  1. Is there a way to remove notebooks but yet keep them in Evernote? Seems like if you delete one in Penultimate once it syncs with Evernote it deletes it there. My concern is will multiple notebooks eventually fill my iPad? What do you do then? Thanks!
  2. Hi, Since Penultimate and Evernote are integrated, my dream would be able to take handwritten notes (iPad) on a Evernote document (report, slides ...). This would allow to use documents distributed for a meeting and take notes onto it before/during/after a meeting. Evernote would then be able to search into the text of both the document and the notes in overlay. I think this would be the ultimate note taking capability on a tablet. Regards
  3. Other than posting a job description for a developer, is there any progress on penultimate for android? It's understood that the company wants to avoid speculative commentary but could you at least tell us if before the end of the year is a possibility with a relatively high probability or if that would simply be wishful thinking?
  4. Would be great if Penultimate would sync handwritten notes with audio like Livescribe does. Does anyone know if this type of feature has been suggested before and/or if its under consideration?
  5. Hi. It will bee greate whit a futura where you can import PDF,DOC og PPT ind the notes.. and write on top of them... So you can sit at a meeting an make notes on the material form the meting. David
  6. Hello - New to evernote and penultimate; trying to solve a work problem. What I want to do is have someone take notes and photos in the field and then send them back to the office. This is easy with penultimate and evernote. What I can't seem to figure out is how to remove the embedded photos from penultimate. I need the actual photos as well as the notes with the photos. The intriguing thing is evernote will save photos to the photostream, but penultimate doesn't seem to do this. Any options for pulling the photos out of penultimate? Also, I'm talking about 100's of photos per day, so cut and past, screen capture options won't be effective. Thanks.
  7. Been using Penultimate for a few days now. It's great, but a few functions are either missing, or I can't find. Many have been talked about in other threads, such as syncing, tagging, moving to different Notebook in Evernote, etc. The things I haven't seen before: Can you crop images? I can't find a way. An invisible layer over the current page. There is talk of "highlighting", but I'm thinking of an entire invisible layer you can on which can be easily removed/hidden and will not change the layer(s) below. Think Layers in Photoshop. If these are available: Please let me know how to use them. If these are not available: Please make them available, then see "If these are available:" above.
  8. Hi, I have been an avid Evernote user for years. I love the ability to know that the note I'm taking right now will automatically be synced to my other devices and be available everywhere. Well, I have been doing more with drawing and hand written notes lately. I was excited to find Penultimate. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the integration with the overall Evernote system. It appears that in order for my penultimate notes to be synced to my Evernote account I need to manually send the page/notebook to Evernote (yes, I've linked and everything seems to work). My request is to add a function where I can opt in to have my penultimate notes automatically sync to my evernote account/devices without any intervention just like a normal Evernote note. I understand the issues of not being able to edit the notes once in Evernote...but I'm willing to live with that. I just want to be able to take a note...any note...and have them automatically synced to my Evernote account and all devices. Thanks!
  9. I like to use penultimate. However penultimate currently does not support any kind of syncing. Is there any plan for bringing syncing solution to penultimate in the near future?
  10. In my company, we use Penultimate to take notes of meeting. We would like to have the possibility to tag an area as a task. Consequently, it will be necessary to have a way to list all tasks of all notes with a check box to indicate if the task is done or not. It will be very, very useful! Consider that none of the note taker on IOS do that... Yvan
  11. I love Penultimate. It is the best handwriting program I have tried, and I have tried many. However, there are several features I would like to see that would make it great, especially for business meetings. 1) the program needs a record option. I would love to be able to take handwritten notes during staff meetings and record it as well. This would help in reviewing tasks assigned, etc. 2.) a typing/ text option would be great. There are times I want to make notes on a picture or graph and type as well as draw an arrow, etc. 3) a convert writing to text option would be a good feature. Although unlike a few of the other programs, I would like to able to convert a page at a time.
  12. The two finger scrolling action is so habitual now that I would like to see it on Penultimate. This would be a quicker action and eliminate the mistakes I make when the scrolling action results in lines drawn across the page. Thanks.
  13. Is there a way to make an automatic sync with dropbox only when my ipad is connected to wifi network? I cant afford to make a bakcup each day (50 mb) with my 3G data plan.
  14. I have used penultimate for the last 5 months and have gotten great use from it. However, I sometimes let my stylus rest in one place too long for penultimate's taste. Consequently, the pic I have been marking up lifts from the page and moves. I have to stop my train of progress and press undo to put it back. Is there a way or could this be put on the new feature list to, either add an option to change the delay time before the pasted image lifts OR a 'Freeze' option to prevent it from ever lifting from the page while checked? Thanks. schunk88
  15. we still cannot open a PDF in Penultimate to make some handwriting comments and then send the doc by email. this is a great feature you have on UPAD
  16. In meetings, I just don't see myself typing notes on the iPad. I would pay for premium if it included support for handwritten notes and napkin style drawings. esp. If it included handwriting recognition.
  17. I have worked with Tablets and used them for over 10 years.. I enjoyed OneNote and the inking ability from meetings versus the chatter of a keyboard. I'm very surprised that Evernote hasn't removed the middleware of inking natively within Evernote. This is a major gap and causes most users to use PenUltimate, Awesome Note, or any other suite of apps that are out there... While I understand that a mere change in their offering could canibalize the ink software apps.. the feature is very overdue... I used ritepen instead of the windows input panel and it was solid... but MSFT had an edge.. I use Awesome note but Evernote has the edge.. I hope that Evernote will see this opportunity and capitalize on it and include ink in Evernote natively... otherwise I and many others will continue to struggle with managing the middleware solution and just deal with the gap.. Thank you for your support and for including inking on the next update!
  18. In case you hadn't heard, we have big news! We're incredibly proud to announce that Evernote has acquired Cocoa Box, the minds behind one of the iPad's best selling apps, Penultimate. What does it all mean? Cross-posted on our Noteworthy Blog from Cocoa Box: So basically, lots of magic. Feel free to post your responses below, or create your own threads on Penultimate. Find the (slightly) earlier announcement on our blog here.
  19. Interesting features: Tips are retractable, rotatable, replaceable and only 4mm wide. That's half the width of my other stylus'. I preordered and they ship in July. http://www.cultofmac.com/167391/hand-stylus-comes-with-retractable-replaceable-tips/
  20. Would like that feature from the PC version where I can handwrite a note on the iPad version. Would have to have some of the features that other handwriting iPad apps have, such as palm support (i.e. resting hand doesn't write on the note), ability to add typing text and pictures, and perhaps even recorded voice into the same note as well. That would make a great Christmas gift Thanks.
