  1. I using the Pen Ultimate at present. Sense of the writing is good. It is advantage of the Penultimate, that it penetrates the essence of the iPad handwriting and simplifies functions with great degree of integration consisting of several important parts rather than various cumbersome and complex functions, and I know why it is called the 'PenUltimate', and I experience the integration of that admirable endeavor. In particular, It was advantage that it allows me to concentrate on researching or handwriting of ideas only by deleting the function of extension of pages. Now let me tell you what I think I want to complement or add more. Penultimate, with simpler functions, and with infinity of given papers, led to me feel free but soon afterwards, continuous repetition of passing of pages faster than several times of that of the A4 paper makes me feel cumbersome. So my proposition is, that we remove the concept of passing page, by the button, but introduce the concept of 'infinite single page of infinite length', which will be turned over by smooth scrolling down at 'any moments'. Then spreading and writing of ideas will obtain enormous freedom. I suspect that it will be some kind of revolutionary function of pen application compared with that of the Unlock by pushing, of the iPad. It will endow the Penultimate with powerful competitiveness in future pen note market although it is on near of the Ultimate.
  2. Hi, I love penultimate, but when I am using it at the desk and my hand rest on the ipad while writing , some time I hit the next page area with my wrist and pages are starting to flip while writing. could you move the page turn touch area to the top of the page instead of the bottom Sorry for this , found how to move it.
  3. I'm sure someone has asked this but I didn't see the subject in the forum. Can someone answer for me if there is a way to project my ipad2 and penultimate for "whiteboarding" through a HDMI pico projector? Or must I use a VGA pico projector? or can this be done at all? I think most pico projectors are HDMI. It would really be awesome in meeting rooms where I need to whiteboard things on a wall but they don't have a whiteboard. you will save ppl from death by powerpoint if you answer this for me. thank you. consider yourself a lifesaver.
  4. Is there any secret to using the wrist protection feature when using the stylus. Whatever I seem to do I end up with squiggles all over my notes where my wrist sits.
  5. I use my email Inbox as a way to track and complete task's. Anything that's in my inbox needs to get done. I'm excited about the possibility of being able to take notes in Penultimate,. rather than my notebook, and then emailing specific notes as tasks to myself. The only thing holding me back is that when I receive an email in my work email (Outlook), the note I created shows up as an image attachment. Obviously, I would rather not open up a bunch of email attachments to remind myself about a task. Is there any way to format the email from my iPad and Penultimate so that when I receive the email in Outlook, the image of the note automatically shows up in the body of the email rather than an attachment? Thanks for the help.
  6. Please add SugarSync integration with Penultimate. I think there are a lot of people like me who prefer SugarSync to Dropbox, and it would be awesome to be able to back up notes that way.
  7. I bought the Galaxy note 10.1 and I installed Evernote, I think they should incorporate Penultimate for Android as soon as possible, because the program does not develop its full potential
  8. The two finger scrolling action is so habitual now that I would like to see it on Penultimate. This would be a quicker action and eliminate the mistakes I make when the scrolling action results in lines drawn across the page. Thanks.
  9. Is there a way to make an automatic sync with dropbox only when my ipad is connected to wifi network? I cant afford to make a bakcup each day (50 mb) with my 3G data plan.
  10. Help. I have been using Penultimate for a while and have just started using Evernote and I can not get them to sync. I have Pen* set up under the settings to be linked to my evernote account. It even sees my folder structure when i assign what folder I want my notes to sync to. I have unlinked and linked again. uninstalled the app and re-installed. Am I missing a simple check box? Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
  11. I have used penultimate for the last 5 months and have gotten great use from it. However, I sometimes let my stylus rest in one place too long for penultimate's taste. Consequently, the pic I have been marking up lifts from the page and moves. I have to stop my train of progress and press undo to put it back. Is there a way or could this be put on the new feature list to, either add an option to change the delay time before the pasted image lifts OR a 'Freeze' option to prevent it from ever lifting from the page while checked? Thanks. schunk88
  12. Nearly 2 months have passed since Evernote's announcement of Penultimate's acquisition, but do we have any idea what they are doing? 2 months is a long time to wait with little or no news, especially (this is my opinion here) when writing on the ipad with a stylus/finger is more of a hassle than a convenience. Am I just blind and not seeing the announcements, or have both companies been really quiet outside of the initial announcement at the beginning of May?
