A while back I accepted an offer to "share" a notebook. I would like to discontinue doing so. I have tried to delete the Notebook and erase the shared notes but I cannot. How do I turn this spigot off?? Thanks, Bill

Hi, I shared a Notebook with a new user. The new user is able to see the Notebook and the notes tags. However the user doesn't see any tag in the Tags page, see attached screenshot.

Hi. I get this annoying modal dialog in the current iOS app now every time I move a note to a shared notebook. Guys -- I know this is a shared notebook. I created it. I shared it. I even know what it means to share something with someone. Please quit treating me like an infant. At least give me the ability to turn this off (if it exists, I can't find it in settings). Very few things in life should ever cause a modal dialog, and this isn't one of them. Thank you.

It would be nice to be able to collapse the stacks in search mode. I use search mode for quick notebook swaps because it takes up minimal screen space when taking notes. Currently other stacks take up plenty of space when they aren't being used in this mode. When I write notes in EN I enjoy having both the list of notes open as well as the smallest possible way to switch to a different notebook. I usually have a lecture opened to the left and EN on the right for a given screen. For this reason, I collapse the Left Panel, where you can collapse stacks and jump between notebooks.

I am just starting to use Evernote. When I first got the program with my computer Win 8.1), I played around with creating a notebook and writing a couple of notes. Now that I am trying to set up the program more seriously, I find I cannot delete that folder. While traveling last week, I used my Win 10 laptop to create a new folder and put my notes in it. Unfortunately, I do not have a smart phone. I also do not have access to high speed internet (yes, it still happens in rural areas!). So here is where my problem starts. I tried copying my notebook to Evernote on my desktop. I found a way

Hi everybody, I'm about to unshare a notebook I used to share with a colleague. Inside this notebook we both created notes. I'd like to know: 1. will the notes created by my colleague be still there once I unshare the notebook? in other words: will they become "only mine" once I unshare? 2. will I be able to share again the notebook in the future? 3. is there any other point I should care of before unsharing the notebook in order to not lose data? Thank you for your replies. Have a nice day Daniele

Please bring back GRID VIEW for notebooks
singhr85 replied to ericwicklund's question in Evernote for Mac Requests (Versions 7.14 and under)
Hi, The list notebook view is extremely bad. I can just go use Asana or MS Notes if I wanted this view. The best part about notebooks is to visually see notebooks and have them stacked. This is a major step back. Please allow to revert back. Thanks -
I like that the notebook's snippet view has an image thumbnail (if image is loaded). But the image changes based on most recent upload? It would be great if you could determine and lock the image. Use case 1: I have a notebook for all of my clients, that has my discussion notes, crucial profile data, etc. I would like the thumbnail to be my clients' logos. Makes them easier to identify. Use case 2: Put profile picture of a contact. I have notebooks to keep notes on my clients and try to get familiar with them.

Hello. I'd like to say that I didn't appreciate too much the change on the user experience when selecting the Notebook for a note. (Version 7.15) Before, it showed last used notebooks, but not anymore. Besides that, current screen takes a long time to load so user has to wait before being able to make any choice. I currently have 185 notebooks grouped under 15 notebook groups.

Hi all I've had a quick search of the forum but wasn't able to find what I needed. I am an Evernote Plus member. I have created a Notebook that contains various notes, all catalogued by a series of tags. I've just shared the Notebook with my supervisor but she's not able to sort the individual notes by the tags, which was the whole point of doing it this way. Is there a workaround for this or have I wasted a colossal amount of time? At the moment I've given her my login details so that she can see all of the tags but this is obviously not an ideal situation. Thanks Sione

Hi, I was unable to find how to link bunch of notes to a stack. Currently I am a basic user and I wanted to maintain 2 Notebooks - 1 for work and other for personal. Problem is I can able to create a stack in Work section where as I was unable to create in personal folder. But I saw some pictures where people are using multiple folder structures in their evernote. Any help would be highly appreciated. Attaching the images for easy understading. If you see here there are multiple folders under Prasad Chitti I can create and multiple notes too. where in My personal I ca

Well, I suppose the title says it all but I would really appreciate the ability to collapse or expand all the notebook stacks at once rather than clicking each stack individually. Thank you!

2 years ago, a teacher shared a notebook with me and a dozen students. The teacher still works here; she is the owner. For some reason, I find I can neither delete or leave the notebook. I also can't delete myself as a member of the share. Is my only solution to ask the teacher to unshare the notebook with me? I seem to remember that I could leave other shared notebooks in the past... Any ideas? Mac Desktop App vs. 6.12 beta 2.

When home, I mostly use #EverNote on my desktop, sometimes it will not pull up my notes. Right now my #MainNoteBook, which has 55 notes in it, has a funny symbol beside it...maybe a download symbol??? And no notes are accessible. On the positive side, I can create new notes. I just cannot search notes. What is going on?

Sharing a Notebook with a non-user in unfriendly format
rebREorg posted a topic in Web Client Issues
[Writing on behalf of a client] When he shares a note with a non-Evernote-User, they get sent to a web page which displays the title, text, attachments very nicely on mobile. When sharing a notebook with a non-user (for a group trip), they get sent to the Evernote website in a browser on mobile. Not easy to read (tiny text) and a pain to go between individual notes. Is there a way to make this a more user-friendly format? Would be an easy win to possibly get new users if sharing a Notebook was formatted beautifully for non-users. They'd be impressed with their Evernote savvy friend a -
It would be nice to be able to create/add a new notebook in a stack right from the sidebar context menu, rather than having to navigate to the Notebooks screen. Switching contexts is painful. See the screenshot...along with "Expand Stack", why not have "Create Notebook"? Also, it would be nice to be able to drag around notebooks between stacks right from the sidebar. Why do we need to go to the Notebooks screen each time to do this? I think it's way more natural to be able to manage notebooks right from the sidebar where you can see the structure clearly.

So I have read a few different posts that imply it is possible to have different note sort orders by notebook. Example Notebook 1 have the notes within sorted by title in reverse order and Notebook 2 notes sorted by created in regular order and Notebook 3 notes sorted by Updated in reverse order. No matter how many ways I try this it sorts every note in every notebook the same way. Any ideas or help would be great.
