  1. I have an Evernote scanner that is scanning photographs as pdfs. How do I correct this problem by having the scanner scan photos as jpegs? It used to do this automatically, and I can't find any settings to control this.
  2. Whenever I take a picture within a note on my iPhone 6 plus EN crashes and I have to reopen it. Its not a huge deal because my photos and content are still there when I reopen EN app but just a little irritating. If enough users are experiencing the same thing can't EN staff fix this issue with an update for us? Should I contact them directly with issue? If so how do I contact EN staff directly with this issue? Faithfull EN user, D
  3. My Moleskine notebook document photos are distorted! They are readable but the sentences curve down to the right like the paper was very curled when it wasn't. Uninstalled on iPhone 5s and reinstalled. Still does it. So, then I tried my iPad Air. Same thing! So the problem must be with the image processing at Evernote. Any ideas?
  4. Hi, I want to scan text found in 20 different photos I've taken of a martial arts handbook, and convert the text over to plain computer text, to store in Evernote for later studying. I've typed a few pages on my own, but there is too much content. Is there anything that can help me do this, and for free? I'm not a business executive or anything, just a home user with a temporary need.
  5. Hello, I really welcome and appreciate the addition of the Photo Rotation feature, it's been very useful to me, but I've been having an issue- When I rotate a photo, In this example it was a photo of a business card ( I copied and pasted it into the note twice for this screenshot) The photo came in portrait, and I needed it to be landscape, so I rotated it counter clock-wise in the proper direction and as you can see it rotates the image but keeps the previous aspect ratio essentially squishing all the information and making it un-readable. I can't imagine it's supposed to do this! Anyways, I believe I found a bug, is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!
  6. Hello there! I just got my first EN premium subscription and I am on the one hand very satisfied with the document seach, but on the other hand some things don't work out the way I imagined they would. 1. Is there any guide to handwritten notes, like "how to write" blockletters for instance to help the servers to identify your handwriting? For instance a normal "i" is not recognized and I don't know why. Is there a guide on how to write so that chances are higher your hand written notes are searchable? 2. For taking photos of receipts for instance: Is it better to use the Evernote iOS app (camera function within the app) or a third party app like a scanner app which saves the receips as pdf's and sends them to EN? When I try to search for receipts some words found in photos taken with the Evernote iOS app are marked in yellow, but the same receipt scanned with a scanner app and saved as a pdf is not marked and doesn't always show up in search. And again I have no idea why!? --- I hope you understand what my problems are? Anyway take care and all the best! Oh and thanks for any help
  7. Can't capture moleskin pages in iOS7 update. Slider in camera tool not working. Help.
  8. I have noticed that every time I take a photo using the Evernote widget on my Android phone, the photo gets saved on the phone itself. I do not want this i.e. whenever I take a photo starting with the photo tool in the Evernote widget, my goal is to capture it in Evernote and save it as a Note in Evernote. That's it. I do not want that photo to be saved on my phone. Is there a way to turn this OFF? All I want is capture photos and upload it when I take a snapshot/photo starting from Evernote widget.
  9. Hi! We just released a new version of the Cooliris mobile app yesterday with support for your Evernote photos, which means you can now access all of the photos from your Evernote on your iPad and iPhone in our stunning Cooliris 3D wall experience. Would love for you all to try it out and let us know your feedback on this initial integration. Some cool features in the app: We integrated Evernote search so you can easily search your photos using the name of the image, note or notebook, and also using the text recognition search feature to find any text of handwritings in your photos You can share your Evernote photos directly to Facebook or for more private viewing, send them to a group of friends or anyone in your family in private conversations. You can also easily transfer photos across multiple services. Bulk save photos your Evernote photos to your iPhone/iPad, Dropbox or Google Drive as you wish! The Cooliris app is free in the iTunes App Store. To connect Evernote to the Cooliris app, just tap the [+] icon on the home screen of Cooliris and select Evernote. We love to hear your use cases for how you use Evernote to collect photos, and any features you think would be kickass for the Evernote experience in Cooliris. Also, quick survey - should we add Business Notebooks and Shared notebooks for the next release? Would love to know how many Evernote users would want to see this! Cheers,Derek
  10. I know there is an option to adjust this in the cameras settings but that doesnt change anything.. had this problem in another camera app, too, so its obviously my phone what bugs around My phone: Samsung XCover S5690 with 2.3.6 Gingerbread Has anyone got a tip how to fix this?
