  1. Hi I am updating my devices and have always loved the special page camera for my Moleskine evernote book. When i updated my phone and ipad this seems to have disappeared? Also on my phone, when i hit camera, it only lets me photograph, not use the document function. My ipad has just crashed altogether with evernote and wont work. I had allocated notebooks to the stickers in my moleskine but they dont seem to be working anymore? help i have to present at school next week, why we should use this app.........
  2. My Moleskine notebook document photos are distorted! They are readable but the sentences curve down to the right like the paper was very curled when it wasn't. Uninstalled on iPhone 5s and reinstalled. Still does it. So, then I tried my iPad Air. Same thing! So the problem must be with the image processing at Evernote. Any ideas?
  3. Using Evernote 5.5 on Mac (OSX 10.8), I see that exist a option (at the end of the drop-down menu) to search for notes that contains Post-it notes, but do not exist the same to search notes with Moleskine notes. Why? I think it would be useful to have this option too.
  4. Hi, I've bought the moleskine/evernote smart notebook and I would like to use the 3 months premium account. I go to http://evernote.com/partner/moleskine/, insert the code that I've found on the last page of the notebook, sign in to the existing account, click the ACTIVATE button, and I've got this message: " Unexpected Error An error occurred while redeeming your gift card. Please try again later." contact support It's been 2 weeks that I'm trying to do that, and I've send a lot of messages to the support via the "contact support" button, but nobody contact me... What can I do? Thank you in advance
  5. Coming up on year's end, I am going to be archiving 3 Evernote Moleskine Notebooks that I have amassed over the last year. I would like to optimize my notebooks/notes as much as possible, so I wanted to see if there were any suggestions or best practices on the following: OCR: Is there a limit on the number of pages I can OCR at once?Would you scan in an entire notebook as a note, or break it up in some other way?Tags: Other than using the smart tags, has anyone found a good way of making topics (self created text tag) searchable? I have tried using the hashtag (#tag) and that doesn't work as an option. To Do's: Does anyone use this feature to manage their real life to-do list? Thinking about it, but not sure if it makes sense. Thanks again! Bryce
  6. I've been an Evernote user for about a year but never actively used it. Today I thought about how I keep Moleskine journals to document my life and how useful it would be to have all my journals archived with Evernote. It's a tedious process, I could either transcribe everything or take advantage of the document camera feature with the Evernote app. I chose the easier route and started snapping photos of each page of my very first journal. Has anyone else archived their journals using Evernote? If so do you have any tips? I'm kind of worried about the limit of how many notebooks and notes you can have but hopefully that'll increase before I ever get to that many notes.
  7. Hi, I'm trying to use the stickers in my Evernote Moleskine Smart Notebook, but it's not acting very smart. The images just sync to my default notebook rather than the notebook that I've specified them to go to. Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.
  8. I have been using evernote for sometime now (just touched 250notes), and have been an admirer of moleskine notebooks. Recently I was gifted the evernote moleskine smart notebook. I also have just ordered a moleskine weekly planner. Looking for ideas to use these products together in daily life rather than just for those special notes.
  9. I would really like to give some of these as Christmas presents. Does anyone know where I can get some shipped to Germany? From UK or other European country would be best so I don't have to go all the way to customs to pick them up. Weird result from Moleskine store attached. There is a big announcement, "NOW AVAILABLE!", and then below near the "Buy" button "not available". ??? amazon.de has them listed, too, but still marked "not available yet"
  10. A line in this article on ArsTechnica this morning caught my eye: ""My three main work tools are my iPhone, iPad, and the Moleskine [a paper notebook that integrates with Evernote's iOS app]," Burton said in a phone interview." http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2013/08/how-mobile-technology-created-a-workforce-that-never-stops-working/ Burton has a blog where he talks at more length about his digital workflow including his use of Evernote (http://perspectiveburton.com/tag/evernote/). Personally, I haven't yet incorporated Moleskine into my workflow. I quite like the idea, and I have a notebook, but somehow I always end up taking notes with a stylus and the iPad. A year into the Moleskine integration (launched about this time in 2012), I wonder how people are putting it to use.
  11. Hey folks! This is my first topic submission on the Evernote Discussion Forums. I'm very excited to have found this space to engage with other users! As many of you probably did, I recently attended EC3 in SF. This really gave me a strong sense of the increasing domination of Evernote in the world of productivity. Reflecting on my experience, I just completed a blog post on why I think this is the case. If you're interested, check it out here: http://actualizingself.com/2013/10/06/evernote-set-to-take-over-world-of-productivity/ What does everyone else think? I'd be curious to hear other's thoughts on who if there are any other companies out there giving Evernote a run for their money. Chris
  12. I just purchased a Moleskine notebook for Evernote. When I read the product description, it implied that I could customize the smart tags to have multiple tags (up to 6 tags) within Evernote associated with each smart tag. When I attempted to assign tags to a smart tag, I was only able to assign one tag to each smart tag. Is there another way to do this or is only one tag allowed?
