Greetings! I forward emails to my Evernote. This is the majority of info that I store in Evernote. I created a notebook, named it "New" and made it the default thinking that everything that I emailed into Evernote would go there first and I could sort it all out later and move notes into the appropriate notebooks. It worked for a little while but then Evernote started started to put emailed notes wherever it wanted to which was usually in the wrong place. Now I have to go into the subject of each email and add "@New" to make sure it gets into the "New" folder which is a pain and eats time

I've searched the forum and haven't yet found a straightforward answer to my question: is there any reason I shouldn't switch from the Evernote smart moleskin notebook to a regular moleskin notebook of my choosing? Every other post caters to the opposite question of why one should use it and the features it provides, and they're all at least two years old or more. Before selling me on the merits of the Evernote Smart Notebook, save the effort. I am already a longtime user, and I am fully aware of its features. I discovered Evernote itself when I went back to school 7 years ago, and I woul

I understand the desire to keep Penultimate a separate app. However, there is a big gap in functionality, when you have to create separate notebooks for the same project. Evernote's writing capabilities are not to the same level as Penultimate, but I cannot directly add a Penultimate note into an Evernote Notebook. The closest equivalent is to find that Penultimate note in Evernote, and then link that note in the Evernote Notebook. The simple solution would be to make the Evernote Notebooks available to Penultimate, and add the ability to create handwritten notes in those notebooks. That

Hi! I need to re-organize my Evernote and can't seem to find a way to move more that one note at a time to a new notebook. I am on Mac. I tried "Command" click but that won't select more than one note at a time. Is there a way to do this?? I have 100's of notes I need to move to a different notebook. TIA! - Chel

In the most recent upgrade to 6.0.6.1769 (301769) I cannot figure out how to move notes from my personal account to my business account. I used to be able to do this in the previous version and now that functionality has been lost. Is there a solution to this? I work are a construction company where we all share our default Personal notebooks so that we can see each others photos while out in the field. We all use our Personal notebooks to take pictures and then we file them in the appropriate business notebook when we have time to organize things. We seem to have lost the ability to do t

Nesting Multiple Notebooks / Creating Sub-Notebooks
CreativeSoul replied to cswsteve's question in General Feature Requests
Dear Evernote Forum, I am using Evernote since 2 years now and now I am feeling that I am missing a function within EN. Sometimes I want to write long texts within Evernote (like Texts for a Blog or even a book), but I want to chop up the scenes in to different notes. That results in a lot of notes which have to be organized within a notebook. Therefore I would like to be able to have notebooks within notebooks. So generally I would like to be able to have a notebook with limitless folders. Right now it is only possible to have a notebook with several folders. But the folders in the note -
I know this has been a recurrent subject: many people ask about syncing in two different computers. My issue with this matter—which I think hasn't been talked about yet—is why can't we select which notebooks to sync on each computer. For example: I have a home pc with more space than I can use, and I have a notebook which I use at college. I'd like to have access to certain notes in this particular notebook, but I don't want to download everything in there (it hasn't got that much space, and is also shared by many members of the family). Moreover, I'd there are many notes which I need for a pa

Suddenly I can't see the Notebook and tag list in the left panel as I usually do. The left panel is now blank. I tried closing and reopening Evernote. I've never had this problem before. In the View menu, Show left panel is checked. But when I click on Show Notebooks or Show tags, nothing happens, the panel remains blank. I'm confounded!

How exactly do tags work in shared notebooks? I am working collaboratively quite often with new users (Who I often make download and use Evernote). Suffice to say I am ussually doing most of the organisation of notes for them, to have some kind of order... The setting are users can: view and edit. I know I can tag notebooks any way I like... 1) Do they see/have access to my tags? Or Am I only one who can see the things I tag? 2) Can they add tags on a shared notebook? And if they add tags on my shared notebooks... Is it only for their eyes? Or do we all have the shared tags they decide

Yesterday my Notebooks displayed in the Left Panel suddenly appeared in non-alpha order. I am using the Evernote software on a ThinkPad, which I have used successfully for over one year and never had this happen before. I have logged out of my account, Quit Evernote from the hidden icon tab, even deleted the software from my computer and re-installed the program, but each time the Notebooks appear in a random order. I do not have this problem on the apps on my iPhone and iPad - the Notebooks are listed in alpha order, even after several syncs. Does anyone know how to restore them in alpha orde

I really like the new(ish) x-callback-url scheme which allows me to quickly create a new note with a title and body text from Launch Center Pro on my iOS device. I'd like to know if I can specify the tags and notebook for notes created via this URL scheme please? I know that this is possible via IFTTT, but I imagine that is passing in these parameters via the API - I'd like to know if this is possible (or planned for the future) just using the URL scheme? Thanks

I have been looking around for this, but I have not found the info I want. I have been using Evernote quite extensively and I just changed jobs from consulting to a job with a single company. I use Evernote to track everything in my life from work stuff, to a second business to personal data. I can image life without it. Until recently I have been consulting with several companies and I have separate notebooks for many of the things I did for them. I want to use Evernote in my new full time job, but I do not want my personal notebooks and my past client notebooks to sync to my new compan

Hi Everyone, Sandy here.. This is my first forum post. So, please forgive the question if it seems I should know it. Q: Is there anyway of making my list of Notebooks Alphabetical? I've gone thru the help files and didn't see this. Thanks in advance for your kind help. Sandy ----------------------------

I share a couple of notebooks with a small team of 3. We use these as a kind of knowledge base. It works pretty well. One problem scenario however, is that all of us have "read/write" access to these notebooks. I put some quite important info in there sometimes and in my testing, they are able to (accidentally?) delete a note and it does not wind up in my trash. It is simply purged from EN completely. Is this the way sharing is intended to work? I would much prefer if notes deleted from a shared notebook (by any user) wound up in the "Trash" folder. Any comments?

I want also to put one note into multiple notebooks. I have reviewed previous discussion on this, and the general advice is to use tags. Getting beyond the multiple issues associated with tags (taxonomy gets really complicated with multiple tags over a period of time), having one note in multiple notebooks simplifies sharing, such as a public notebook and a private one. Hope you can consider doing this, just as photo sharing sites allow one pix to be associated with multiple albums!! Nick

Hi guys, Just a quick query, I know you can create Note Links, but is there any way or if not any plans to allow Notebook links. Let me explain Our EN structure is a Notebook for each project/lead (I know the arguments about Notebooks vs Tags but it works for us ). In each notebook there is a Main Project/Lead note listing all the details of the projects/lead. We also have a Master Note that lists all the projects, leads etc and it is like an index so we can see at a glance where we are up to. At the moment in the Master Note, we have note links to the Main project/lead note, but it woul
