upon hover-over in these blank spaces, but the photos are not appearing nor do they seem to be loading. **I have viewed this on the web, and all 21 photos DO appear! It's key that I view all on the EN for Windows client, because I need to annotate the photos using the internal Skitch annotator. I'm using Evernote for Windows 5.4.0.3698 GA Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks! Darren
  21. When I use the "Win + A" command to "copy the selected section" all information and formats are saved but not the photos. In many cases this is a good thing, but in some cases you would also want to include the pictures. This is a new problem and I don't know what triggered this. Any suggestions for help and troubleshooting?
  22. I have accidentally pulled up this feature before, but I cannot duplicate it by double tapping, dual touch, triple touch, tap and hold, etc. How do I save an image within an Evernote note to the camera roll? thanks!
  23. As a mechaincal designer, I often am out surveying a job using Evernote premium to both store and view the floor plans. I like that I can markup that pdf with text and arrows, etc., but I also really want to append a photo to that pdf. For example, an arrow would point to a location on a floor plan, and I would have a photo plopped on the pdf showing what is there. I am pretty sure that "Notability" for iOS can do this. Can Evernote do this now, and if not is it planned for the future?
  24. Hello! The photos I attach to each evernote are currently stored on my device memory and I would like to change the destination to my sd card. Is this possible? If so how would I accomplish this? Thank you in advance for your help.
  25. Hi! I tested so many apps but I can't find the right one for me.. First of all, my problem: I keep taking tons of pictures on the go to remember stuff, but because no photo capturing app with Evernote integration is fast enough or even has the necessary features, they alle end up in the iOS camera roll. Then they get synced across all my devices into Photostream and when I finally get to importing them into Evernote and deleting them from my iPhone, they still remain in my Photostream until I have time to manually check and delete which are already in Evernote and which aren't. So what I have in my mind is a separate app in which I can take those pictures which should end up in Evernote. They don't even get to the camera roll. Then later organize them by cropping, combining then into groups/folders and finally creating new Evernote notes with multiple pictures with title, tags an maybe some text. The ultimate features would be adjusting the jpeg compression ratio and resolution, and retaining the GPS coordinates! An alternative would be all of the above but without the Evernote part. Just the possibility to easily get them to my mac and do the rest there. Hopefully someone has some tips, many thanks in advance!
