  1. Is anyone else having trouble with this? I've got a Palm Pre PLUS and the Evernote App (1.3.6 - free version). But the app continuously slips into "Offline Mode" despite having full bars on wifi and a complete full mobile access (on Verizon). I can't find anyway to control whether Evernote is in online or offline mode. So bascially, I can't access any of my evernotes from the App, rendering the App useless. No problems accessing the mobile website: http://www.evernote.com/m but don't like its interface and it's inability to move from one notebook to another. Also, the problem seems to occur regardless of my perferences setting for "Require Wifi"
  2. 1. switch on the 'wlan needed' setting 2. open the notes you want to see offline 3. switch off your wlan connection 4. for every open note switch to 'edit-view' and go back (changes are not needed) Now all these notes can be found in 'pending uploads' until wlan is available the next time. I admit this needs a bit planing ahead, but therefore it is a workaround .
  3. I've had all the same problems that everyone else has described here. Data loss, blank notes loading, etc. I am a premium user and now...let me check...yep...evernote has been trying to start up on my pre for the past ten minutes. It won't even open now. It will however, make the phone hot enough to burn a hole in my leg while it goes into online mode but it won't ever stop starting and just go to the notes. It's obvious that Palm is a dying animal here but is there any way that someone can fix this amazing app run on this slow death machine? I'm desperately seeking a way to make it work. It won't work whether or not I'm on WIFI or just 3G. it just hangs. I restart....nothing different.
  4. Just wondering if we'll see any updates for the Palm Pre version of Evernote. I hope so.
  5. Come on Evernote you have a great product on the PC, and I have been using Evernote since before it's current configuration even, maybe four or five years, but we need a platform for webOS that does justice to your other builds.
  6. I have a clipped web page note that I created on my computer. It shows up on my Pre but I can't seem to navigate to the page. Any suggetions? Also, how do you add a web page from your Pre to Evernotes? Thanks!
  7. I didn't see any way to save audio from my Palm pre. Anybody know how to do this?
  8. I'm unable to login to my EN account on my Palm Pre. Not even one single time, every time I get an undefined error, see attached screenshot. Re-installed the app - same thing. Tested it on WiFi and on 3G - no luck. This is a German Pre. Any suggestions.
  9. I am quitting using Evernote today. Why? Repeatedly, my notes open up blank on the Pre. The tool is useless when it does that. It stays thus for days or weeks at a time. I've gotten little response on this forum. Sure, it's free software, but isn't the "free" there to entice me to the "paid"? Not likely with this performance. Sure, there are workarounds, but I got Evernote so I could avoid workarounds. Nice tool, useful concept - but it has to work!
  10. Evernote folks, in the interest of bringing things back to a positive note, here's something you should think about. Consider it free marketing advice... HP plans on putting webOS on its Internet-connected multifunction devices that print and scan. That means, the Evernote client could relatively soon be running on millions of devices with built-in scanning and print capabilities. Come on, seriously, guys: how can you miss the incredible possibilities here? If I were you, I'd be pouring resources into the webOS client, and working directly with HP and Palm to integrate into their marketing plans for the new devices. Evernote could be the premier information management application running on devices that are part of an integrated family of connected systems: smartphones, tablets, netbooks, and multifunction devices, all running webOS. Are you seriously just sitting back and waiting to see what happens with webOS "post-HP"?
  11. Can someone from Evernote please tell me how I can cancel my Premium service, since it appears the company has decided NOT to support the webOS version (current customers are saying they're losing data and Evernote has publically said the platform updates are "on the back burner"). I can only find in settings how to Deactivate, but until webOS is completely supported I want to DOWNGRADE back to a free account. Thanks in advance.
  12. I travel a bunch to places where there is no phone or internet access and I want to be able to access my notes without having to be connected. Is that even possible? Is there an ability to save my notes in cache and view and edit them and have them sync back up when I'm back connected? I could REALLY use this feature.
  13. I found evernote because it was listed as one of the top 25 apps for Palm Pre. I loaded it up and created a few notes and was quite impressed. Today I put together a big list of stuff that I needed at the store, I did a sync on the phone to make sure the list was there and then set off. Once at the store, I fired up evernote to look at my list. There was no data reception available in the area, so evernote was unable to connect and I couldn't get access to my list. What is the point of a "Sync" option that doesn't actually sync? Anyway it would be a great app if it actually created notes and stored them. In reality, it is just a web browser that can only look at the evernote website and constantly uses my phones data plan when there should be no need. If and when it becomes possible to actually store notes on the phone, it will be a useful app. For now, it's just a web interface and a waste of space on my phone. Does anyone know of a similar app that actually stores the data on the phone?
