  1. I have created a form with WordPress Contact Form 7 to create journaling entries in Evernote, which work like a charm except for the lack of formatting of the text. I would love some guide on how emails should be formatted so that In can create basic formatting like bold text.
  2. I would like to be able to annotate/markup a pdf (or pic, too) in a note AND edit the note simultaneously. Example: I'm annotating pdf in the Evernote pdf tool, yet when I click back on the note to type something there *while* editing the pdf I lose the pdf being open, so I have to reopen, find my place, continue reading/annotating. Currently, the 2 workarounds I've found, which are quite time consuming: A. New Pdf (1) open PDF on computer, (2) edit with computers PDF editor, (3) save markups/highlights/notes/etc as a new PDF on desktop, (4) add edited PDF to note, (5) delete original PDF from note, (6) delete PDF from desktop... phew! B. useWord MS (1) open PDF in Evernote editor, (2) open a blank word doc, (3) edit PDF in Evernote, take notes on word doc, (4) save PDF changes, (5) cut & past word doc text to note, (6) spend next 30min reformatting all outlines and bullets that "blow up" cutting & pasting from MSWord into Evernote... phew!! Please add this feature? 8-) Love Evernote-- love the team behind it. Thanks for all your hard work! What you do is helping me better organize and complete my PhD research... thank you!!!
  3. It would be great to have a feature to allow quicker markup. Current state - when I want to make some word in text bold 1. double click the word(s) 2. hit command/ctrl + b Desired state - when I want to make some word in text bold 1. turn on "bold markup tool/icon" 2. any word that gets clicked on by cursor is changed to bold Similar thing can be applied to highlight/colored font/italics/others. I am so missing this as I make my "presentation/speech/seminar" notes very colorful & markup rich. It is always a little pain...
  4. Please add the ability to type on the path of an arrow and shape. Allowing the text to be attached to the arrow and shapes in scale and color.
  5. The markup feature that is available in Evernote, doesn't work for me, as I want to write comments in the documents I review. It would be great if it was possible to select a document in a note, click a 'Markup with Penultimate' button, have the document open in Penultimate (as pdf?), make my comments, and then save the pdf with comments back to the original (or new if the user so wishes) note in Evernote. That would enhance my productivity enormously! Cheers, Mark de Vries
  6. I would like to make the following feature request, the ability to view and edit the Evernote markup of a note. As you can see from the attached example, I was recently doing some research on Node.js and storing that information within Evernote. When I copy and paste information from various sources, I find indentation and other formatting can be hard to re-format. In the attached example, you can see this with the first code snippet which is indented. I had no way to adjust this indenting, even though the rest of the formatting looked great. Another example can be seen in the white on grey reversed text. I could not find a way in Evernote to remove this grey background and easily reformat this text. Of course, I could have pasted this is with "Paste and Match Style" but I wanted to retain most of the look (as in the code examples) but just apply some tweaking. As an alternative, maybe you could consider an option we see in applications such as Microsoft Word, which allow Copy Formatting via a paintbrush style tool. This formatting can then be applied to other areas of the document? Thank you for the consideration of this feature request. I am a huge Evernote fan as Premium subscriber. I would love to do a testimonial for you if that would ever be appropriate. All the best, Greg Paskal
  7. Hi, I've been using Evernote on a MAC and iOS device but recently started using it on Android with a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. I'd like to be able to annotate PDFs and images that are in Evernote using the Galaxy's S-Pen. I see that Skitch seemed to be the way to do this before, but it's being end-of-lifed. How is this done now? Thanks in advance for any and all help, Mike
  8. Skitch has a lot of nice, built-in keyboard shortcuts. It'd be nice to have these when marking up/annotating from Evernote, too! Just a suggestion, to save me the extra work of creating all these through the OS.
  9. Hi all, I had just started to use markup within Evernote, a feature that I find extraordinary, and just last night I have installed the new 5.5 update on my MacBook Pro, and just noticed that markup now seems broken. The markup GUI comes up fine, I can create the markup I need, but when I save the file, it is not updated in the note that was selected for markup, and what I had done is simply lost. Am I the only one affected by this? Any more detail need, simply ask. Thanks, Luca
  10. Is there a config option hidden somewhere that will prevent the "markup" panel from popping each and every time I take a screen capture? One use of Evernote that I use it for is generating screen shots of websites/software when producing user guides / manuals etc. It's a quick method of taking a number of screen shots which I can then either manipulate in an external graphics editor, or simply copy/paste into my user guides/manuals etc etc. After a recent update, each time I perform a screen capture, I now have this "markup" panel loading. There doesn't appear to be an option to change this under "Clipping Preferences". Another slightly weird behaviour is that selecting "Open Clipped note in a new window" doesn't actually open up a new window with the clipped note in it. Also, "Show clipped notifications" doesn't have any effect as a notification is shown regardless of this setting. Am not entirely sure what the "Do not show the "New Clip" dialog option should do either, as setting/clearing that option doesn't appear to have any effect. And one final funny with the "Markup" tool, when viewing images from within Evernote client, if I click "Markup" on any image I have created with the "screen clipper", all is fine. The markup panel is opened with the image displayed and I can make any markup changes to the image. Likewise, if I create a new "Markup Note", the screen clipper is then displayed, I take my clip and the markup panel shows my clipped image and allows me to mark it up. If however, I open up an image that was created using for example, the Chrome "Evernote Web Clipper" --> "Clip Image", when the markup panel is opened, there is no image displayed (just a blank markup panel). If you select "Evernote Web Clipper" --> "Clip Screenshot", then a complete image of the screen is saved which you can annotate/markup fine. This is what I see when I open up an image that was created by Chrome "Evernote Web Clipper" --> "Clip Image" And if I click the resize canvas, you get this slightly weird behaviour. In this instance, it's as if the markup tool doesn't know the note is of type "image".