  11. Used to be that when I created a note by dragging a photo out of iPhoto down to my EN icon on the dock, the new note used the location data from the photo. Last night, I tried it for the first time since moving to EN 5 (the direct download, not the Mac App Store version) and moving from iPhoto to Aperture, and although the location data shows up fine in Aperture, the Evernote note location kept coming up with my home address. Short of inputting the correct location by hand, is there a setting or other method of getting the location data from the photo into the note?
  12. Hello - New to evernote and penultimate; trying to solve a work problem. What I want to do is have someone take notes and photos in the field and then send them back to the office. This is easy with penultimate and evernote. What I can't seem to figure out is how to remove the embedded photos from penultimate. I need the actual photos as well as the notes with the photos. The intriguing thing is evernote will save photos to the photostream, but penultimate doesn't seem to do this. Any options for pulling the photos out of penultimate? Also, I'm talking about 100's of photos per day, so cut and past, screen capture options won't be effective. Thanks.
  13. Evernote is amazing! So i think that Evernote should develop a new product such as EverPhoto / EverVideo where you can save photos/videos to print so that we have one place for everything (Notes, Photos, Videos) and we don't need SnapFish/Flickr etc. What do you think?
  14. Half or more of my Facebook posts are photos, and a lot of those are pictures of my kids and their various projects. I also have had a notebook for a while dedicated to pictures of my kids and their various projects, but haven't been particularly organized about adding pictures to it - it just wasn't a big part of my EN workflow or my photography workflow. What I needed was a way to import the pictures I already thought were worth sharing and add them automatically. The web service If This, Then That can automatically create an Evernote note when you post a photo to FB, with a copy of the caption and a link to the photo on FB, but for some reason can't include the image itself in the note. For several months, I used that as a "good enough" option, but it wasn't really, and a couple of weeks ago I started paging through the available options at IFTTT.com to see what else I could come up with. After some trial and error, I realized I could set IFTTT to automatically email my Gmail account a copy of every photo I posted to FB, with the image, caption, and link, with a subject line that included the name of my EN archive notebook and the tags I wanted to attach to the note. Once I had that going, I set up a filter on Gmail to automatically forward every message from IFTTT to my Evernote email address. Works like a charm. If you aren't using IFTTT with Evernote (and lots of other services), it's definitely worth checking out. Lifehacker ran an article about it a few months ago that gives just a few examples of what you can do with it, and another specifically about using it with Evernote.
  15. I currently keep most of photos and videos organised in Picasa, but I'm looking into moving at least some of the most important ones to Evernote because it's just going to make them easier to access. I'd like to add some of my photos and vids (at least about couple thousands) to Evernote and it's important that their metadata such as created date is retained so I could sort and review them by date. Is there any way to do it? I know I can just import them from a folder and then manually edit created date of each note, one by one, but that's not practical. I could edit hundreds of notes manually if I absolutely have to, but not thousands. It would be very nice to automate the process. I mean files already have created date so there should be some way to automatically add it to Notes as created dates.
  16. I love the fact that you can shoot multiple pages. Although some pages are distorted in a bit of a strange way, it is pretty convenient. I need a way to actually see the sharpness of the images after I shoot them and before I confirm that they're good (with an ability to zoom in). I know you can enter the viewing mode and see all of your pages- but that view is totally pixelated and there is not way to determine if the image is readable. I would also like to have a convenient way of reordering these pages (currently only available on desktop in a really old fashioned way) and reshooting them (as opposed to deleting and shooting a new page) if they I didn't get the shot right.
  17. Hello, I am fairly new to Evernote, and love it dearly so far. I have found many useful things in the "Trunk." But, I'm still in search for something, and maybe you can help. I'm looking for something that will take my pictures i put into evernote, and convert them to PDF, so I can select and copy text. Let's say, I take a picture of a homework assignment, and I need to copy a portion of the paper. If I just take a picture, the text becomes searchable, but you can't select it, at least not that I know of. Do you know of anything that can help me in this area? Thanks!
  18. Anyone looking for a picture editor in Android might want to look at this (courtesy of LifeHacker).. "All the usual tweaks are here: cropping (custom sizes and standard print sizes), adjustments of brightness/contrast/saturation/sharpness, flip or rotate the photo's orientation, red-eye removal, teeth whitening, and blemish removal as well as more advanced effects like auto-enhance, night-enhance, and the ability to draw or add text to the image. There are also a few effects packs available such as the Grunge effects and Nostalgia effects packs that add Instamatic-like photo tweaks." I have no connection with the app..