  13. Is it possible to have two different notes on one page in the Moleskine smart notebook? When I write my notes, e.g. during a meeting, I often end halfway the page. I don't like to start the next note on the next page and leave a half page blank. But then when I scan the notes with my iPhone, I end up with stuff that doesn't belong there. Is there a way to divide those notes? Will Evernote recognize them as different notes when I use the smart stickers (which I haven't used so far). What i do now I scan the pages that belong to that specific meeting and then with Skitch I delete the bottom half of the last note (with meeting notes of the next meeting). Then I scan that page and the following pages for the second meeting, and again use Skitch, this time to delete the top part of the first page (that was the last part of the first meeting). This seems like it's not really the right way of doing it. Any tips? I hope I made sense...
  14. Hi - I recently bought an Evernote Moleskine Notebook. I already have an Evernote account and use it regularly. I would like to use the coupon code at the back of my Moleskine notebook to upgrade to Evernote Premium (3 month complementary subscription comes with purchase of the Moleskine notebook). The instructions in the back of the notebook with the coupon code only provide instructions for setting up a brand new Evernote Account. How can existing Evernote Account Holders use this subscription offer to upgrade to Premium? Please advise. With Thanks, Kylie Barr
  15. Greetings, Phone: Verizon Galaxy S3 (Android 4.1.2) Evernote 5.02 Evernote Moleskine Notebook (large) I purchased the Moleskine Evernote Notebook (large size) to try out the new integration with 5.0. This is what I did: 1. From the Settings->Smart Stickers screen I assigned one of the smart stickers to a particular notebook. I also added a tag. 2. Added the sticker to my first notebook page along with actual notes on the first three pages. 2. Fired up the camera and turned on the new "Page Camera" mode. 3. Snapped pictures of the three different pages (the notebook was lying flat on a dark wood colored table). Didn't have any problems taking the pictures. The pictures showed up in the tiny gallery area of Page Camera mode. This is what I noticed: Pictures were not cropped in any way. Whatever I took is how the pics came out. I even made sure to keep the green ribbon centered between pages but that didn't seem to do anything. I took pictures of individual pages (picture of page1, picture of page2, picture of page3)I did see the sticker was identified on my first page which was great. Unfortunately, when I saved the note it was not added to the notebook I assigned and the tag was not added either. No text recognition on the scanned pages. I searched for a word printed on page one (a unique word that would only be found in this note page) to no avail. This test was done over the weekend so I'm pretty sure nothing was indexed...What else can I try? Any suggestions? Thanks, Robert
  16. I'm using the Moleskine notebook and capturing images of the notes for uploading into Evernote. However, Evernote keeps uploading the same images multiple times, and I reach my monthly limit very quickly. I am a business premium member, so I have a large upload allowance, but it just keeps uploading the same images, and I am helpless to stop it without killing the Evernote app. Any ideas appreciated.
  17. I have the old sponsored group, and Moleskine redemption doesn't work there. But I might be compelled to jump to business if I get 3 months free with each notebook. Will it work, or is the 3 months only for the regular premium?
  18. I am very impressed with Evernote's ability to make my handwriting (both printed and cursive) searchable using the page camera function. I was wondering if there was a way to have that picture converted to a text note?
  19. Hello there I bought the brand new Moleskine Evernote, I was wondering if they already have the camera application for Android users. Apparently there's only IPhone version. Thanks
  20. I am an avid user of Evernote, a Premium member, and always boring people around me about how wonderful and useful it is. But, now I have my Moleskine Notebook, I am disappointed with it's functionality compared to Whitelines which I was using previously. Whitelines has an app [for iphone at least which I use], that takes a precisely cropped image automatically, removes the lines or squared grids and reproduces only what i wrote, drew. It works beautifully. Their notebooks are flimsy and nowhere near as tactile or robust as Moleskine or as nice to handle- but I might give up Moleskine...
  21. After taking a moleskine notebook page picture, the image syncs fine to my account and is visible in evernote on my computer; however, the image size is very small. In comparison, the penultimate images that have been imported to the evernote instance on the computer are much larger and easily readable. (I have attached a comparison of two notebook pages, Moleskine on the left, Penultimate on the right.) Is it possible to resize these images? or have them default to a more easily readable size? My searches seem to suggest that image size editing or defaulting is not simple or perhaps not possible. I am hoping that I am wrong. Chris
  22. C'mon guys - share the love. What use are those nice Moleskin notebooks if only the iBoys and iGirls can use them! - R
  23. Hi all - Preordered my Evernote Moleskine notebooks through Barnes and Nobles and receive a disappointing email today that my order had been cancelled. Not only this, but the notebooks seem to have effectively dipped out of the purview of online retailers. Anyone know if this is simply a production delay or a sign of a more serious issue? I have a litany of uses for the notebooks and would very much like to own one as soon as possible.
  24. I received my smart notebook today. But when I looked in the smart sticker flap, there was nothing there. It seems my notebook didn't come with smart stickers. I looked everywhere within the notebook and the package, but there were no stickers anywhere. Is there a way I can get an extra pack? Thanks.
  25. Nothing against the Moleskine notebooks, but until Evernote fixes the problem with their custom camera app, there's no value added here. Their camera app not only produces soft (less than sharp) images but also compresses files to the point that they cannot be considered printer/scanner quality. For now, you'll find much better value in using whatever notebook you want and using an app like JotNot Pro (iOS). If you place your notebook on a dark background (as recommended by Evernote for the Moleskine notebooks) JotNot will crop right to the edge and the image will be sharp.