  11. Thank you for Evernote. A few for the wish list. 1.In my field, documents are big and long, and as I read, i feel the need to add more tags for later reference. Currently if I want to add a NEW TAG while editing, I have to interrupt my reading on the iPad (often coming out of edit mode) and go all the way up to put a new tag in which is not at all time efficient, and is dis-incentivising. Suggestion: The option to add a tag from the top bar, while reading on iPad, without having to scroll all the way back up would be very useful. This could be add tag option next to the reminder button, or within one of the buttons as a drop down. In this context, while editing, the note often jumps to the top, autoscrolling if you may, which is particularly prominent if the finger strays outwards to the white areas. 2. Secondly on ipad, when editing a document the screen is not being fully utilised and space is minimal due to the snippet window on the left, and the typing pad at the bottom. (see attached)Suggestion: Having the ability to hide the left sided bar (if in snippet view) would be great as it would provide more space to zoom into the document. 3. Is there going to be some colour choices for mark up of documents? Not critical but enhances the mark up experience! Access to the highlight tool in the context sensitive popup would be useful. Currently only the bold/italicise/underline is available in there. Thank you for considering
  12. Hi, I'm new to evernote. I have tried the your product 4 years ago and was hard to learn and understand. Currently I am giving it another shot. I made some change to a note with Markups. I wanted to clear my Markup's I did on a document and I could not find the clear markup button or the Undo. I had to spend about 15 minitues reading online to find the CLEAR MARKUP location. Is there away where you re-locate this button to the toolbar with the undo button, to make life more simple and UI friendly. All the tools are on the left and that is the only button on the right with the fullscreen view, which feel odd. Thank you, Howard C. Miami, Florida
  13. I just discovered PDF markup in Evernote this morning and was quite excited to start using until I discovered one small issue... When i mark up a PDF, the marks I'm making are visible on the right side in the thumbnails of each PDF page but not on the full size pages themselves. I know they're saving and exist because the file size increases each time I mark it. Has anyone run into this before? I'm using Evernote 5.4.1 on OS X 10.9.
  14. In the evernote app on ios7 (fully updated), when I go to save any markup created on the PDF (by clicking 'save') the entire app crashes/quits and all markup is lost. Just one in a long series of problems I've been having with skitch markup, pdfs and evernote on ios7 and Mac. The markup functionality is now rendered moot and useless as it sporadically does not work, does not save, does not display, or forces the entire program to stop working.
  15. The latest release of Evernote for Mac (5.4.1) allows markup of all notes, including Penultimate notes, which is nice. However, I notice that not only is markup made to a Penultimate note using the desktop app not synced to iOS (no big surprise there), but the pages that have been marked up on the desktop actually disappear from the iOS version altogether. Further, on the Desktop version the annotated page is moved to the end of the notebook after a sync. I understand that two way syncing of Penultimate notebooks is not yet a feature, but it would be better not to allow markup of those notebooks on the desktop if they're going to cause this sort of mess. Anyone else with this experience, or a fix?
  16. I would like to be able to edit a note from Evernote in Penultimate on an IPAD and keep the Evernote formatting for tables, indents etc. An example would be Create a meeting agenda in Evernote on a PC. Sync the PC with my IPad. Import the note into Penultimate. Use a pen/stylist to take notes on the agenda. Presently this is done on a paper copy. Export not back to Evernote with the markups. While saving the text and formatting from the original notes. This can be done using PDF files in Adobe, Nitro and Foxit using the mouse.
  17. Hello.. Is there any function either using the application (Windows or Mac) or the mobile apps, that allows you to remove the html formatting from a web clip? There are times that I have a site or article clip and there are some items I can't remove whether it is a bullet or ordered list. I can't select the last one to remove it from the clipped article. Was wondering if there is a way to see the HTML or remove it all together. Thanks I have attached two screen shots of items I can't get rid of now matter how I select them or try and delete them.