  14. After upgrading to the latest version of Evernote, I get a message that memory status is critical and too many cards open when I try to open Evernote. It takes forever to open and tries to open several notes simultaneously. The Pre is nearly inoperable and must be reset. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any solutions? Thanks.
  15. The Evernote app on the Palm Pre has overwritten some of my notes with older versions of the note on a couple different occasions. I get the feeling there is a note "stuck" in a certain state on the phone, pending an upload, that somehow overwrites the old version. I did not get conflict warnings when this happened E.g. I've had a note called "Todo" which I update almost everyday. I stopped using the app on the Pre for a couple weeks (due to the cards coming up blank issue) until today, when I used it to view another note "Shopping List" (which was a ***** shoot -- they oftentimes come up blank, though this time it worked). When I came back to my desktop Evernote app (latest OSX version) later the "Todo" note now contained old content from weeks ago, very likely from the last time I've used the app on the phone I suspect the blank card bug is related to this one -- the "Todo" note is certainly one that has come up blank on the phone many times before. I hope Evernote is fleshing out these issues on the Palm Pre app ASAP. I've now lost some of the data on my "Todo" note -- data loss sucks, it's unacceptable. I'm losing faith with this as the solution for my notes
  16. When editing a note, if you scroll down about a page and a half, below a certain point the background is grey instead of white. Probably not the biggest issue with the Pre client right now, but it annoys me.
  17. I noticed this in the first Evernote-for-Pre release, but I figured/assumed/hoped it would be fixed in the 1.0 release. I've been using a less secure password for months because Evernote-for-Pre doesn't allow me to log in with my preferred password. I just tried again with the more complicated password I prefer, and it still fails. So: still an outstanding bug that Evernote-for-Pre doesn't work with passwords with non-alphanumeric characters?
  18. I am having all kinds of issues with (syncing pending notes created on my mobile, loading, online vs. offline mode) and am figuring I should probably just uninstall the app and then reinstall it. But I can't figure out how to uninstall for the life of me? Does anyone else know?
  19. My Evernote Mobile on the Pre was giving me the "failed to sync pending notes". There were about 5 or 6 notes in the pending folder. I could not get them to sync after rebooting the program, etc and I noticed there was an update for the version I had. So I updated the Evernote client on Palm Pre to 1.0.0. Upon completion I notice that the pending folder was EMPTY! I checked on the desktop client and they were not there. So it seems the update wiped the pending folder. The Evernote client does sync fine now though....just don't know what happenned to those notes in the pending folder before the upgrade? Any help or idea are much appreciated.....maybe those files are in a cache somewhere...
  20. Everytime I try to install evernote, it fails, makes me reboot, and says install failed. This is on webos 1.4 What other info can I give to help debug this. Thanks!
  21. Hi, I'm not sure this has been mentioned before - but I looked, and I haven't seen it. I use Evernote for many things, and the Palm Pre app works well for me. However, one thing I would like to see is an additional view option for a Title List, like on the mobile website or the desktop app. That would be in addition to the thumbnail and metadata views. One thing I use Evernote for is as a list manager, and being able to see just the titles would help a lot. Because of this, I frequently find myself using the mobile site instead of the app. Thanks!
  22. I just got a replacement Pre this morning and Evernote failed to copy over onto my new Pre. I tried to go to the app catalog to download it, but it does not appear regardless of whether I try to search for it or if I scroll alphabetically. Is this a known issue?
  23. The features list on the website for the webOS app says, "You can also add existing images to your notes." Can I do this on my Palm Pre? Because that's pretty much what Evernote is saying on their website. I don't see how, though, as I only seem to be able to add tags and texts to existing notes in the app on the Pre, and images that are added to notes on the desktop don't even show up in the notes when viewed on the Pre.
  24. I had two notes in which I've noticed that what seems to be the last line of the "Details" section gets cut off, as if that area isn't given enough of a height. Both of the notes had titles that went onto a second line. On the first one, there was no location, so I think the last line was the tags; they were cut off so that I couldn't read any of them. On the second note, there was a location, so I could read all the tags, but the bottom part of "Created at: ..., US" was not visible.
  25. Evernote on my pre starts quickly but when it starts loading the thumbnails it slows to a crawl. I think a way to fix that is to make it an option to not load the thumbnails on startup.