  13. we still cannot open a PDF in Penultimate to make some handwriting comments and then send the doc by email. this is a great feature you have on UPAD
  14. I was following a forum regarding use of a stylus with Pentultimate. There it mentioned a discount when purchasing a Pogo stylus through inside the app. When activating that link it goes to a dead link. Is this offer still available and if so, how do I go about taking advantage of it? Thank you, Jack
  15. Hi Is there a way to edit photos once you have put them on the page? Just moving them round, or making them smaller? Ajax
  16. In meetings, I just don't see myself typing notes on the iPad. I would pay for premium if it included support for handwritten notes and napkin style drawings. esp. If it included handwriting recognition.
  17. I have worked with Tablets and used them for over 10 years.. I enjoyed OneNote and the inking ability from meetings versus the chatter of a keyboard. I'm very surprised that Evernote hasn't removed the middleware of inking natively within Evernote. This is a major gap and causes most users to use PenUltimate, Awesome Note, or any other suite of apps that are out there... While I understand that a mere change in their offering could canibalize the ink software apps.. the feature is very overdue... I used ritepen instead of the windows input panel and it was solid... but MSFT had an edge.. I use Awesome note but Evernote has the edge.. I hope that Evernote will see this opportunity and capitalize on it and include ink in Evernote natively... otherwise I and many others will continue to struggle with managing the middleware solution and just deal with the gap.. Thank you for your support and for including inking on the next update!
  18. In case you hadn't heard, we have big news! We're incredibly proud to announce that Evernote has acquired Cocoa Box, the minds behind one of the iPad's best selling apps, Penultimate. What does it all mean? Cross-posted on our Noteworthy Blog from Cocoa Box: So basically, lots of magic. Feel free to post your responses below, or create your own threads on Penultimate. Find the (slightly) earlier announcement on our blog here.
  19. Interesting features: Tips are retractable, rotatable, replaceable and only 4mm wide. That's half the width of my other stylus'. I preordered and they ship in July. http://www.cultofmac.com/167391/hand-stylus-comes-with-retractable-replaceable-tips/
  20. Would like that feature from the PC version where I can handwrite a note on the iPad version. Would have to have some of the features that other handwriting iPad apps have, such as palm support (i.e. resting hand doesn't write on the note), ability to add typing text and pictures, and perhaps even recorded voice into the same note as well. That would make a great Christmas gift Thanks.
  21. Instead of Skitch, what I would REALLY like to see is something like this: In Evernote, when I click the button to add a new note I have the opportunity to say my note will be typed or hand-written. Typed would work as it does now. But hand-written would allow me to hand-write notes during my meeting, extending the page as long as needs be. When done, I would expect it to make the round trip to the Evernote server and do as much OCR/indexing as it can now with JPG files. An alternative would the the option in a note to open a hand-writting window within the note where I could do as noted above. Bottom line: I want to take my iPad to meetings and take notes in Evernote. Currently I use Lifescribe for this, but with that I have to transfer to Evernote.
  22. Penultimate got updated today and they say it has Evernote integration. I don't know what that means, and despite it's beautiful interface, I find this to be inferior to other handwriting apps (when will it get zoom and better character quality in pdf exports?), but you may want to give it a try!
  23. I love EN. It's the best way I've found to organize and access my notes. However, I seem to find that EN's capacity for creating notes, especially on iDevices, is falling farther and farther behind. For audio notes, there's not really anything complicated. You hit "record" and talk until you hit "stop". Coupled with the Voice2Note service, EN does okay here... but only when coupled with some kind of dictation service. (I wouldn't find audio notes worthwhile if I couldn't search them, no matter who's app created them.) What's the state of the union on handwriting? Penultimate? Inkiness? Can anything on the market export ink notes to EN in a form that EN's image OCR supports? Better yet, does anything on the market support true 2-way sync of ink notes with EN? It would be great to jot a handwritten note and save it, then be able to search the text in EN, then be able to later go back and edit the note again. What about rich text? Essay by Holtwick Dirk? I don't need Pages, but a couple of header levels, bold and italic, maybe a few font sizes, bulleted and numbered lists... And what of apps like "Mental Note" and "iNotes"? These appear to be great apps for creating notes-- especially mixed-content notes-- but is there any way to get those notes into EN and have them searchable (especially the handwritten portions)? Has anyone actually tried out either of these two apps? I am constantly bragging about EN's "access anywhere" features and search features to my friends. But I'm finding it harder and harder to get my ideas into it. Without data, the tool loses value quickly. I'm just wondering what efforts or alternatives there are to address this. [Edited for grammar.]
  24. I've been using Penultimate to take notes on my iPad and sending the PDF to Evernote. Everything has been great except, when I search Evernote never seems to identify my handwriting in the PDF's. Now I don't have great penmanship, but it's by no means illegible. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any ideas? Thanks.
