Default fonts: There does not appear to be a way of changing the default fonts in a new note, is this correct, can it be reintroduced? Templates: Using a template to create a new note with previously applied styling saves time. However, if you add new text fields to the note they do not honour the template and revert to the original preset parameters. Is this correct, can this be reintroduced?

I am trying to export a local notebook. It all goes well but after the export procedure seems to have processed all the notes in the notebook I get the following message: "The file “content.enml” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file." I can find no way to solve or remove this problem. Eventually, after not getting anything useful from Evernote, I tried exporting the local notebooks one at a time and found that the problem was with only one notebook with a large number of notes. I went through that notebook selecting 250 notes at a time and exporting them until I got the

This is a strange one: most attachments in notes will not render in the Mac app. Strangely, everything appears as it should in the iOS app and the web version. So, I know the images aren't lost, but they are frustrating unavailable in the Mac app. This appears to be true for any attachment: PDF, PNG, zip file, plain text, etc. The snippet view shows a broken link for the thumbnail. Attempting to save/download the attachment brings up the dialog for file save, but no file is created upon clicking save. The size of the attachment is displayed correctly. The warning for image attachment ind

Running 6.0.11 (451580 Direct). I have a long note (fills the height of the window) and when I press Enter to get a new line, the cursor drops a line, but the page doesn't scroll up until I start typing. To reproduce: Position cursor at bottom on note (visible on screen). Press Enter and the screen scrolls so that the cursor is on the last possible, visible line. Press Enter again. Cursor disappears. Type something and the page jumps to show the text. First noticed on 6.0.10 and upgraded to see if this would fix it, but hasn't. Anyone else able to reproduce? Update: Okay, this is t

There was a golden era for a few months, maybe even a year, when Evernote's text formatting was pretty solid, but now the extraneous line breaks have returned. It makes using Evernote with any other text-accepting program incredibly frustrating. I haven't been able to find a solid repro path, but I have found that in notes that have nothing but text, and which have no formatting of any kind, sometimes when I copy/paste the text from Evernote into other apps there will be extraneous line breaks. There will frequently be an extra line break above the first line of the note, and sometimes extra

v10.0.10 files saved before the update will not open or even download. Files saved after the update open fine. Everything is working on the web and iOS so I know it's not the files themselves. #funnynotfunny that this feature worked fine .....IN...THE...BETA! #fixit

Instead of hijacking other discussions, I am using this discussion to discuss general scripting on a Mac Evernote/Mac has a scripting layer built in to the app. This feature is accessed using AppleScript with the app Script Editor There's documentation at https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/applescript.php and the Script Editor displays a dictionary for each app Resources Storage and Menu for accessing scripts Import Folder Script: Identify the Note OS File Folder Script - Append Metadata To Note rContents Script - Email to E

Internal links do not open in EN but take the user to EN web app. In the previous version, it opened the linked note in EN. Bug? anyone else experiencing this?

Hi. I'm using the Evernote for Mac app (Not downloaded from App store, but from the EN site itself). The version is 7.14. My search no longer works. For example: Searching for the work 'gift' to find my 'Holiday Gift Ideas' note, returns a note with a .pdf document containing an Appraisal I recently had done on my home. ...That's it. Maybe it contains the word 'gift' but it's certainly not the only note out of my thousands that does. Search works fine on the web: A query for 'gift' returns 66 results. Rebooting didn't help. Reinstalling didn't help. I did a bit of Googling

It would be extremely useful for me to see total word count of multiple notes. As it stands today, I must select Note Details of each note. Ideally, I could highlight multiple notes and in the window that gives the options to Merge, Create Table of Contents, Move, etc., there would be a total Word Count. Thank you.

Hi Community / Dev's Having the following issue with my build; Evernote for Mac; OS Ver: 10.13.3; Evernote Build: 6.13.1 When I start my computer I have the Evernote helper load automatically - so the elephant icon is at the top right after the computer starts, the issue is as follows: If I type anything into the helper and hit 'save to Evernote' - then go to my Evernote and look for it - it's not there... BUT If I create a note from within Evernote - all of the notes that were supposed to be saved from the helper suddenly appear. Bug? Settings Problem?

One feature in some programs is to set the blank space beneath a paragraph, allowing one to hit enter once and still have a white line. When imported into Evernote, I can remove the blank lines, but not always. If it converts to two hard returns, I can delete one. But some still have too much blank space between them. I can't figure out how to remove it in Enote and have to paste into a word processor to change the paragraph formatting before putting it into Enote again. Any way to make this easier?

Since two updates ago (about a week ago), which seemed to be around the same time as the new iOS rollout, Evernote for MacOS is intemittenly not syncing a note. After actively working on a note, I'll see the note meta data saying (last updated 2 hours ago). I have since stopped using it and am now using Evernote for web. At this point I would say only 30% of the time, Evernote is recording the updates and 70% of the time ist completely losing any new updates to a note. Even after closing and reopening it, the modification made to the note are lost. Very frustrating

Hi, We can be a LOT more productive if we can create new notes faster - especially through the MacOS dock. Chrome does this already, other apps do too. See sample screenshot from Chrome. "New Note" is the only one I'd really want to have, but you could definitely add different ones like "Create a Reminder". Cheers

I'm beginning to use Evernote Clipper to save my bookmarks, but was looking for a way to import my existing bookmarks from Chrome, without having to clip every. single. one. I don't really know how to code, so Applescript, etc. was out for me. But I figured out this work around. It requires signign up for a few things, but once you're done, you're done! and the import is quick. Note: This is a crude import system. You may not get pictures imported with the links, or tags automatically added (other then from what you set in IFTTT). It's quick and dirty, but gets the job done. Also, this
